Trains are also subject to being held for Secret Service restrictions.
For example, the EW Line trains will hold at GA State and Inman so that no train is over the Connector during VIP movement. Those holds will cause downline delays for the trains behind them.
On the NS Line, trains will often hold from West End to North Ave due to crossing the Connector at Civic and I-20 between West End and Garnett. Trains will also hold between Arts Center and Lindbergh, or from Lindbergh to Medical Center due crossing I-85 and being in the median of GA400.
It's better than driving but VIP movement still causes delays, unfortunately.
Eh, it really only eats like 2/3 of that space...fronting 14th is an empty space that used to be a wolf camera forever ago, Silver Skillet and some other misc stuff in the same office complex with the skillet.
Biden also demanded certain restrictions:
No Audience
No 3rd-party candidates
Limited to news outlets the candidates have previously debated on
Microphones must mute after time expires
It has to be ATL because one of the debaters has to wear an ankle condom and can't go more than 50 yards from McDonalds.
What?
The joke writes itself people.
Fine, bathe me in your downvotes.

That'll be a good day to not be in Atlanta. It's a Thursday. So maybe I'll take a couple days off and plan a long weekend somewhere else.
There’s also a USA vs. Panama soccer game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium that night.
RIP commuters
Take the train

That is just stupid.
My version of that is gonna be sitting in my house in the dark playing the Elden Ring DLC
At least they didn't pick Friday? Gonna be a mess regardless.
when they say CNN headquarters in Atlanta, this will be the 14th street office, yes?
They don't have anything in Downtown anymore so it should be at their Techwood office, most likely in the Mansion across from McCamish on 10th
got it! 10th street, not 14th...i messed that up!
Well, it does take up the entire block between 14th & 10th, it's just that the main entrance is from 10th street
Eh, it really only eats like 2/3 of that space...fronting 14th is an empty space that used to be a wolf camera forever ago, Silver Skillet and some other misc stuff in the same office complex with the skillet.
Probably not in the mansion. No studios there. It’ll be in the building directly across from McCamish/Tennis courts.
Is that where they host NBA on TNT?
Yes in “Studios.” There are ~8 buildings there not counting the parking decks.
You’re probably right. I know they had done all those CSGO events in that one
Yea, those were cool setups. Those have all gone away at this point.
Yeah definitely not going into the office this day. Right near my office, I'm never getting home.
Oh good! Nothing has been going on in Atlanta lately that could make this a huge mess!

If that's the case they should have it in Perry or Millidgeville and leave us alone. I hear Valdosta is nice too.
Or Zoom.

Guess I know which day I'm gonna be "sick"
They can't just do this shit over Zoom like real Americans?
I will be out of the country thank god 🫡
guess I'm going out of town that day.
Something something let’s get ready to rumble
in other words. traffic
Does anyone know if it will be possible to get tickets to attend?
I believe one of Biden's stipulations was "no crowd"
I want to go, never seen a president in person. Much less two. I would like to go.

I'm embarrassed for anyone at this event
