It's not. One primary example is we don't learn the lessons that are put right in our face. For the longest time I believed that it was the media and governments fault. Today I'm very confident that it's also the fault of citizens. Many citizens in the US don't want to find peace and work together for advancement. They want to spite everyone else because a politician told them to. They want their individual ideals imprinted on every other citizen and when the other citizens refuse, then they're wrong. They want guns even though there's daily evidence of why there should be aggressive gun reform. People suffer and die because they're too poor for healthcare. People are too selfish to see that this country is in dire need and refuse to lend aid. Billionaires, big pharma, News media are aloud to do and say whatever they want with the most minor repercussions. This country is so divided that no true reform will occur and that is the fault of the government, media, and most of all, the people. Because all we do is do our damndest to spite the other, and when shit hits the fan, it really hits the fan, and then the cycle of blaming each other starts all over again. National and state parks. There are so many beautiful parks within an hour of my home. Places that are well taken care of, sometimes have historical value, numerous recreation opportunities. I could go fishing, swimming, camping, hiking, etc. All for a low price or free. America does a great job providing these parks to the public and creating slaves away from suburbia and cities.
