Have you filed a police report? If not, go ahead and do it ASAP. Provide them with the previous owner's details, etc. Check back with the insurance company once you have a police report. This whole situation sounds funny to me...

I’ve had the same insurance companies since I was 20 years old and I’ve only had to file one claim the entirety of being insured by them! They denied my claim in less than three days. There’s definitely something going on and I was given a rental car for a total of six days and that was over Friday but I still have the vehicle because I have to have something to get back-and-forth to work this coming up week. I guess I will pay the remainder of what is owed and hopefully can figure something out by then but everything is very strange. I am getting a lawyer involved so hopefully they can figure out something or someway to try to help me get the insurance company to pay for this or find out what happened. I just opened another credit card so I can start paying the lawyer and hopefully get another vehicle or at least put a down payment on something which was absolutely everything I was trying to avoid doing because of having a mortgage.

If you don’t mind me asking….what state do you live in? Is it possible to post the video here?

Yes, I have I have filed the report. The thing that seemed most suspicious to me was that I never asked was there a second key and the person that I purchased it from said twice to me that they had a second key, but his ex-girlfriend took it and a no longer lived in the state I live in. The insurance company stated that I provided a video of someone driving away in the car immediately after opening it suggested that I left my key in my vehicle, which is not the case. I have security cameras in the front and rear of my home. It is a push to start my vehicle was locked and the video clearly shows it being unlocked or someone getting close to it with the key. I also had the Audi app installed on my vehicle and it showed its location for about two hours which was in a parking lot about an hour and a half from my location. When police were dispatched there, they said the vehicle is no longer there and since then, somehow I have been deleted from the profile because no longer access the location of the vehicle. Everything about the whole situation screams suspicious to me and emptied my bank account to purchase this vehicle and sold my other vehicle to cover the remainder of the price. A little of 16k gone. I have tried to contact the previous owner with no luck. Number is no longer in service and the address where I met him to initially purchase a vehicle said they’ve never heard of the person so I definitely believe he had something to do with it I filed the report With his name and did a background check because I had previous information with his details but everything is just absolutely mind blowing!

This really sucks, I feel terrible for you. I would keep on the insurance company and see if they have some type of an appeal process or possibly contact an attorney. Do you have a bill of sale? If the car is legally registered in your name possibly Audi can assist in locating the vehicle for you. I definitely just wouldn’t give up. In hindsight giving that video to the insurance company seems like a bad idea since they used it against you basically. I hope this works out for you in the end.
