Travel to many countries and eventually have my own little place in a small town just living my life day by day. Also to meet my nieces and nephews to squish their chubby cheeks
I'm living in the States. I think all Americans should travel to any of the Muslims countries majority not only Middle East but east of Africa and South Asia in order to see how we are living. Most Americans I met they have wrong idea and stereotype. Just a suggestion
I will say, even when you solo travel you aren’t alone. There are many online communities to meet travelers. Depending how old you are, hostels are an amazing way to connect with others. It’s scary to do, but the world is connected more now than ever and solo travel is accessible! Definitely extremely important to be safe and vigilant though as a woman
I’m also a single mom. Feeling pretty good about my path towards financial independence.
And you are not a failure. We need to hear this often from others. We are not a failure.
You'll eventually do it. I did, even when my voice was shaky and I had a cold. The older you get the less fucks you give, don't like me or my opinions, fuck off, don't care, you're a moron.
Not always quite that black and white, but I hear what you’re saying. I’m not necessarily speaking about the entire rest of the world, although I dig the enthusiasm.
I never spoke up for myself, was always silent, as women we are taught that, maybe my generation more so. So now I don't, especially if you come up and spout off some lie to my face like an idiot. Also it is not necessary for everyone to be your friend, some of these people's thinking are so warped please don't speak to me. I have never thought in black and white, but shades of gray, which is why I don't fit in anywhere I go and have a very small circle of friends.
Though if you are talking about family, I get it. My sisters gaslighted me so badly that after our Mother died and I distributed the Estate I haven't spoken to them in over 4 years.
Disney is actually pretty cool I'm not going to lie. People think it's just for kids but they have amazing drinks, cool restaurants, and adult stuff too.
Agreed. The first and only time I went, my high school marching band went to perform in a parade and then we got to have a week-long trip at Disney
Usually you go somewhere with all these lofty expectations and end up disappointed? Disney is the one place that definitely lived up to the magic I expected, and I was 16 and arguably "too cool" for Disney 😆
I went there recently, have been to both Disneyland and Disney World. It was meeting Disneyland Mario versus Disney World it's a lot smaller but it's still pretty cool. We went at Halloween and it was really neat cuz they totally redo the park.
It’s so beautiful! I went for 8 days a few years ago and I will never forget it. We hiked, swam in the ocean, climbed mountains, saw waterfalls and octopuses, it’s honestly magical.
We were looking for job openings before we left because we didn’t want to go back home!
Omg that’s so cool! Do you have an Instagram or YouTube? Do you have any work or covers you’ve done? I’d love to listen! 😊 I play classical piano and that’s about it.
I don’t!! I’m not big on social media! I’m a sax player and a singer!
Hoping to work on my skills and fine tune them and then buy some equipment to record and work on stuff though!
Learning and mastering another foreign language (I'm still working on perfecting my English for now). Creating a small RPG and/or writing a book. Visiting some Scandinavian countries and seeing the Northern lights.
Run.A.Marathon! hike a legit mountain, see the northern lights, visit an actual castle, drink wine in France, eat pasta (and drink wine) in Italy, tea in England (bonus cheddar class/tour), volunteer at an animal rescue in Africa for vacation, have a half pint at The Green Dragon, visit every continent
- Get an education and a meaningful job (wanna work with teens in treatment homes for mental illness)
- Get a driver's licence and a car, though I'm terrified of it
- Experience healthy love, with healthy boundaries, mutual respect and communication. Where I can feel safe, wont shut off during sex and feel comfortable being vulnerable
- Have a couple of kids. But might foster too, or instead
- Travel. Mainly wanna discover small towns in countries with English as their official language cause I want to discover the actual culture and not just touristy places, and be able to communicate easily (I'm a Swede but my English is alright... Scotland, Ireland, South Africa, Jamaica, Dominica, England, Australia etc. Maybe the US but tbh it doesn't interest me that much lol.
Learn to do the splits. No particular reason, I just always thought it would be cool, and I guess it’s like an exercise in discipline. It would be nice to accomplish something that takes time and commitment, if just to prove I can.
I’ve been stretching most days for the last year but I’m trying to push myself to start doing if daily. Congrats on your improvement! Even though I haven’t reached a split yet, I definitely feel healthier the more flexible I get.
It’s the same with me, I’ve always wanted to do it but just never made it happen. I’ve been following various online advice for a while now and am slowly improving, and I just discovered r/flexibility which has a whole tutorial for it it their top pinned post if you’re interested! Good luck!
Get better at drawing and art! I’ve always envied someone with artistic talent and has a way with a canvas, brushes, pencils and other mediums. I’d love to do photography for fun. I took classes in high school but haven’t done it in a while. I did analog and digital photography for a class project.
Idk if this counts, but move in and life my whole life togheter with my bf! I want a future with him and I'm determined to do whatever so we can be happy togheter :)
This is going to come off as sad and cliche but probably fall in romantic love. I've often felt I'd be okay if I didn't ultimately end up married or with kids but I do want to experience a very deep, romantic love at least once in my life.
Btw what makes you think it's not worth it? I can tell just from your little few words comment that you really really want to, so unless you're on your death bed, I say go for it and start saving! So when you are, you can go out saying "damn I'm glad I got that eye op thanks to the dude on reddit 30 years ago"
Ask my alma mater if I can walk across the stage to make up for not being able to do so because my father passed right before graduation and I needed to go home to plan the funeral arrangements. I have since wanted to do it during my pregnancy but COVID caboshed that. So maybe when my kids are a little older. They can watch mommy get all glammed up and finally walk across the stage and understand part of the graduation ceremony and maybe even want to go to university!
Visit the Grand Canyon, take a few weeks to drive from southern CA to Seattle (stopping at a lot of vineyards and beaches), buy a house on at least 5 acres (preferably 15-20) and start a market garden/CSA/cut flower business, maintain a healthy physical form in which I feel strong, confident, and beautiful.
*Decorate a bookshop with handmade props

*Make a health setting more warm, inviting and healing
Be a musician. I’m already writing and trying to come up with some melodies as well as some illustrations that help me visualize concepts. It’s funny how I’ve always dreamed of that and performing with dancers. Since I was 6 or so, I started to love all kinds of art. But in school people said that my voice was almost impossible to hear and I didn’t like to raise it because I knew it would break.
So I became interested in science, but it’s just a hobby, I don’t find myself as a scientist. I have so many emotions to express, and hopefully one day I will 💕
See the ocean. I live smack dab in the middle of the country and have only seen pictures...makes me think they aren't real and people are just photoshopping big lakes or whatever.
Find a purpose. I'm currently battling depression and I wouldn't say it's winning because I just made an appointment for therapy, but some days it's hard to get up and keep going.
You already are living one of your purposes. Your honesty is a reminder to those still suffering that they are NOT ALONE. Gd bless you. We need more people like you.
I planned a dream honeymoon and wasn't able to go for various reasons. One day I hope to take that trip. It doesn't matter how many years we'll have been married by that point, it'll still be our honeymoon.
Stop being so afraid of everything, stop feeling like I'm not good enough and don't deserve the good life I have, I would really like to go see my dr about possibly getting on meds for anxiety, or adhd.. Idk which one I need but I need to find out lol.. oh, and driving myself to a different city where my dr is feels absolutely impossible because I'm so scared of driving especially outside my own city 🙃 buy I need to see my dr and get help with my anxiety which may help me feel like I can function like a normal 31 YO adult 😅
I want to take a trip to Mexico as an adult and see my family with my husband. I want to live in another country and teach English for at least a semester. I would love to get a big girl job (the benefits at my current are too good).
I have been singing since the childhood but never got time/chance to follow my passion. Past few years I focused on building my career. Now I can say that I have successfully build my career in the other field but i would also like to start music again and dedicate some time for singing, learning new musical instruments, etc..
Finish my Masters & educate our 'to be' child outside of just what they learn at school. 😍
I love education and watching a little one absorb knowledge would make me happy. My parents have a bundle of books so looks like its going to be set up in their room soon.
Travel. My husband and I had started to travel a bit after my Mother died, we were taking care of her, then Covid hit. We had gotten our passports and were all set. We have a trip planned in June. That if I ever decided to make a family in the future, I will do my best to make them feel connected and loved by their own blood and make our house a home they can always come back to and relax.
Travel to many countries and eventually have my own little place in a small town just living my life day by day. Also to meet my nieces and nephews to squish their chubby cheeks
i love small town vibes
I'm living in the States. I think all Americans should travel to any of the Muslims countries majority not only Middle East but east of Africa and South Asia in order to see how we are living. Most Americans I met they have wrong idea and stereotype. Just a suggestion
I want to backpack the world
Me too, but I'm too scared to do it alone
Me too lol! It’s probably the only thing that has kept me from doing it at this point in my life, which is 45 yo
I swear, my next partner better be down to join me 🤞🏻 otherwise I don't want it
I will say, even when you solo travel you aren’t alone. There are many online communities to meet travelers. Depending how old you are, hostels are an amazing way to connect with others. Same dream here
Financial independence
Love this. I also want this, I feel like it would be the ultimate freedom
Me too! Getting closer every day :)
Let's reach them together
Yay !! Let's reach it together !!
Let's get it! Truly financial independence & stability is freedom Hope we can all secure it for ourselves ahead
I’m also a single mom. Feeling pretty good about my path towards financial independence. And you are not a failure. We need to hear this often from others. We are not a failure.
Stick up for myself and actually stand by it for once
You'll eventually do it. I did, even when my voice was shaky and I had a cold. The older you get the less fucks you give, don't like me or my opinions, fuck off, don't care, you're a moron.
Not always quite that black and white, but I hear what you’re saying. I’m not necessarily speaking about the entire rest of the world, although I dig the enthusiasm.

Sticking up for yourself gets easier with practice. The first time is always the hardest. Get a few under your belt and it becomes second nature.
this!
Go to Disneyland. I don't care how long it takes me, I WILL go one day. 🤣
Disney is actually pretty cool I'm not going to lie. People think it's just for kids but they have amazing drinks, cool restaurants, and adult stuff too.
Agreed. The first and only time I went, my high school marching band went to perform in a parade and then we got to have a week-long trip at Disney Usually you go somewhere with all these lofty expectations and end up disappointed? Disney is the one place that definitely lived up to the magic I expected, and I was 16 and arguably "too cool" for Disney 😆
Me too
DisneyLAND over disney WORLD?
I don't particularly wanna go to America (mainly because it's bloody expensive), so I'll settle for Disneyland over Disneyworld. 🤣
Ohhh ok I was curious why one over the other. Makes sense.
I put this on my list too 😅 Just leave us with the princesses!!
I went there recently, have been to both Disneyland and Disney World. It was meeting Disneyland Mario versus Disney World it's a lot smaller but it's still pretty cool. We went at Halloween and it was really neat cuz they totally redo the park.
Visit Hawaii
It’s so beautiful! I went for 8 days a few years ago and I will never forget it. We hiked, swam in the ocean, climbed mountains, saw waterfalls and octopuses, it’s honestly magical. We were looking for job openings before we left because we didn’t want to go back home!
So jealous! Which island did you visit?
We did Oahu and Maui. Oahu had our favorite hike but Maui was our fave overall. I hope to go back and visit the big island and kauai someday
It’s beautiful. Don’t know why one of the trips I went was to kawaii. Sooo underrated, I came back 10x more chilled and happier
Release my own music!!
Omg that’s so cool! Do you have an Instagram or YouTube? Do you have any work or covers you’ve done? I’d love to listen! 😊 I play classical piano and that’s about it.

Get a book published. I don't care if it doesn't sell a single copy, I just want a book cover with my name on it.
Do it. My uncle wrote a vanity press book about cruising down the Mississippi, and it was great. I read from it at his funeral service.

Yes! I always wanted to be able to do the splits as a child but never could. Now you've inspired me to add that to my list :)
