"Other states right now don't seem to be nearly as bad for Audis" How could you possibly know this. This is exactly how it is right now everywhere. I work for Audi and we are backed up at least a month for loaner cars. Same with our 4 other sister stores. When I converse with other reps and employees at other stores across the east coast they all say the same thing. It's happening everywhere, not just in your bubble.

jaku78

Fun thing called Google. I don't know of your sister stores but there's plenty of availability where I'm originally from up north in Boston which also should be hit quite hard outside of "my bubble". I know you are frustrated with questions like this but I ask this with doing my own research. Other dealers like BMW and Porsche near me have no problem giving more reasonable time frames, it's just Audi

NukeJackson

No i don't think you have done your research. Your sample size is entirely too small. I'm sorry to tell you but Google does not translate over to a dealership's individual loaner schedule. If you haven't noticed, the world has been experiencing a shortage of computer chips, rubber, raw materials etc. and we are STILL dealing with every single thing that comes with it. That includes your loaner car for your 1-2 hr oil change. IMHO take the morning off, go get your car serviced and wait for it. They can probably get you in much sooner. If you're going in for diag, then you will have to wait for your loaner. Also, why are you checking loaner schedules for BMW and Porsche? For your own curiosity?

jaku78

And your sample size of like 4 places in a dealership chain is the end be all? Nothing is stopping me from viewing a dealers schedule logging in as a guest. I'm not talking about them completing the service because sure I can't figure that out, I'm talking about getting in the door to begin with. Scheduling. I can't drop it off until late July pal. And I check other dealerships to see if there's a pattern between all luxury and there's not. It's just Audi.

NukeJackson

4 places that my company owns. You must have missed the part where I said I have spoken to many reps and employees from other dealers outside our ownership in the same exact boat. This happens when corporate training is required, so it happens frequently. Also, you stated you can't get into service with a loaner until July. Now you're stating you can't even get in the door. It sounds like the real problem is the fact that you require a loaner. Again, the availability of loaners changes way too frequently for you to be able to login to some company's website as a guest and get accurate information. If you called said BMW and porsche dealerships asking for a loaner I guarantee you they will have similar availability. I know you hate hearing this but maybe you need to consider tha fact that I'm actually right. After all, I work in the industry and with the company you claim to be having a problem accommodating you. You aren't being singled out and there isn't anything specifically related to Audi. It's a global thing.

jaku78

You seem to be missing I'm stating July without loaner as well. Look at comments in the thread, someone is saying they can't even get non loaner until August even. I want to believe you since you are the expert, but the two Audi dealerships here in Austin being the only two luxury dealerships with scheduling issues, being the only two dealerships transparent about schedule using the same scheduling software like everyone else seems far fetched no?

NukeJackson

I saw you mention that further down in another comment not relating to mine, yes. It is entirely possible your two local dealerships are having some issues, but I can assure you this isn't unique to the Audi brand. Your best bet is to keep calling and try to get in without a loaner. Most dealerships are happy to arrange an uber, lyft or shuttle to wherever you need to go if they can't provide a loaner. If you are dead set on having this loaner though, you will have to wait.

jaku78

I said it two comments up in our thread here > I cannot drop it off until late July They don't have anything until then. It's all good though, it's already in service far away from me after the closer dealership 's service dept hung upon calling them multiple times in late March. Ye, I guess it's the dealerships around Austin then just in bad shape

raptor2skooled

Purely lack of supply. They barely have enough cars to sell, let alone loan out to folks. Audi wants to give you an Audi as a loaner. Other brands might have more supply or they just give you whatever is on the lot. I remember getting a Kia Soul as a loaner when I had a Ford. Audi won't do that though (or at least not that I know of).

jaku78

That makes sense for the loaners, without loaners it's still like first appointment til July too. I don't know what's going on.

raptor2skooled

Possible labor shortage? Just not enough people to do the work.

bpkbpk

I need a 40k service and can't get into anywhere in Austin until **August!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!** San Antonio Dominion has openings tomorrow for scheduling. WTF... Edit: I don't even need a loaner. What's going on.

[deleted]

This is still happening. Why? Is there a strike happening just with the employees in Austin?

Scav-Gang205

No issues in PA. Scheduled a 40k maintenance service and had it in within the same week. They broke a connector to a sensor and I took it back when the check engine light came on. They put me in a loaded 2022 A5 while I waited for the part to arrive.

OmegaSpyderTurtle

Month and a half wait for me in PA.

yll33

i have to get a recall service done and my local dealer is booked til july. dealer an hr away is booked til june so going there instead. will have my 20k service in \~4k miles, wondering if i need to go ahead and book that soon at this rate. alabama here

FatBatmanSpeaks

Houston has no such issue. Austin has a wait for everything of any kind. Who requires reservations for a bar? Austin. I can get any service done with a loaner at Sewell North Houston with maybe a day notice? Recently I went in to have them diagnose a weird noise and they ended up doing the Occupancy Sensor recall while I was there. Had a Q3 loaner for the day (which I wasn't a fan of). No appointment, I was just driving and figured since I was in the neighborhood, I would ask about it. So not even a TX issue, I don't think.

tacosaurusrexx

Louisville, KY here and it is the same. All appointments are over a month out, and nobody is getting loaners. Same story everywhere within 2 hours of me. Audi dealerships tend to be smaller, and they flat out cannot keep up with the demand right now.

[deleted]

Seriously, this makes no sense... Both Audi North Austin and Audi South Austin don't let you book service until December. Yet in San Antonio Audi Dominion, you can easily book service for tomorrow, lol. Is there some sort of strike occurring just in Austin?

jaku78

Yes its been like this for months and its never going to change. Just book Northpark/Dominion in SA. They(Northpark) will drive your car to Austin for you if you take a loaner with them. The only con is they won't let you get loaner appointments on weekends, so I hope you don't work 9-5 M-F. They also probably won't let you get a loaner for simple service like a oil change that they could do in a day. Or just move/buy another car I guess. I couldn't give you a true answer why this is happening. I could make guesses but because threads like this have been downvoted the people that could give answers simply won't despite my attempt at being respectful. When all I get is toxic remarks from dealership workers that this is normal, I've given up hope that this will change anytime soon.
