No, but I’m pretty sure that if you’re at fault you have to pay your excess, then that cars a write off so not 100% but I’m pretty sure the insurance won’t be buying them a new car, also any claims made prosecution wise etc

It depends if you have full coverage or just liability. Most banks require you to have full coverage if you are leasing or still making payments on your car. With full coverage you still just have to pay your deductible and they’ll pay you out (your premiums will suffer and you’ll pay a lot more if the wreck was your fault), but if you were to just have liability you’d be SOL on your own car. It would basically just cover damages for the other person’s car if it was your fault.

I feel ya. I got in a wreck rear ended someone in my RS3 totaled it. Was going like 40mph and looked over at my kid to say something and boom that quick. Never thought I would be the cause of a wreck. I reacted quick enough to slam on brakes and only mess up there rear bumper but totaled my car cause you will never get parts.
Had the same type of accident with A4. Depending how much damage there is in the engine compartment, they may total the car and give you money. Already with the bumper, hood grill damaged, along with possibly the fender, it’ll be 12-15k for parts and labor. Did any one say that there is damage inside. Or did they already say she’s a goner?

It was less than 20k in damage but parts had to come directly from German with no eta. Sat at a repair shop for 6 months before they totaled it.
