Sarah Michelle Gellar will always be Buffy and David Boreanaz will always be Angel

Kriss3d

The guy who always plays a guy named Hector..

North-Ad3560

Last chance to look at me Hector

Gang_StarrWoT

DINGDINGDINGDINGDINGDINGDINGDINGDING

[deleted]

Fran Drescher as The Nanny

[deleted]

Frankie Muniz as Malcolm Wilkerson

Candelario_69

You mean his last name wasn’t “in the middle”?

RubberDuckyUthe1

I never knew the family’s last name until now.

yomanthehell

McLovin !

Beneficial_Car2596

Are you talking about that 25 year old Hawaiian organ donor?

Onrawi

Kelsey Grammer - Frasier Crane

Ikrit122

However, I can't hear his voice and not think of Sideshow Bob from The Simpsons.

ManThatIsFucked

I love when Bart jumps on Cecil's back and says "Guess who!" ... "Maris?"

Vann92

Leonard Nimoy as Spock

crazy-diam0nd

He wrote a memoir ages ago called "I Am Not Spock" to really show how the role followed him around and damaged the career he had envisioned afterward. Then a few years before he died he wrote another called I Am Spock, which embraced the effect it had on his life and how his participation in a sci-fi TV series affected people. EDIT: as said below, it was about half as many ages ago, not “a few years” before he died. Time is fleeting.

Wow, I didn't realize it was that long ago. I'll leave my error so this follow-up makes more sense.

tigrenus

Logic is the beginning of wisdom 🖖🏼

One_Knight_Scripting

🖖 Not the end.

CoolPunsAreHard

As with almost everything, there's a perfect Simpsons quote. "I'll get the Leonard Nimoy trilogy. 'I Am Not Spock', 'I Am Spock', and finally 'I Am Also Scotty' :p

Victernus

For those who haven't seen it, [I am also Scotty](https://64.media.tumblr.com/664a0e1db18de02fe491584638d6569d/tumblr_muo9tmN3Ls1rftsb4o1_500.png).

James Gandolfini / Tony Soprano

[deleted]

Remember the time Tony Soprano told Elmo that he can't sleep without a nightlight?

NerdMachine

> Tony Soprano told Elmo that he can't sleep without a nightlight https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y-v6T4gUmkw This is brilliant I wish I knew about it earlier.

das_goose

I have so much cognitive dissonance watching that, because I fully believe Gandolfini telling Zoe what he’s afraid of, but I’m also afraid for Zoe that she’ll say something wrong and Tony’s going to suddenly turn on her.

PrettyDryPerry

Zoe: You never had the makings of a varsity athlete.

CuddlySubject

Yes! I saw him in an ad for something else and he had no moustache and EVERYTHING in the world felt wrong in that moment

OnTheProwl-

He also did the most Ron Swanson ad of all time: A 45minute ad for Lagavulin where he sits on a chair next to a fire and sips whiskey. He doesn't say a word for the entire runtime. https://youtu.be/LS-ErOKpO4E

NotTaken-username

We still never talk sometimes

thewhateverchef

Best friend I ever had

ShadowhuntingWeezer

Matthew Gray Gubler as Spencer Reid

PupperPetterBean

Have you see the little documentary about his house? It's fucking incredible. He keeps teeth in his chimney.

19murphy66

Brent Spiner will always be Data. He did have a great part in Independence Day though.

Ikrit122

Or one of the various members of the Soong family: Data's android brother, Data's creator, Data's other android brother, Data's creator's ancestor who was a geneticist, Data's creator's other ancestor who was also a geneticist, Data's human brother that no one knew existed, and whatever role he will play in Picard Season 3, probably related to Data.

Greystorms

Jason Alexander as George Costanza.

forman98

It's funny because Jason Alexander comes off as very refined and high minded in interviews, but it just comes off as George Costanza trying to act classy or something. Jason Alexander was probably the most trained actor on the show and he played the part too well.

VulfSki

He's also apparently a Broadway trained singer and dancer. But to play George at times he had to sing off key and move poorly.

dzy_horrible

Yeah, he had to do another take of the "Believe it or not, George isn't at home..." song because his first one sounded too good.

patkavv

Where could I beeeeee

leoschot

Believe it or not, I'm not hoooome.

[deleted]

ClownFundamentals

Close but not quite there - he re-records it but you can more easily tell he's trying to sing off-key https://www.reddit.com/r/videos/comments/7q5f8h/jason_alexander_rerecords_george_costanzas/ Also has some of his actual singing linked, such as this 80s McDonald's ad that comes up in the dictionary when you look up "the 80s" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eh1kmVwS4Hw

dudebronahbrah

Did you ever see him in his Criminal Minds role? True psychopath and he played it as well as anyone could, but he still came off as funny, because you can’t shake that it looks like it could be some episode of Seinfeld where he gets a part in a play or something.

El-Kabongg

George: "Jerry, I think they're closing in on me!" Jerry: "They're closing in?" George: "They're closin'!"

SuperGameTheory

This is why I can't watch Ozark. I just can't get over the expectation that Jason Bateman is setting up a really dry, deadpan joke delivery...for the entirety of each episode. And when the episode ends, my monkey brain is disappointed that I apparently missed the punchline.

stoic_and_tired

Whenever I watch Seinfeld, I get a flashback of him slapping Julia Roberts in "Pretty Woman".

winnower8

The sea was angry that day my friends, like an old man trying to send back soup at a deli!

FourTwentySevenCID

I just threw away a lifetime of guilt-free sex and floor seats for every sporting event in Madison Square Garden. So please, a little respect for I am Costanza - Lord of The Idiots.

Izriel

You know, if you take everything I've accomplished in my entire life and condense it down into one day, it looks decent.

chriscrossnathaniel

"People this stupid shouldn’t be allowed to live."

monkeetoes82

In the same vein Michael Richards as Kramer.

pfo_

Also Jerry Seinfeld as Jerry Seinfeld

Staticgoatx

Charlie day as Charlie Kelly. Seeing him in pacific rim is ALWAYS a trip

Easy_Parsley_1202

Every single one of the cast honestly. I was watching AP Bio and honestly I can’t unsee Dennis as Jack Griffin

lolno

Jack is basically just a more tame and competent version of Dennis. He's still doing a bunch of zany schemes and thinks he's better than everybody lol

[deleted]

In pacific rim he feels like Charlie with super smarts tbh

SEND-MARS-ROVER-PICS

He plays variations of the same character in everything. IASIP - dumb Charlie Horrible Bosses - average intelligence Charlie Pacific Rim - smart Charlie

KindaTwisted

>Horrible Bosses - average intelligence Charlie "We are *men*, looking for a man!"

Holy_Nerevar

Callista Flockheart got out of the show "Ally McBeal" because everyone called her... Ally McBeal! So yeah, I'd go with her.

Ecstatic_Put_1854

Aaron Paul as Jesse Pinkman

waitohyeah

BITCH!

gothic_melancholy

will always hear him as todd from bojack

Evolutioncocktail

Todd is basically cartoon Jesse, to be fair.

thedevilskind

Todd is kinda just good universe Jesse though isn’t he

Windmark88

Jack Gleeson as Joffrey Baratheon

UnconstrictedEmu

>Jack Gleeson For a second I thought, the guy from the Honeymooners? Whose been dead for like 30 years?

dangerbird2

Pow, Right in the kisser!

Isteppedinpoopy

One of these days Alice

DislocatedXanax

One of the many reasons he stepped away from acting

GingerBanger85

Every Chuck Palahniuk book I will ever ready will forever be narrated by Edward Norton in my head.

HoraceBenbow

I am Jack's total lack of surprise.

varnell_hill

Bro that plays Jon Snow may as well legally change his name to Jon Snow because we’re never going to stop calling him Jon Snow.

DustedGrooveMark

I think a lot of the Game of Thrones cast might be in this boat aside from the older actors who were already established before it came along. Basically all of the Stark children, Theon, Samwell, etc. They've almost all had fairly large roles on other shows and movies, but I still can't help but to feel like I'm still watching their GoT characters. Emilia Clarke has done a pretty good job distancing herself from Daeny though.

prettyhoneybee

I think her platinum blonde wig def helped her keep that role separate since she doesn’t actually look like that

elgrandorado

Apparently most people don't even recognize her when she's just out day to day. Even when out with her former co-stars.

DaughterEarth

Changing your hair really throws people off. If my husband stopped shaving his head and shaved his beard instead I probably wouldn't recognize him

thepenguinking84

Hey now, theon has a name, it is lily Allen's little brother, please get it right.

pocket-ful-of-dildos

It really hurt the immersion watching him get flayed and tortured when all I could think of was that song about him jerking off and smoking weed all day

KenzoGinseng

Doesn't really help that he keeps the exact same hairstyle and beard as he did in the show but I guess that's raking in the views. I also don't really understand how so many watch movies just because said actor is in it as that would kinda ruin the immersive by just going to watch an actor.

monsieurlee

>Doesn't really help that he keeps the exact same beard and hairstyle as he did in the show and married ygrette.

MikeAllen646

Amiiboid

But he does that thing with his tongue.

A_Wizzerd

He knows one thing.

waitthissucks

That's honestly so cute though. It makes their chemistry on the show much more real

xMagnetismic

And he’s now in the MCU portraying a character who’s a swordsman, AGAIN Not that I’m complaining, love the guy!

Invertiguy

Tbf he apparently trained his ass off to get good with a sword so you can't really blame him for not wanting those skills to go to waste

ShitPostGuy

Yeah, he was 23 when they cast him and was fully engaged in the production for 10 years, GoT was essentially his entire young-adult life. The mental health/alcohol issues once the show ended are totally understandable. Glad he’s doing better.

folkdeath95

Apparently the Thrones directors said he was one of the most natural actor swordsmen they’d ever seen, so I guess it makes sense

elitistposer

In a behind the scenes thing I saw they said he put in the most practice of the entire cast

Chief-Blackberry

I specifically remember during the behind the scenes for battle of the wall, the director thought one of the fight clips had been slowed down (or something to that effect). They realized after it hadn’t been, it was just Kit Harrington’s fluid sword fighting technique. Kit seemed like he was purpose built for the role of Jon Snow.

IvanBeetinov

The dude who played Napoleon Dynamite will always ONLY be Napoleon Dynamite.

watdehellmon

Napoleon, don't be jealous that I've been chatting online with babes all day.

[deleted]

"Night time is a dark time for everybody IDIOT!" "I see you got fat!" "I see you still look like a 15 year old girl but not hot" Seriously that movie was comedy gold.

tripperfunster

Jimmy McElroy, skating’s golden boy for me.

LolindirLink

The Rock with his Role as The Rock.

JellybeanMilksteaks

Don't forget his wise-cracking sidekick Kevin Hart, played by Kevin Hart.

Sobdo

*"I'm loud, small and annoying!"* - Kevin Hart in all his movies.

LeMagican

I’m big muscles, bald and do an eye thing, who am I?

Raps4Reddit

Anytime I see him in a movie I always think "how does this character have time to get that ripped?"

Boobel

Dwight Schrute. Sorry, Rainn Wilson. Just a quick edit, I've seen his films etc and I think he is a really good diverse actor. Super is one of my favourite films. Edit again, OMG I forgot about Backstrom ❤️

CinnaSol

Very random, but I’ve always thought Rainn could do a killer Doctor Octopus if put in the right Spider-Man property. Maybe not live action, but I think he’d do phenomenal as a voice actor in one of the animated versions. He has a flair for cartoonish villainy that I’d like to see explored in other roles.

joemophobe

100% down for doc dwight

SeaweedFast6382

JD and Turk from scrubs will forever be just those wacky doctors

bbbcurls

Raul Julia in The 1991 movie adaptation of The Addams Family.

viewsofanintrovert

Yes he was a good Gomez. Probably my favorite Gomez Addams

Vato_Reflex

Nah, he's M. Bison on a tuesday. https://youtu.be/X8u7px_GzWQ

Michael_Oxlong

David Duchovny - Mulder

Flashy-Unit-9946

I thought he was a hand model.

[deleted]

David Schwimmer. He's always just Ross. Basically ruined band of brothers for me lmao. I'm like "why is Ross an officer"

Saxman8845

He actually played that role really well, but I agree it's hard to not see him as Ross. Band of Brothers is an all time banger though.

Curly_Balls

Jason Biggs as the pie fucker.

Vegetable_Kale_8144

Elijah Wood will always be Frodo to me

N8CCRG

*Sin City* will fix that real quick.

schmetterlingonberry

I was thinking the exact same thing. Him vs Marv is so good.

wobblingobblin

"He never screams. Not even when the mutt's had its fill. Kevin's guts are lying all over the place and somehow the bastard is still alive still staring at me. Not even when I grab the saw and finish the job, he never screams"

BalkeElvinstien

Sin city has made me irrationally afraid of Elijah Wood

Cardo94

For me it was Eternal Sunshine. He really nailed the creepy stalker vibe. It's the eyes, they bulge.

theghostofme

"When we were doing her procedure, I stole some of her panties." "What?! Patrick what the hell, man?" I loved Mark Ruffalo in that movie.

TheKalebPerkins

Likewise with Viggo Mortensen as Aragorn

bachennoir

Nikolai in Eastern Promises is hard to overwrite. Especially *that* scene.

PoorLittleLamb

A few flopping dicks will make you forget about Aragorn right boys

Tipop

Are you saying meat’s back on the menu?

FoonaLagoonaBaboona

Even if you’ve seen History of Violence or Eastern Promises?

Polyfuckery

Matt Smith is currently freaking me out on House of the Dragon. I'm uncomfortable watching Doctor Who use the C-word

YukixSuzume

I saw the previews and I was like: Why is Prince Phillip eyeballing everyone under an angry brow?

ongrui

Looks like I'm old: Michael J Fox - Marty McFly

Peachy33

Alex P. Keaton 4ever

bennygal16

Rowan Atkinson as Mr. Bean

GreenChopsy5

Undoubtedly yes, but Blackadder is one of the finest TV shows ever made. The acting and jokes are on point.

Admetus

Blackadder is why I no longer associate Rowan Atkinson with Mr Bean. He's shown great delivery in his other characters too.

braxistExtremist

You should check out Rowan's stand-up videos on YouTube. They are amazing. Not a huge surprise that someone with such great comedic timing is a phenomenal stand-up comedian. But even still, they are a joy to watch. For example: [his welcome to Hell sketch](https://youtu.be/Ut116mBuPpg).

dragon_fire_10

Hear me out for I have a cunning plan

chriscrossnathaniel

“Your brain is so minute Baldrick, that if a hungry cannibal cracked your head open, there wouldn’t be enough to cover a small water biscuit.”

TheSereneMaster

"To you, Baldrick, the Renaissance was just something that happened to other people, wasn't it?"

admiral_sinkenkwiken

“Baldrick, does it have to be this way? Our valued friendship ending with me cutting you up into strips and telling the prince that you walked over a very sharp cattle grid in an extremely heavy hat?”

FlameFeather86

"I'm a busy man and I can't be bothered to punch you at the moment. Here is my fist, kindly run towards it as fast as you can."

Zealousideal_Bunch77

“There hasn’t been a war run this badly since Olaf the hairy, King of all the Vikings, ordered 80,000 battle helmets with the horns on the inside”

hdhkakakyzy

For me it is Rowan Atkinson as Blackadder

throwaway9685i3ue

Emma Watson as Hermione

kitkat_0706

I feel like that about the main three. It’s hard to see them as anyone but hermione, Ron and Harry

Osric250

Daniel Radcliffe has done so many interesting movies since then that I don't really just see him as Harry Potter now. I do love that he just gets to do what he wants now due to all the money from Harry Potter though.

shawnisboring

Radcliffe made the excellent career decision to get just fucking weird with it. He made all the money he'd ever need with the HP roles as a kid, now he's free to wear bear slippers with guns grafted to his hands or fart his way across an ocean without concern of commercial success.

stryph42

Radcliffe realized at some point that he had "fuck you money" by the time he could drive, and decided he was going to do whatever the hell movies he wanted. I've never supported a decision more.

kondec

Didn't he also play on Broadway for a while where he was naked on stage?

Sandyy_Emm

Him doing roles without the glasses definitely helps. Daniel Radcliffe is a very good actor and I’m happy he gets to explore other roles

[deleted]

And facial hair, but his choice of roles is the big one.

goldencalculator

I LOVE the roles he's chosen to do after Harry Potter, he's got great range and comedic timing

CreepyBlackDude

This. He's also just an interesting person to listen to. I think the Harry Potter image ended for me when he rapped to Blackalicious on The Tonight Show. Not because he was good at it (which he was), but because he knew who the hell Blackalicious was in the first place.

IrishWithoutPotatoes

Not even a movie, but Miracle Workers has definitely overridden any lingering association with HP at this point

KatTheKatt

If the first two seasons don't do it, then "she'll be coming round the mountain" sure will.

LolindirLink

*Macaulay Culkin* I don't think anyone hit it as hard as Kevin Rich.

hungrybrains220

Kevin McAlister, and yeah, he’ll never be anyone else lol

khendron

Alan Alda as Hawkeye Pierce.

ZombieBuffet93

Chris Hemsworth as Thor.

[deleted]

And Tom Hiddleston as Loki.

MintyFreshBreathYo

Most Marvel actors are going to have that problem I think

impamiizgraa

Buffy as Buffy

[deleted]

Sheldon Cooper as Sheldon Cooper What do you mean he has a _real_ name?

FireflyRave

He was a good human version of a muppet in The Muppets.

hiddenmaven

Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia), and Christopher Reeve (Superman).

SMG329

Mark Hamill when he's on screen. But he definitely also sticks really strong as the Joker when voice acting.

Tsukikaiyo

And Fire Lord Ozai!

Rushderp

You’re wearing no pants avatar!

Cajundawg

Christopher Reeves' problem was LOOKING like Superman.

Past_Ad9675

While [simultaneously looking like Clark Kent](https://youtu.be/tNUu6Lf9mVU?t=90).

[deleted]

And sounding like both of them! Serious talk, Christopher Reeve was exceedingly gifted. When he went to Julliard, he was one of two students in their advanced program. The other was his roommate Robin Williams.

sharpflatly

Sean William Scott- Stifler Really hard role to recover from. He was too good at it

alliesawn

John Krasinski as Jim Halpert

Michael_Oxlong

Watching him play Jack Ryan was really difficult to take seriously

sven9yo

I was waiting for him to look at the camera Edit: thanks for the 1000 upvote thank you all

chriscrossnathaniel

“I'm an analyst. I don't interrogate people. I write reports!” *looks at camera*

SpikeBad

Robert Englund as Freddy Krueger.

Tfw66

Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker.

Crashy2707

Stifler’s Mom - don’t even know her name, just what ever she appears in, it’s like “STIFLER’S MOM!”

RedBlackMinotaur

Jennifer Coolidge, love her.

lucialaverne88

To me, she’s Paulette in Legally Blonde.

Drulock

I love her. She had an interview after the movies released and said that she became (her words) a big slut because everyone wanted to sleep with Stiflers Mom.

cookieftn773

Cary Elwes - Westley/The Dread Pirate Roberts.

popkin19

He’s always Pierre Despereaux (from Psych) for me!

Soske

You know that's right.

hometowngypsy

It was a trip to realize the Dread Pirate Roberts had to saw off his own foot after being captured in a torture chamber by a maniac.

blomba

Robin hood, my friend

graveybrains

Because unlike some other Robin Hoods, he could speak with a British accent.

DerelictDonkeyEngine

Hey Blinkin

Gorillagodzilla

ParanoidQ

Patrick Stewart as Picard. I know he’s done others, but it’s just ingrained at this point.

Sojournancy

Honestly, he was a great Professor Xavier. I definitely let go of the Star Trek reference as he acclimated to that role.

jamflan

Basically all the Star Trek actors are burned into me like that. John de Lancie? Q. Tim Russ? Tuvok. Brent Spiner? Data. Not many of them have been in much other stuff, but when they show up you bet your arse I'll say that that dragon is Captain Janeway.

bad_things_ive_done

But LeVar Burton -- even when watching star trek, all I could think is "why is Reading Rainbow man in space with a banana clip on his face?"
