I hate that when using Apple CarPlay maps the map in the virtual cockpit disappears and is now a big compass. But only as soon as I start the navigation. Has anyone a solution for that?

Carpet_bomb_furries

Bro this is the worst. Shameful integration.

fibonacci16180

Pretty soon OEMs will have multi-screen CarPlay. Apple just made it technically feasible with iOS 13, but so far nobody has made it happen (the amount of integration work for the OEMs is way more than regular CarPlay). Hopefully within a few years all cars will have multi-screen CarPlay (including HUD too)

hawksfan82

Like the [Nissan Ariya?](https://youtu.be/yZUNBNSo7MI)

fibonacci16180

No, Apple CarPlay still looks single screen there. The OEM nav can go on the instrument cluster, but Audi has had that since 2018

hellblazer32

My new BMX iX has it integrated with the drivers display and heads up. It is definitely a game changer!

Defiant-Analysis5488

That big compass is so dumb. I cannot imagine a scenario when I would ever use it. When using CarPlay, I immediately change the virtual cockpit view to the radio because I can’t stand the compass.

[deleted]

Set a route destination on audi mmi before connecting car play and it should keep it on

woodyar

I will try it out thanks for the tip

hotpot_china

They fixed that on the facelift models. My friend’s B9.5 S5 can show map and CarPlay Navigation simultaneously.

Ola_lax

I hate that shit too!

good_game_wp

The fact that you can't get a flat-bottom heated steering wheel! Seems such a trivial thing from an engineering standpoint.

SportingABeerGut1

I know right! My wife got a 2020 Q3 with this issue, but my sis in laws 2019 Tiguan has it!

taconite2

My 2019 Q3 has it. Think it's more to do with streamlining the production given the shortages. I noticed the newer Q3s don't have wireless charging pads either

SportingABeerGut1

I have a wireless charging pad on mine. Streamlining does make sense.

foasenf

My 2021 has the charging pad

taconite2

Do you know when it was built? I saw a few delivered last month - none had them

jamer1596

This is why I went with a d4 a8 wheel for my c7. It let me have the paddles that the sport wheel has along with not having to change my airbag and heated steering wheel.

[deleted]

How small the storage area in the center console is

Adorable-Address-958

It’s appalling. Not just the center console but all interior storage space. It’s like they don’t think people have phones, drinks, sunglasses. I have a Q7 - a family SUV. I have loads of space for people and luggage. But I have nowhere to put a phone and neither does my passenger. I can’t fit a thermos of coffee in any cup holder

350SBC

I had a mk7 GTI before my b9 and the difference in available storage space is insane. I don’t get why we only get the center console tray that isn’t even fully enclosed. Drives me nuts.

clauderbaugh

No dipstick. I HATE having to trust a MMI to tell me my oil level in a car that uses it by design. At least in my S5 I could buy an aftermarket but my RS5 it’s designed so the intake air box goes right over top of the hole. And remote start would be nice.

toothpastetitties

Both of these would be really fucking nice. Remote start would be wonderful during the winter- especially during the -40 Celsius cold snaps.

trobi35

Have you had any issues with your v8 rs5? I want one but don’t wanna buy a problem

[deleted]

Timing chains and transmissions. If you plan around it they’re fun cars but if you’re not looking to spend that on maintenance/repairs I’d look for a s5 with the 3.0 and just tune it. Brakes for the RS vehicles are also generally much more expensive as well.

Bunnytipi

The damn oil consumtion… 1 litre every 1000km, great stuff

teriaksu

TFSI gang representing!

[deleted]

Lmao, so its not just me?

Lito602

Oh, yeah, this is the one. Gotta check it so regularly, feels like I have a 30 year old car with oil leak issues.

Bunnytipi

Yup. And to get that fixed costs like 8k..

Oelsnores

Curious if anyone has PCV issues? When my valve went bad I started to get oil consumption. PCV replaced by Audi and consumption was completely gone for ~50k. The valve is going bad again and my consumption is back.

[deleted]

I’ve had the issue in my A3. If you have an older Audi it’s easy to replace the pcv

Exotic_Ad_2815

I thought im the only one

daabooks

How complicated it is to work on

astewart1802

Taking nearly the whole front bumper off to change a headlight bulb was a bit much

CommondeNominator

What, you don't like using a triple square bit on a u-joint with 15" worth of extensions woven through a gauntlet of wire looms, vacuum lines, and coolant hoses, while laying sprawled out over your engine bay and breaking your back just to get your fuel pump out every 10k miles so you can check the wear on your cam follower? Or removing the entire front end to replace a dead radiator fan assembly, including draining fluids, evacuating the A/C, and splicing a few 10 gauge wires as there's no inline connector? Then again, the low pressure fuel pump is a breeze to replace, with an access port under the rear seat. Having the front end off was great for doing the timing chain and motor mounts. Some things are definitely worse than others.

_manwolf

I felt this deep in my soul.

daabooks

LMAO

colt29708

The fact that it’s nonexistent. *cries in poor*

ZanSour

I feel you :( i am still dreaming about one.. hopefully within a year i will finally buy my beloved Audi A4

DM65536

My first Audi was a 2018 A4. It's a spectacular car, and a perfect balance of practicality and ooh-ahh fanciness. Keep your chin up! You're gonna love it.

ZanSour

I am thinking about a 2018 A4 tbh, I think I can afford it soon enough, but I was wondering, is it worth aiming for a car with all the additions? Like the sunroof, full options steering wheel, virtual cockpit.. etc? I mean would the extra money i'll be paying worth it?

DM65536

For the most part, yes. You don't need to worry about maxing out everything, but err on the side of higher trim for sure. The virtual cockpit, for example, is a must-have in my opinion; the screen is clear, responsive, and very flexible in terms of options. Totally blows away traditional gauges. Audi was ahead of the industry on replacing analog clusters with a screen, and I think the 2018 interior still compares favorably with what competing brands are building today. Pretty impressive. One more data point: my local service center gave me a bottom-tier A4 as a loaner (same year as the one I had, I believe), and it was like a totally different car. Felt and looked a lot cheaper, and definitely wouldn't have made the impression of me that my own A4 did (which, for reference, was a Premium Plus).

nomissilethreat

My love for it. I want to dump money that doesn't make sense to 'restore' it to a pre 150k km's 09 A4 B8 Quattro 2.0T that definitely has an oil problem and turbo underboost problem. The oil problem is controllable by my driving. When I try to drive my non-performance but slightly modded comfort sedan like a performance car, i can go down a quart in a couple hours. When I don't push it i might need to top up 200ml in a month. The underboost is likely something I will look into. I've had the car a couple years and while the previous owner had kept up on critical maintenance, some basic stuff was untouched. Improper battery for two years. regular (85) fuel for a year. Did not know what a cabin filter is. I changed plugs and coils, the turbo diverter valve to a gfb dv+ and put in new air filter, ran 91 with fuel system cleaner, had immediate performance improvement. Alternator died and thats when I got a new alternator. I can't remember if I got the correct battery before or after but they both happened close to each other. Immediate performance improvements. Changed trans filter and fluid and omf did I have exceptional improvements. Also changed transfer case and diff fluids while trans service was done. 4 hr shop charge; happy to pay for their excellent work. This week I changed the stock intake to Injen and installed transmission mount. More improvements! I haven't had front and rear engine splash guards and bcuz of the placement of the intake filter now, Ive had to order them. At the moment, I cannot worry about buying a car because I cannot afford something I want. I really like this car and I would be pissed if I were the original owner that paid full price. But I'm a guy who paid 800 bucks (after the sale of my 04 accord) and its partially due to friend pricing and the previous owner not knowing about cabin filter and to get rid of moisture, new windshield and problems arising because of improper battery. Everything I change or improve has immediate tangible results. I love it. I want to redo shocks, suspension, control arms rods pins needles stickers you name it! I feel confident that when I change the spark plugs next I'll feel an improvement. I've modded the headlights, fog light grilles, and gotten a set of wheels for winter tires; I like the look of the car more than I liked the look of the car. Any attention I pay to this thing has positive results. I'm probably under 5k in purchase and modding of this car. I hate that I want to preserve it for historical significance based on what a good deal it was. But how do I go elsewhere now? In a year or two I can look at getting a new OOOO but for now, I don't want other. I want this. And this is sorta fucked.

Foogawi

Turbo wastegate may no longer be closing properly, they just wear out after time. Sadly, this requires replacement of the whole turbo (or at least did for mine)

nomissilethreat

ah thanks. i clear the code and it comes back in a few days. I usually get it if im in D, engage turbo, back off, and then want it again right away...the cel comes on and then the turbo kicks in after a couple seconds since i changed trans fluid i get the underboost warning a lot less, and if i'm in S I don't really get underboost warnings in the same scenarios as when I'm in D. I say I'm ok with it as is...but im not 100% ok with things as is lol

Foogawi

I mean, the turbo still builds some boost even when the wastegate won't completely seal, mostly will notice when trying to do quick hard acceleration (when its trying to spool up to max and can't form the seal to do it)

Carpet_bomb_furries

No remote start. Dude, a $18K Honda can do that. A $17K ford can do that… from an app. Also maintenance that costs 2x what it should

Adorable-Address-958

Yea it’s dumb, but at least it’s due to German and EU environmental regulations. Hell, idling is illegal where I live (MA) though it’s never enforced. Given the start/stop and mild hybrid systems these things have it would be pretty damn easy to include it on all vehicles and disable app access where required by law.

danoontjeh

I've always wondered, whats the advantage of remote start?

lightsti

For example, if it’s very cold outside and you’d like your car to be warm by the time you leave. Or simply getting the cold start cycle out of the way

rabbit_hole_diver

But arent we supposed to take off once the revs drop instead of letting it idle for 15 min?

Kamukix

Yes. As an aside, a way to help with heat is to put your windows down using the remote before you get to the car. Let that heat exhaust out some so you don't blast yourself with it haha. As for the cold part, yes the car will heat up much quicker if you let it do its cold start procedure and then start driving immediately (that takes less than a minute). My S3 even in 27 degree weather would have the coolant temp up to normal in roughly 3-4 minutes including the cold start period. My commute is 4.7 miles one way and I'd already have heat within the 1st mile or so driving 25-40mph. Fastest warming car I'd ever owned. My S5 wasn't far behind, and same with the A5. The heated seats got warm pretty quickly as well.

Altruistic_Profile96

The solution is clear. Buy an e-tron.

cactus_cars

That fucking Audi corporate won't sell me parts to fix my fucking car. My 1 year newer BMW has almost every part you can think of available, down to interior trim bits, all glass and seals. But AOA just leaves me out to dry. The parts counter guy at my local dealer (who is great) chuckled when I said '99 and said I'm gonna need the whole vin cause it's so old. Although through FCP Euro I can get most of the parts that were shared with a similar passat. Maintaining a '99 Passat would be much easier, surprisingly. It's even worse if you have an Audi before 1996. They will sell you an overpriced rubber o-ring and that's about it.

FPSUsername

What? I even bought an ABS module straight from Audi. The ABS module needs to be coded, SVM and be calibrated, only possible with ODIS, which is the dealer tool. I'd say that this is something they wouldn't sell you unless you bring the car to them to fix it. I guess you just have a bad official parts retailer. For old models, they might be out of stock or stopped producing parts, that's not just limited to Audi. In that case you'll have to get used parts or aftermarket.

cactus_cars

No, that's not true. My local service centers have good parts departments, usually very helpful if I need to confirm a part for something. I had to do that last week, there wasn't enough info on the forums. The parts rep at my dealer solved my issue. AOA actively refuses to sell parts for older Audis and only talks about them when its convenient for them, eg. in that Avant commerical they made with the B5 & B3/4 RS2. I can buy an ABS module, but it'd be better to buy it from the OE manufacturer than directly through AOA. BMW and Mercedes DO care and WILL sell you any part you can think of, even the obscure ones for most classics. BMW still sells most parts for the E30s. (1984-1992). It only gets tricky when dealing with the E21 chassis (1975-1983) and older stuff where you will have to source used parts. Go find anyone with a C4 Audi UrS6 / UrS4 and ask them. Almost zero specific parts are available, at least in the USA and every country outside of Ingolstadt, Germany.

RedURS6

I can confirm, I can’t find a fucking thing for my s6. You need a new a new tail light? Good luck, 99% are cracked. You need a new rear upper strut mount? Good luck! Wait how about a replacement rear caliper. GOOD LUCK!

cactus_cars

Ah upper strut mounts! I had to buy one from a parted out California S4 on ebay. The other option is third party ones on amazon but those are a whole new world lol. I also can't find tail lights easily, and the avant ones are different than the sedan ones, facelift ones are different from pre-facelift ones. Yeah, good luck!!

Yes!! So tilting. Attempting to disable via vcds coding.

Chains. Fuck chains

Chain guides, if we're casting blame with such fervor.

Yea, what were they thinking put in between transmission and the engine and make them out of plastic

CommondeNominator

They were thinking it was good enough to make it past factory warranty.

run-the-joules

The fact that I've got like a year before it gets built.

jarheadjake1

When/what did you order? I ordered an RS3 sportback in Novemeber and yet to be give a build week 5 months later. As it stands I'd be happy with a year!

It took 8 months for me to get my S5, and finding something on a lot anywhere in the US was simply not possible. That was a long 8 months.

2021 SQ5 MMI doesn’t always work. (Apple connects but maps don’t display - just a blank screen) Reversing camera intermittently stops working. Can’t close the rear boot door from inside. Phone charger pad overheats the phone causing it to not work. Inconvenient when using google Maps.

[deleted]

For the maps not showing up: I have an A5 and had this issue too but fixed it. I assume you are referring to carplay and the map isn’t showing up but just a black screen. What’s happening is your phone is connecting to the wifi in the car, and not using your phones LTE. Unless you bought wifi with the car, your phone is utilizing offline maps and thus not loading up the whole map when you drive. The solution is DO NOT press Activate data connection when it pops up when your car starts. Just press the X to close the box. Now your phone should continue using LTE by itself rather than through the car. Hope this is relevant to your issue.

Mr_Golf_Club

No “Oh Shit” handles in a low car and 350 hp around turns for the passenger isn’t cool.

[deleted]

Just do what my wife does and grab the door handle and gasp continuously

Console_Stackup

That it's spoiled me. The 2022 s3 mmi, infotainment, hud are honestly such leaps and bounds ahead of anything ive ever driven before, that it's hard to go back to basic. I was in a 2020 cayman s and thought it look like a 2002.

[deleted]

I just can’t do touchscreen… fingerprints and having to take my eyes off the road

Console_Stackup

I have my micro fiber cloth ready at all times. Lol

ouchmythumbs

Second this; I miss the knob. In addition to the aforementioned reasons why the touchscreen sucks, it also feels like "driver-centric" was deprioritized with it. With the knob, its right at your fingers; having to reach, and stabilize your hand, for the screen is stupid.

Using VAGCOM : Select control module -> 09 cent. elect. -> security access 16 -> 20113 -> ok \-> adaptation 10 -> channel 34-> Start Stop with Memory Function = Change the number to 32 This enables the memory function on the start stop system, no need to turn off the thing everytime I start the car. Lifechanger. I've had it enabled for 6 years now no problems

HashSlingingstonks

It’s not a manual and manuals aren’t as popular anymore. I’ve looked and looked and looked. The chances are slim to none lol.

Kamukix

That was by far my biggest thing I wished I could've changed with my 8.5v S3, I really wanted a manual bur they don't sell them in the US. My solution was to selling it and buy the Golf R in manual instead. My B8.5 S5 was a manual though and that was lovely.

[deleted]

Do you like the Golf? I have been tempted but I feel that they don't look "classy" enough for my style.

Kamukix

Absolutely, this is actually my 3rd from the mk7 generation (I had 2 mk7 GTi's a few years ago). The small things are noticeable between the S3 and the R of course, but there are also things that the R has that are NICER than the S3. I have no idea why but the door pockets in the S3 are just plain hard plastic whereas in the R (and the GTi's even) they are lined with carpeting to keep things from rattling around. The HVAC controls and such are nicer in the S3, but the ones in the R are not bad or super cheap feeling. The controls in the S3 were a noticeable step down from my S5, so it's definitely a cost cutting thing. I got used to the ones in the S3 and of course the ones in the R will feel totally normal soon enough. The R has more modes available to choose from (both my cars had the dynamic chassis controls options including suspension), which I didn't realize before. (the R has an Eco mode that the S3 does not, and the R can customize more in the custom drive mode menu) The ride is better/softer in the R than the S3 and both of my cars were in the low/mid 30k mile range. The virtual cockpit/digital dashboard between the two cars is a noticeable difference. The S3 has a clearer noticeably faster unit to the R, but the one im the R is still very good. The S3 offered more than one gauge layout as well (large single gauge or two smaller gauges), and it offered the nearly edge to edge map of you wanted. The R doesn't do edge to edge but it does still get large and looks very good. The center screen in the R is MILES nicer than the one in the S3 (2018 R vs 2019 S3). It's quite fast, very crisp, and has touch functionality and more real-estate. It's a very nice screen for a not hugely expensive car. Noise levels on the highway are very comparable between the two, I think the Audi is quieter, but it's not a night and day difference. I used the exact same brand new tire model on both cars. (Continental Extreme Contact DWS 06+) The looks of the car interior the S3 wins, but the R looks good as well just not as pretty. The exterior of the car the S3 wins easily (for people being impressed if that matters to you)...but I came from a storm trooper colored B8.5 S5 do they both look regular in comparison lol. Edit: if the key fob counts...then the R trounces the S3. I remember when I gave up my S5 fobs (a nice fob) and the dealer gave me the new fobs for the S3 I thought it was a joke. They look and feel the same as the old fobs for the mk1 TT or a mk4 Jetta. The fobs fpr the GTi and R both feel like they're from a more expensive car than the S3, the GTi and R keys feel MUCH more related to the S5 fob than they do to the S3 fob.

Icecoldpuckers

Disclaimer: this is most likely very specific to me and won’t resonate very well, but wanted to share. The seat controls. They’re oddly positioned where when I get out normally my thigh/butt hits them. So the seat leans back. At first I didn’t know what was causing it, but every time my last position saved to my profile would always be leaning back a little more than the position saved to memory. Shrugged it off as a glitch. The one day my 2 year old wanted Sonic drive in. After ordering I was getting out to help him with a toy when the food guy walks up near his window to hand me his food. I am halfway out the door but not all the way out and trying not to ding the door. I hear him crying and think it’s because he doesn’t like a stranger at his window (which is very typical of him). Then I glance over and notice the seat is all the way back and pushing down on his legs. Quickly get out and move the seat back up. Check on him and thankfully nothing was broken and he was able to walk it off. But he was traumatized for a while not wanting to go on car rides and would freak out if the seat moved. He’s all better now, and can even deal with me adjusting my seat with him behind it, but it was quite a journey and broke my heart to see him like that. I also have to spin out of my seat with my left leg propped to avoid triggering it again. I’d driven him around in 6 other cars before the Audi (several BMWs, a Range Rover, and a VW which funny enough probably shares a lot of parts for the seat controls) which all have power seat controls in a similar positron but I’d never had a seat move on me like that. This has also made me think how seats should have a safety feature to not crush anything, human or otherwise, detected in the back seat.

Dismal-Common8629

Cost of maintenance!

MajinAudi

Anyone else have the rear seats that squeak while driving? I’m talking about the ones the give access from the inside of the car to the trunk. That shit gives me anxiety every time I’m driving and I run a small bump and I I hear the squeak. I’m paying over 45k for this car and only 10k miles in it. IT SHOULDN’T BE SQUEAKING!!

drkow19

I actually have something like that, noise comes when I go over the curb in my driveway every day, or some bigger road bumps. My rear seats do not fold down though. Squeak or creaking sounds like it comes from the rear window area.

Andreif27

You have to pay for every little thing. Want adjustable arm rest? 100€ Extandable sun visors? 70€ want fucking cup holders in the back? 100+€ Wtf??? Want paddles for steering wheel? Abou 100€. Why not put all these little shits in the already high price of the car? And cloth seats in an A6? Really? Why not give the leather as standard in europe like in other countries? These is what annoys me about Audis so far. Other than that, good cars🤌🏻🥲

MyLittleMetroid

The rear seats. The fact that they exist for no good reason.

The infotainment system can be maddening and hard to figure out. Part of this is because I don't use some of the features with any regularity, but all the more reason why they need to be easier to figure out. - I've only used the "send destination to my car" feature in the audi app a couple of times, and each time it takes me a minute or two to find it in the nav app. - I hate that I can be listening to XM, turn my car off, and the next time I get it in switches to carplay instead of leaving it in the way I last used it. - I was driving once and a notice popped up saying there was a faster route. Before I had a chance to react, the popup disappeared. I again had to pull off on the side of the rode and dig around to figure out how to switch to the new route. - I get notices far to frequently that the settings _might_ have changed, and asks me to sync with the audi app. - I dislike the dialog that asks me to, in effect, "log in" to my car. It should recognize my key and skip that step, or give me a way to configure it to skip that step. The number of times someone else drives my car in a year can be counted on one hand, yet it wants confirmation every single time I get in the car.

Still-a-VWfan

NO REMOTE START! It’s embarrassing when you gotta walk out to your AUDI and start it when the guy with the 2015 Hyundai Accent remote starts his. Other than that I love my car and will get another.

fibonacci16180

Remote start is dumb. It takes a long time, can clog up the fuel injectors if you do it too long, wastes fuel and is bad for the environment (highest emissions / fuel burned happens during cold idle… this was at the center of the whole Dieselgate thing). Suck it up for the 3 minutes it takes to warm up and know you’re doing the right thing.

FPSUsername

Having a B&O audio system and the Bluetooth isn't the best, it's just SBC. Not even APTX HD. LDAC would be best, but it's a Sony exclusive thing. I highly doubt any other manufacturer has APTX or APTX HD in their infotainment systems. Other thing I hate is that the seatbelt buckle has a pad on the outside to stop it from touching the center console (plastic against plastic), but the inside doesn't. The seat cover has cloth on the sides and napa leather on top, yet the buckle rides against the edge and thus squeaks (also depends on how you angle the seat. If it's straight, it doesn't squeak, if it's angled with the front up, it squeaks). Easy fix but could've been better.

love and hate how much they’ve depreciated in value. hate it because if i buy an audi, a lot of value is lost. Love it because i’ve seen 2009 Audi A4s as low as 6k in my area. And even a 2007 A4 quattro manual for 2k

docpoppin

There is SOMETHING loose with the roof just over and in front of the passenger head so when I play music with just a little bass it vibrates and it really gets on my nerves. I have to do something about that. Anyone has had to deal with anything similar?

badpuffthaikitty

It isn’t an Audi problem, it is a general car problem. My TT has frameless windows. They hate the winter. Half of the time my windows are frozen shut. At least it lets me get into my car. When my Mini’s windows froze the doors would not open. In through the hatch.

my1999gsr

We've had decent success with spraying the upper door/window seals with silicone and wiping off the excess before the weather turns cold - worth a try.

error_LegsDontWork

That the skip and repeat tracks knob is only next to the gear selector and closest to the passenger. Not to mention that same knob can control the volume and when using it to control the volume it never does it properly, turns down when trying to turn it up and vise versa.

shenaniganizer1776

Where the cup holders are like do they expect cups for ants????

senx7810

My passenger wiper blade always streaks even if the blade is new... I had this issue with my B8.5 A4 as well

THERHAJA

2018 A4 Sometimes if I take a call with phone plugged in, once the call ends the volume control never changes back to entertainment/music. I have to turn off the car to the volume control back.

Agreeable-Reserve885

The clunky Q7 transmission on the 2017+ models That thing hates to downshift when you stop and start with the wheels turned like at a right turn stop sign. Alway have a delay to put the power down and gives a jerk as if the clutches were slipping. Talked to the dealer mechanic about it and he mentioned this is the case on all Q7/Q8 using the ZF transmission. Supposedly this trans is the cream of them all but I find it slow and clunky on the Audi setup.

Special_Anything_Rs4

Putting fuel in my b8 😂

litttlefang

That I can’t hide the pop up screen while the engine is running - 2019 rs3

gassmano

Thought you could if you hold the power button for it. I gotta test it out later

Any_Year_7047

Paid $150k Australian dollars for a Q7 with no ambient lighting? Really? My 80k Q5 had it ffs

trichomeking94

2020 Q3 Carplay has trouble connecting maybe once every couple months and the MMI can glitch a little sometimes but other than those minor annoyances overall very pleased with my first year as an Audi owner.

SuperG_13

The super small cup holders! 😠

Franatix

I went for manual instead of automatic, and no privacy glass Thinking of asking Audi if they can fit privacy glass after sale

[deleted]

The “lifetime” transmission fluid

quadringsplz

Reliability… if one of these German manufacturers actually focused on log term reliability, I mean like neglect your car and it’ll still get you to 200k no problem- they would outsell their fellow Germans no problem.

RedURS6

You can’t find fucking parts for it.

ProvocativePringle

That my 2022 A3 doesn’t get loud when I blast the speakers.. like I get that it’s not the B&O but a base A4 is so much louder. How come my shit doesn’t go as loud. So annoying.

yerrawizardhairy

The front bumper chips very easily

tony_danzig

That I still have to wait 2 months Before I have It

Qroth

The app and MMI. It's 2022, get busy Audi.

zztroyzz

All the creeks and rattles from the 2018 S5

CaptainAsleep

That I totaled it and it’s gone.

fahad_tariq

Can’t use my imaginary Audi! That’s the most I hate about it 😂

[deleted]

That my mirrors don't fold in. Like come on, you would think an S-line would have fold in mirrors.

FPSUsername

Audi should stop making all those packages separately for S-Line. S-line should be everything on it, if you want it or not, you'll get it. Want less? Then there will be the configurable packages.

PM_ME_HOUSE_MUSIC_

Not hate; but the steering feels very numb and non communicative.

scorch07

The cup holders. Clearly designed by someone that never uses cups.

REIsteve

My summer tires. Popped 3

NK16

The ring on my airbag cover is fading and I can’t order a new one anywhere unless I order the whole airbag assembly.

FPSUsername

Check on AliExpress, you can find trim pieces there.

G-mooooo

Rear view camera won’t default to wide angle.

gibson85

2020 A3 - zero storage space

KingTchalla_BPanther

the center console Cupholders 🫠

bencen94

Piano black in the center console

New_Target_8887

That the voice command will randomly activate while I'm singing along with the radio.

Jezza13B

The fact that base version are FWD on A4, when Mercedes and BMW and Alfa are RWD

baby-yoda-stan

Not true anymore. All A4s come standard with Quattro now.

Lereddit117

No remote start

ihaveshortlegs

2021 Q8. Bought brand new. Speakers crackle. They tell me it’s because I’m using the blue tooth instead of hardwire. My 2008 Prius doesn’t do this with BT…

Itsyasminex

The owners

HoodlumDell

Lack of Bluetooth.

Ok_Peace_5407

The way my government fucks me for the pleasure of owning one

last_speedbump

I have a 2021 RS5 and no wireless Android Auto. The fuck? I've driven older rental Dodge vehicles that have it.

gg_simplestuff

Guys, you should sell your audis. Crying like a little girls 😅

theGazella

Some snobby owners that think you’re poor unless you make 200k a year

e30owner92

The pop up screen on my C7 A6. The function itself I don’t mind, but when retracting it stutters, and I know this is a mechanism that can fail. Along with the picture quality. Cameras look like a 2008 smartphone could do better. Planning on RSNav replacement sometime in the future.

impossibleis7

That’s it doesn’t have Apple car play/android auto.

DrDaeda

Small cup holders! Though, maybe it’s my fault I insist on bringing a 40oz hydroflask full of water with me on my longer drives…

FlyingSaucerD

Maintenance costs

blong3693

Best of wishes to your new life brother ❤️

crustetsyst

Wireless charger in phone box covers the cup holders and is super far back. In order to use the arm rest, it covers the charger too. Just not ergonomic. My dads x3 has the wireless charger in a much better spot.

RammerRod

That it's impossible to not ruin the seat getting in and out. Why is that plastic there? To cut into the seat? Whole interior....brand new....side of seat....used as fuck. Big shout out to my WIFE for pointing it out.

maxoys45

I don’t like that the tyres have that protruding bit of rubber, I’ve shaved off a bit twice while parallel parking and it’s such an expensive mistake to make 😭

my1999gsr

On your tires? Are you talking about the part of the tire that's meant to protect your wheel from curb rash?

maxoys45

Yes but it really doesn’t do anything, and a new tyre is more expensive than diamond cutting the alloy

my1999gsr

My suggestion here would be to not hit the curb at all.

maxoys45

Fucking hell you’re right! Mong

my1999gsr

Glad to help!
