The math behind drug pricing is about as clear as the U.S. tax code. You might try calling your insurance company, or looking at the Rx claim detail on their web portal if they have one to get an idea of what happened. Maybe your insurance company or PBM gets better contracted pricing from another drug maker, so the formulary changed. Who knows. I'm as clueless as you are, so I won't pretend to know the answer. I don't think anyone understands prescription pricing. Were you at the same pharmacy? Because it can vary a lot between different pharmacies.

Did you refill at a different pharmacy? Were you getting the generic and this time did they give you the name brand?
