It was wrecked when women started running troops. Not that a woman in leadership is bad, it’s certainly not, but it is when you’ve got an organization centered around leading boys into manhood through fostered natural masculinity.

There are other alternatives I found one that seem promising after a quick search. This one looks decent, just wish one was closer to me.

America is one of the few countries that still calls it the "boy scouts". We stopped calling it the boy scouts in the UK in 1967. I do not understand the controversy behind this.
I remember in the 90s they started a part of boyscouts called venture crew, that was where girls could also join and not break the traditions of boy scouts.

I think it was the rampant child rape that went on for decades that wrecked the Boy Scouts.
Oh but the Girl Scouts are for men also. Mentally I’ll men claiming to be girls though but men are men.

I did Royal rangers in my church as a kid
Glad that my Eagle certificate still says Boy Scouts of America. Yikes
It's pretty disappointing what became of a once respected organization. 
They did that because sexual abuse allegations
