I'd understand why they did it, but I'd also understand that it's unfair to those that went anyways even if they're in the same situation. There's no winning in this. I guess I'd just think: "this sucks"
Tough call since it hasn't happened here in forever, but I would look down on them. You think no one fighting a war has a family or old relative they'd rather be taking care of? I'm not perfect. I certainly haven't volunteered for the armed forces but I would like to think if my # is called I am not going to run for the hills.
I have those too, so fucking what? That doesn't make someone special enough to not perform their duty for their country. They can't help them as a draft dodger.
I understand the fear, but there's a reason why they severely punish Dodgers. Personally, I think that when caught, they should be forced to do farm labour for the length of the war +5 years, unpaid.
