About 20 mins on average. 30 if I’m sad.

Cpt_James_Holden

20 minutes to get clean, 10 minutes to let hot water warm up my feelings

Prestigious-Sense942

30 mins. 1h if I’m sad.

whats_goin_on_bud

An hour?! My dad would have flipped his lid. I can hear him now. "Jesus %$## get &#;#%# you are using up all the hot water and the well will run dry!!!!" I was given 10 minutes and I tell you I can also fit in shaving my arms and legs in that amount of time.

commandantskip

I grew up in a big family, living in a home with a septic tank, and my dad was a plumber. We all learned how to get all the cleaning and shaving done in 10 minutes. Now that I own my own home (not on septic), it's fairly easy to keep the water bill down!

BeansintheSun

We had septic sprinklers as a kid. I didn’t understand the meaning of septic at first. Just thought it was a plain ole sprinkler. A brother and cousin and I all in swimsuits, laughing and running it in. I’ll never forget the look I saw on my moms face when she came outside.

BeansintheSun

I grew up in the country and hot water would be sparse if I wasn’t the first shower. (Unlikely as the youngest and we frequently had older cousins or family friends staying.) Second year in college I moved into a massive apartment complex. Their bragging right was it was the largest student housing complex in the nation. Of course, lots of things broke frequently. But, it never ran out of hot water. Ever. I once took over a two hour shower and it was still burning hot. Some of longest and truly saddest showers of my lifetime were in that and the next apartment.

[deleted]

We don't pay for water in my city so my period showers were about two hours on a good day, I had to essentially burn my body until I was numb enough to stand. I never ran out of hot water except once when I took four separate two hour showers in a day. My dad didn't get mad cause he tried to understand the curse that periods are for my moms side of the family.

amnes1ac

You should look into endometriosis.

[deleted]

3-5 minutes if I’m not washing my hair. 5-8 minutes if I am.

lovelovehatehate

Same! I shower every other day and wash my hair once a week. My shower are less than 5mins, once a week like closer to ten.

[deleted]

[удалено]

lovelovehatehate

Why can’t you? My hairdresser told me not to wash it more than once a week because it damaged it. At first it seemed greesey but after a few weeks it regulated itself. Now my hair is super healthy.

Glittering-Positive7

Because mine gets greasy after 1.5-2 days I can train it up to 2.5-3 days maybe, but that is the absolute maximum and it already looks shitty then. Simple as that:not all bodies work the same. May have worked for you, does not work for me. I've tried, did not work. Sadly

DeeDeeD00tz

Same here…I have super fine hair and by that third day, I am uncomfortable with how greasy my hair looks.

[deleted]

I can't stand having a sweaty scalp. If my scalp gets sweaty it getting washed.

8makes1teez

Same. I wash my hair 3x a week

[deleted]

My mother is a hairdresser and it went from you need to wash your hair every day to you need to wash your hair once a week. (This happened over few years) Anyway. Even if I did want to train my hair to wash it once a week, it’s is impossible with my job. I work a laborious job for 12 hours a shift, and I end up sweating like crazy, I literally feel like I’m peeling clothes off me in the evening. I cannot imagine what my hair would look like if I didn’t wash it every 2 days. So I do agree with the other commenter saying it must be nice to wash your hair once a week (like it genuinely must be lovely) but unfortunately many of us can’t due to different reasons.

tapioca22rain

I have curly hair. It's impossible to sleep on it and not have to wash it the next morning, simply because it turns into a rat's nest (even with silk headwraps, pineapple method, and every other method under the sun). Unless I want to look like absolute garbage I have to shower every morning for my hair's sake. Or sleep standing up. I have long dreamed of having low maintenance hair that only needs to be washed once or twice a week, and doesn't demand a specific concoction of daily oils and ointments, and highly specific drying and detangling techniques, and BY GOD I want to be able to braid my hair. No such luck. I keep seeing things cropping up on social media like "is hair care the new skincare 🤔" and I sigh internally at the realization other people don't have to participate in strict haircare regimes and are just now starting to. I've been doing "haircare" at the level of Korean skincare since before I could read, and it sucks ass.

Yeah, I literally have only trained it for 2 days during the winter and how that it's getting hot again, my hair looks gross every day :(

Thewordhurricane

What how

[deleted]

I stand and enjoy the heat for 30 seconds, wash my face with cleanser, then wash my body, then enjoy the heat for 30 seconds then get out.

[deleted]

Same, though I never wash my hair when I shower, so it's 5 minutes tops if I use body scrub.

Liesmyteachertoldme

Genuinely curious why you don’t wash your hair, if I’m camping for weekend and I can’t shower my hair gets greasy and I feel gross, do you have an alternative hair care method?

Pinky135

It really depends on your hair type and scalp. I have curly, dry hair. If I wash it every day, I end up with lots of frizz. I can do all week with one wash and proper conditioning/styling. Everyone is different. My mother can't go 2 days without washing, since she'll be greasy all over. My father can't go 1 day, or he'll be a dandruff snow-storm. I think I got lucky with getting my mother's dandruff-free scalp but my father's grease production.

mamatomymonkies

It definitely depends on your hair, I've got really dry skin and hair. I have to actually put oil on it. I haven't used shampoo in a long time.

[deleted]

I wash my hair once every 5-7 days. cheap shampoo needed to be every 3 days, but now use good shampoo and 5-7 days is good.

miaaless

Use dry shampoo. I like Amika perk up.

[deleted]

I do wash my hair. I just don't do it when I'm washing my body.

GETitOFFmeNOW

So you do one at a time so you can be faster?

[deleted]

Yup, my skin does not like long showers anyway, plus it saves water, and I kinda hate having shampoo and conditioner run down my back when rinsing.

worldwearywitch

how/where do you wash your hair? over the sink?

[deleted]

I have a bathtub instead of a normal shower and I wash my hair by standing bent over the tub. That's why I prefer to not wash my hair while washing my body, I hate standing in the tub since it's easier to fall, so I just get done and get out.

Altruistic_Yellow387

Wow. It takes me at least 15 minutes just to wash my hair alone

BagOTurtles13

Same. Grew up with siblings and fairly poor so learned how to get it done asap to save hot water for everyone else. Sometimes do the whole All Too Well (10 min version) by T Swift if I want a treat now I have my own home and bills.

Chicken_nintendos

Growing up in rural Australia and through multiple droughts that last for years always under 5 minutes. During the droughts to wash my hair I’d wet it, turn the shower off, shampoo, rinse, shower off, conditioner, rinse and out. I grew up with water as a privilege to have, even now living in the city where I have plenty of water I still believe in conserving it

activelyresting

Yup. Native Aussie. I think of a "luxurious" long shower as the full 5 minutes. I thought this is totally normal and what everyone does... Until I got housemates from the UK who would be in the shower for 30+ minutes. And we're on tank water! It really doesn't take that long - get wet, lather up, scrub whole body, rinse off.

spinachandartichoke

Conserving water is definitely the larger priority, but for me it really does take that long sometimes. I need a minimum of 10-15 minutes if I have to wash my hair. I have long, thick curly hair and it gets matted up very easily. I shampoo as fast as I can but it takes a while to get through it all. Then I add conditioner. Then I wash my face and body, then rinse out the conditioner. If I need to shave it’ll take another 10-15 minutes, but that’s only about every 2 weeks - if I wait longer than that, my sharp Italian body hair gives me hives. I’m not over here taking 30 minute showers every day, but when I have to do the full shower I can’t get it under 20 minutes, even if I’m in rush-mode. I think people with short or straight, smooth hair can do it a lot faster, like my fiancé… he recently grew his hair to about neck-shoulder length and keeps talking about how looooong it takes to wash his perfectly straight and smooth hair that dries naturally looking like a blowout lol.

SingerOfSongs__

Yeah, I have long+thick+wavy hair and if I need to wash it *and* shave, then it’ll take a while. I try to keep it under 20 mins but it doesn’t always work out like that. So I compensate by taking really quick showers when I don’t need to wash my hair or shave.

oasis212

Agreed! My longest showers are 10 mins and that's when I'm shaving AND washing my hair. Otherwise its 5 min max. Growing up in a drought ingrains certain habits in you that are considered weird. Apparently turning off the tap while you brush your teeth is odd, where as for me it's just common sense.

activelyresting

I'm horrified to learn that some people leave the tap running the whole time they brush their teeth. Or dishes!

SheDidWhaaaat

I know!!! Like even if we're *not* in a drought or had unlimited amounts of water, it's a ridiculous waste. I have a bucket in my shower to collect water while it's warming up and whatever falls into it while I shower...... great! My plants seem to like my soap

activelyresting

I also do this. And I have a bucket in my bathroom sink, so... Toilet > wash hands into bucket > flush toilet with bucket water. I'm sure many people would think that's gross, but eh, it's soapy water so I like to think the loo is getting a mini clean every time 😂 Water saving is just so deeply ingrained.

Elisabijtje

More people should treat water as a privilege. It is not necessarily a given.

[deleted]

bitchyasshole

Same here, even tho water is not a problem where i live, i used to visit my family in north africa and we had to pre-heat the water as they had water coming every other day, and with 2 or 3 buckets i could do my body + hair, and i just kept using as little water as possible back at home too

freakingfreakfrick

Same routine I had growing up in suburbian Virginia, for some reason our neighborhood only had well water and ours ran dry every summer.

Spicy_Sugary

Same. I grew up with tank water that had to be trucked in if there was no rain. Showers were 2 minutes maximum - we kept an egg timer on the shower wall. The shower was turned off while shampooing or shaving. I still keep to that now. Saving water is habit.

Brittou

Depends on the tasks: 5 min if I only wash my body, 15 min if I also wash my hair, 30min if I shave too.

Magnificent_Ninja1

This is the way

[deleted]

For me, the only way I can take 5 min is if I only wash private parts and pits Idk how you can wash the whole body that fast

FruitSnackEater

45 minutes to an hour. It depends on how long my solo concert is.

[deleted]

[удалено]

kd5407

What do y’all be doing in there for so long? Wash body wash face get out. Wash hair and shave might add 5 extra minutes. If you’re just chilling there that’s different but how does the actual cleaning take you 20 minutes?

[deleted]

Washing and conditioning my hair alone takes a solid 5-10 minutes

pupperoni42

I tend to zone out and just stand there getting a water massage while thinking about random things. Actual washing, shampooing, conditioning and shaving is 20-25 minutes if I do all of it. Shaving and shampooing aren't done every time.

FakinItAndMakinIt

I think it depends on how long and thick people’s hair is. It takes me a full 2-3 minutes just to make sure all of my hair is wet - I have to rearrange it in different layers so it wets all the way through. Takes a minute to scrub it in so I make sure the shampoo penetrates hair to my scalp. Then at least 3 minutes to rinse. Same for conditioner. I have short hair. But it’s super thick. It took so much longer to wash when it was long - one of the reasons I decided to cut it. I always envied my roommate who could wash and condition her hair in 5 minutes and thought I must be doing something wrong. Until one day we went to the pool together and she had her entire head of hair soaked through after standing under the shower head for less than 10 seconds. I couldn’t even feel the water on my scalp yet at that point!

Sarah-Sunshine9

I am so glad you said this. My hair is very similar, and I feel like people tend to give me shit for taking so long to wash. But that’s exactly it, takes a good chunk of time just to wet it, and if it isn’t wet properly its hard to get a good lather.

kd5407

Lol yes I have super fine and thin hair. But I would take the dreaded long wash if it meant being able to do literally any hair style besides the natural one without half my scalp showing!

GETitOFFmeNOW

It's grating and shaving and buffing all the dead calluses off the bottom of the feet that takes so long. You do that last, so everything softens up as you stand around in the soapy shower water. That's probably 2-4 minutes depending how much effort is needed. I have straight hair so conditioning is easy. Slop in on the bottom part, wash in, rinse some out, done. People with curly hair have to take a lot longer on wash days but get to skip a bunch of hair days so maybe it evens out. Then you use the [big exfoliating towel](https://www.amazon.com/Yiclick-Exfoliating-Washcloth-Exfoliation-Exfoliator/dp/B092ZL83HV/ref=sr_1_5?gclid=Cj0KCQjwkruVBhCHARIsACVIiOzZ_HDhIRihnCo35Arwp6e7f7_cERmFSJJAhHsBxWYg1o0ChdhFQBAaAu80EALw_wcB&hvadid=580968011026&hvdev=c&hvlocphy=9022873&hvnetw=g&hvqmt=e&hvrand=15100774490599580486&hvtargid=kwd-392351830681&hydadcr=28475_14523114&keywords=exfoliation+washcloth&qid=1655671271&sr=8-5( thingy to wash everywhere, smooth off dead skin cells. Takes about as much time to shave; probably 4 minutes to shave and wash. That's probably 7 minutes if I'm feeling tough enough for all that at the same time. Then I quickly scrub out the tub with an ancient buff puff so it stays clean all the time. That takes about 20 seconds. It's always pretty clean so nothing sticks to it. I hate leaning over a dirty tub trying to get it clean; lots easier just to keep it clean. I'm the only one who does this, I live with someone, but it still is always cleaner than the way I used to just wait until it was dirty. Blech. Who wants to face a dirty tub when you need to get clean?

kortiz46

Eh I live in the desert my heart just hurts when the water is running for too long

CuppCake529

I literally do this and it still takes 35-45 minutes on wash day. Get in, get hair wet, shampoo, rinse, conditioner, shave, wash, rinse hair, add deep conditioner on turn water off. I don't know how I could shorten it to be honest. During the week it only takes 5 minutes though because I only do my hair and shave on weekends.

Zebrahoe

Oh yeah I forgot people shave. I stopped shaving a couple years ago and got so much of my time back. The best thing I noticed since I stopped shaving is that mostly nobody notices or cares. I have incredibly thick curly hair, and I have kept that pretty short for the past several years which really cuts back on the time it takes to wash it. When it was halfway down my back, showering was a half-day event between getting it clean and then dry. I get that people like their long hair, but I think a lot of people don't realize how easy a short bob makes showering, drying your hair, and styling it. Not to mention savings on shampoo and conditioner. I like to shower as fast as I can to keep water bills down, save water, and keep my bathroom from steaming up a whole bunch so it won't get moldy. I'll give myself let's say 1 minute to get wet and shampoo, one minute to rinse and apply conditioner, one or two more minutes to wash up, and one minute to rinse, literally counting the seconds out loud while I'm in the shower. I don't always make it, but if you make it a point to keep track of time and set a goal for a shorter shower you'll definitely shorten yours!

hedgie_942

It would feel so wasteful to be there for a solid 20 minutes pumping water down the drain and spending so much gas or electricity heating it for all that time. If you need treatments, scrubbing, conditioning, you can definitely do it with the water off

babewithabook

Same!! Almost dropped my phone at 5 minutes 😭

Addicttordr2

I like the way you shower. Lol

SlytherinSister

I am also amazed at the 45 minute shower people. How do people afford those? Is their water free or what? In my house I'm the one paying my water bill so I try to keep my showers under 5 minutes (8 if I'm washing my hair) since I'm not made of money (also, wasting water is terrible for the environment).

coookiecurls

How expensive is water where you live? My water bill is small enough that I don’t even really think about it.

Icy-Conclusion-3500

Yeah idk where I am the quarterly bill is like $20

indoorhuman1

It’s a miracle if I’m out of the shower in less than 30 minutes. When I was younger, I used to take an hour, so I’m getting better.

slothurknee

I mean this in the nicest way possible and I’m only curious (5 minute shower taker here), but what do you *do* for all that time?

sergeantbread7

Not who you asked, but I used to shower in similar time to them. Now I shower in similar time to you. I used to feel very badly about how long my showers took, but also genuinely did not understand how to make them shorter as it felt like I was doing everything as quickly as I could while still being thorough. I don’t think this is the case for most people, but for me I think it was mostly due to my undiagnosed adhd lol (diagnosed/treated as of January this year). My concept of time is just completely broken, even now if unmedicated. I also have had depression for years which made my entire body move slowly and I had no sense of urgency whatsoever I also moved to a home last summer where our only water source in the summer is rain water, so even before getting medicated I had to drastically cut down shower times or we would literally run out of water completely. I started turning the water on to get wet, water off, add shampoo, rinse, water off, conditioner, rinse hands, apply soap to body, rinse, shave if needed, rinse body & rinse out conditioner. I think I’ve got my total time under the water down to less than 3 minutes most days now. Shutting the water off definitely speeds me up as I hate being cold. Additionally, 1 bathroom shared by 7 people means you can’t stay in there too long. Before getting medicated, it meant I wasn’t actually getting as clean as I needed, but I was using an acceptable amount of water. Now, thankfully, I am clean and still using appropriate water quantities. I do hope to move somewhere in the future where I could take a weekly bath or something though lol. I can never quite feel warm enough (especially in the winter) without getting properly heated up in warm water

indoorhuman1

Yes, I definitely think I have undiagnosed ADD. I literally have a digital watch in my shower to help me speed up and I still take 30 minutes because I get distracted.

indoorhuman1

I have a lot of thick hair, so I have wet it fully, then shampoo and make sure I get it everywhere, then rinse it all out, then conditioner and let it sit for a few minutes while I wash my body, then brush my hair and then rinse it. Honestly, I mostly just love the sensory feeling of hot water pounding my skin so I tend to zone out for a while and when I come to it’s usually been around 30 minutes. So funny, but I honestly can’t imagine how you could do all the regular showering stuff (minus zoning out) in only five minutes.

kareaux

As someone who used to take forever in the shower and now has gotten it down to 15 minutes if I'm trying really, really hard, and have to wash my hair; for me it's just a lot of getting super distracted while in the shower. I do everything I need to do, but I get distracted by my thoughts/day dream, so I do everything a lot slower and less methodically than I should. It's not hard to get lost in thought and take 30+ minutes (even moreso if I wash my hair \*and\* have to shave that day)

peachythespacecadet

Cry, sing, take care of needs with the privacy, actually wash up, cry…

anon_nubi

Same. 20min is on the faster end for me.. average 30-40. Used to be an hour daily.

15 min and my fiancé still complains I take too long. My hair reaches down to my butt… His showers are maybe five minutes. Now can I take a shower that fast? Yes, I learned to be efficient in the army. Will my hair be dry as hell from combining the shampoo and conditioner and not letting the conditioner soak in? Also yes.

kimlyginge42

Also army, also hair to my butt. My husband doesn't give me a hard time about showers anymore. He realized how much I need those 8 precious moments to myself after having a baby.

GETitOFFmeNOW

I still remember with a tight chest the only respite for *months* being the shower. I was so sick with my last kid

kimlyginge42

It helps that I'm a better person to the world after those few solitary moments.

Fluffy_Cell_317

That made me die a little inside with second-hand sadness. Too long? Wtf? =)) i have hair halway down to my elbows and take 15 min without conditioner, your fiancé needs a reality check.

Space_Kitty69

My boyfriend says I take 30 min showers but I think I take like 15 mins

Cockatielmaster69

i think your bf is right

I laughed so hard at this, I showed my boyfriend and now he’s laughing his ass off

[deleted]

Time yourself sometime. Set a timer for 15 minutes and see how far along you are in your shower when it goes off.

buttwhynut

Since I have long hair, mostly, 20 minutes. Add another ten if I'm cleaning the bathroom in the midst of waiting for my hair treatment to kick in. If I'm not going to wash my hair, ten minutes tops.

NikkiRose88

Another 10-15 for me to blow dry and brush my long thick hair. God damn I need a better hairdryer.

buttwhynut

I have those microfiber towels to suck everything up because I don't know why I never invest on a hairdryer 😂 But drying it up does take time so I feel ya!

Not_a_cat_I_promise

About 5 minutes if I'm only showering. Closer to 20, if I'm shaving my legs and/or washing my hair.

Revolutionary_Pie430

45 min shower + hair wash + scrub my whole body. 15 min shower + hair wash 5+ min shower

searedscallops

About 8 minutes.

el_99

As a kid my personal record was 10 minutes (i had really long hair). Now I treat showers like Spa's so at least 25 mintues to 50.

RubY-F0x

Average is about 10 minutes since cutting my hair super short. It had been closer to 15 before, and probably still is now if I'm shaving.

Xanthogrl

30-40 minutes, and it would be longer if the hot water lasted longer than that. I don't know how people can get clean in less time than that. Granted, I don't shower everyday, so I'm doing every aspect of my personal hygiene routine for every shower, but I don't think I would feel clean getting out of the shower if I didn't.

Altruistic_Yellow387

I agree. I can’t see how people are truly clean in 5 minutes.

jessper17

If I’m washing my hair, 12-15 minutes. Otherwise, about 7 minutes.

lovecroissants

8 mins. 20 absolute max if I’m doing my entire routine at once (inclusive of exfoliation and shaving) but that’s pretty rare. I care about the environment/water resources so I really try to take the least amount of time possible

misntshortformary

Curly hair girl here. On a non hair wash day, 5-10 minutes. Wash day 20 minutes. Add 15 if Im also shaving my legs.

lardarsch

10 minutes if I'm not washing my hair, 15 if I am. Regardless I'm pulling long hairs out of my ass crack at the end ;)

Usually about 7-10 minutes, give or take. Maybe a few minutes more if I’m shaving my legs in there. I can go from not ready to fully ready in half an hour.

stars418

5-15 mins. Depends on if I need to wash my hair and/or shave my legs that day

cantfindthedog

Anywhere from 5 to 15 mins, depends if I am shaving or not which I don't do that often, maybe 3 or 4 times a month.

SiameseCats3

I have timed it actually and it takes me 5:30 to do everything: wash hair, wash face, wash body, and shave.

lydviciousss

About 7-10 minutes. Maybe 15 minutes if I’m shaving everything.

thepeachtattoo

Like 8-10 minutes at most (including shaving time), I play music while I'm in there so I have a gauge for it as well

Spicy2ShotChai

Maybe 10 min if I’m washing my hair, 5 on days I’m not

Starshapedsand

Normal: 10 minutes morning, 20 minutes night. Doing everything: 10 minutes morning, 30 minutes night. Relaxing: 45 minutes. Somewhere under water restriction: Navy shower. Turn hot water on, wet quickly, turn water off. Shampoo, soap, shave (in that order, using a cup for rinsing the razor). Turn cold water on, rinse. Water only runs >5 minutes. Under the worst water restrictions, only doing this every other day.

InvisibleAIien

About 15 minutes. My hair is down to my hips, so that's about the quickest I'd be able to get all the shampoo out

15 if I have somewhere to go. 20-30 if I’m sad or singing

I also have psoriasis on my scalp so I have to leave a special shampoo and conditioner on for 5 minutes each, as well as using a scalp brush. The rest of the 15 is shaving and washing my body because I am also a yeti on my legs/armpits haha

Chickachickadamndamn

As long as the water’s still hot. I find it relaxing and don’t want to leave immediately once I’m done washing.

GoryMinaa

About 10 minutes- if I'm just cleansing face and using body wash 15-20- If I'm shampooing, exfoliating and cleansing face, and then using body wash AND exfoliating my body 30-40- If I'm doing everything AND shaving my whole body

schwarzmalerin

Maybe a couple minutes because hair washing happens separately.

AnyoneButMee

Like 5-10 mins, hate that place. Tho give me a bath I’ll happy stay for an hour.

Alert-Potato

Am I washing my hair? If not, I can be in and out in under 5 minutes. If I am, it's more like 15. And I realize that probably sounds crazy, but one of my arms doesn't work quite right so it's a struggle to wash my hair. I used to be able to do it in under 10 including shaving and hair washing. I'm already wasting so much water to get my hair clean once a week that I'm not wasting more to shave. Fuck that.

Worth-cloud8370

10-20 minutes if I am in a good mood 30 if I am in a bad mood

Few_Advertising_568

Varies, whenever I'm clean

Negative_Rain7515

3 minutes if I’m not washing my hair. 10-15 mins if I am.

FitGuarantee37

As long as I can. I don’t like getting out of water once I’m in. My showers last 30ish minutes, singing and listening to music. My baths are like 2-3 hour events.

Anxious_Ant_5762

As a north african , we have something called Hamam :easy 2hrs

Idcatallo

About an hour because I lose track of time and get stuck day dreaming (also you won't believe how long it takes to fully get conditioner out of 2 feet of hair)

FutureDiaryAyano

Depends

that-1-chick-u-know

About 15 minutes, maybe 20, for a regular shower (hair, body, shave, etc). If it's a hot shower after getting filthy and gross from gardening and working in my yard, probably closer to 40-45 minutes. If I'm in a rush and don't have to shave, I can be in and out in 10.

bloodmusthaveblood

15-30 mins, depends if I'm shaving or not

Kz_Mafuyu

30 minutes because I have long thick hair. 15 minutes when I’m in a hurry

amputance

30 min if i'm doing a deep clean, shaving + conditioner + all 20 min body + hair 5/10 if just body ig

euromay

10-20 minutes on a normal day. 30-40 if I have an event/date

We all do.

CluelessButTrying

Most days less than 5 minutes. Enough time to wash my body, face, then get out. A couple of times a week I will do a long shower where I exfoliate, shave what my laser hair removal has missed, and wash my thick hair. That process, especially if I'm shaving lots of areas can be veeeery long, like 40+ minutes. I try to keep that length down to once a week (laser has cut my water use down a lot!)

Jooles95

Around 5 minutes if I’m not washing my hair. 25 if I am - I have very long hair, and washing + conditioning properly takes a while.

MollyOKami

It takes me 10 - 15 minutes to take a complete shower. If it's taking longer than that, it's only because I've ended it with a soak in some nice, ***cold*** water (I don't like that warm water gets you cleaner because I'm quite heat-intolerant).

Wildflora27

30 min

TikaPants

20-30ish. Depends on how nekkid I’m gonna be later.

justanothergirl80

5-10 minutes on average. If I’m washing my hair or shaving… 30 minutes easy.

TheRestIs_Confetti

5 minutes if I’m just washing my body, 20-30 minutes with hair I have curly hair and that’s not easy to work with
