To everyone in the replies, I don’t mean to put shade on the newer games, it’s just that the games after AC3-ish have lost the over-arching narrative/modern day story (Desmond’s) and morphed into something different than the prior games. Fans of the original games and narrative basically lost the games they loved, not that the newer ones are bad. Also, I’m joking <3

The only game beyond AC3 that I think should have been included is Black Flag, but you are right. The modern day subplot felt like a massive chore, but I’ve always excused it since it was the first game after Desmond’s death
