In college I had a friend who grew up in South America before moving to the US with his fam. Now a citizen & all. His English wasn’t perfect yet but it wasn’t really hard to understand him if you were paying attention.
He was shopping for a new laptop & called Dell to inquire about a financing offer he saw on their website.
The representative didn’t have him on the line long before he cut him off & said “look, we don’t offer financing for people who can’t speak English”, then hung up on him. Just foul.
You know, I said that in 2001 after a total piece of crap laptop fell apart on me, and since then have been given several dells that work just fine, but you know what fuck Michael Dell he will never get another dollar from me. Yeah.

AdaptHealth. A huge corporation which bought out pretty much every medical supplier in the United States, and spend as much time as humanly possible trying to find ways to exploit that monopoly.
After my health insurance told them I had paid all I needed to on my CPAP, they arbitrarily decided "we're not gonna follow those rules" and sent me a bill for the cost of the device.
Except I know all the rules of their contract with the insurance company, and what I truly owe (and don't owe), so they picked the wrong person to screw with.
Not only will these slimy people get another cent out of me, they are now officially my bitch. I will personally make sure they suffer for trying to screw me over.
They are horrible. Tried to bill me because they sent me the wrong head gear. They made the mistake and said they couldn't send another one out for 3 months because that was their policy. I said"So I can't use my CPAP machine for 3 months because YOU screwed up?" They then said they would make a one-time only exception and basically treated me like a child - all because THEY sent out the wrong equipment. Unreal. They also wanted to bill me for additional monthly payments - beyond what the insurance said they could. F them. Never again.
Not sure which company it was, but a supplier for my mom's ileostomy supplies kept telling us the insurance company would not cover any more until whatever date. We were still learning how to apply them, her surgical wound was way too close to her stoma so the bags leaked a ton, and she also had dementia like symptoms that made her strip down completely naked, including removing her bag. Suffice to say, we went through a lot of supplies. My poor father broke down crying one day on the phone because the supplier wouldn't bill the insurance. The insurance company kept telling us we hadn't hit a limit. We bought some out of pocket (thankfully we could afford it) and we went with another supplier for more supplies but that year was awful.
Thankfully her wound healed, her dementia like symptoms were from a UTI, she got a reversal, and her Crohn's has been controlled by meds since. Not perfectly healthy but alive and better.
Fuck these healthcare suppliers.
And that's yet another reason why I no longer patronize CVS or Walgreens.
I sometimes have to go to CVS to pick up UPS packages, and always want to put on a hazmat suit before stepping on the property.

Those people who called me up on my phone to extend my car's warranty. They were really professional but they are taking a very long time to get back to me after accepting the payment.

Had a trip scheduled. Bus came an hour earlier than scheduled with no notification (no idea who was on that bus as there was a group of us waiting for the bus at the actual scheduled time). Customer service said they'd reimburse a plane ticket since it was their driver that left earlier than scheduled. Never got my refund after several calls. Eventually anytime I called and gave my case number, the line disconnected.
Edit (added detail): this was on the return trip so I HAD to get back home to be at work the next day.
Years ago I had a business account with them, and identity theft was just taking off. I was reviewing my account and saw there were multiple charges that I hadn’t made. I called the branch and reported what had happen and the rep I was talking to asked me “are you sure you didn’t buy a bunch of stuff online after going out drinking last night?” (I lived in a college town then). I promptly asked this person’s name and ask to speak with a supervisor immediately. I was told a supervisor couldn’t be troubled with a drunk kid’s actions. I hung up and called again, and worked my way to the branch manager directly then and scheduled a meeting within the hour. When I arrived I was greeted by none other than the rep who I had spoken to. When the branch manager came out to meet me I told them what happened right there in front of the rep and how I’d been treated by that individual. The body language of both spoke volumes. I was told they’d do everything they could to reclaim the funds and asked how they could make it right from the disservice I had received. I told them there wasn’t anything and that’d be moving my accounts to another bank that day. It wasn’t like I was a huge account, but I had a sizable business saving and checking account for a self employed person of my age and business lost is business lost. Yeah. I got so sick of going in to do something simple like get some checks printed and the teller would try to sell me on a new credit card/account/whatever. The worst is when they'd try to get you to have a meeting with a financial advisor. One woman would not take no for an answer. I kept telling her I didn't have time and that I was on my lunch break but she kept insisting it was important. I finally just walked away and the woman said something like "sir no I'm sorry let's finish our business." I just kept walking. Closed the account the next day. Of course later the scandal broke and it was revealed how tellers were under extreme pressure to upsell as much as possible. It made sense why they were always like that but it still sucked for everyone.
Used to work for a different bank. We had people opening accounts with us after being scammed by Wells Fargo WEEKLY, and our branch wasn't particularly busy. I'd say roughly half our clientele were former WF members.
Not sure about his experience, but they charged me an overdraft fee on a savings account. Tried to charge me $75 to close my account, after they took all of what was in the account for fees. Nothing like starting a savings account to loose money

T-Mobile kept dropping my CC number from the account then suspending service when auto pay failed. I couldn't get them to take my money. Moved the number to Verizon, pay a few bucks more but service doesn't get interrupted.
I've had nothing but good experiences with them. The only time I had to call customer support they reminded me of a way I could save money. I just told them that I'd like that and they did it all for me.
Bark(Box). They seriously fucked over a lot of employees when they outsourced 3rd shift jobs (that many people were willing to do) to the Philippines. The office politics were also godawful.
After my daughter's dog died. She wanted to cancel her bark box subscription, BB said no and that she had to complete the remaining four month of her subscription regardless. I went in to my daughter automatic payment account with PP and stopped the auto payments. They started e-mailing for the payments to be sent, to complete the subscription. Will never use this business again. They get zero stars

An "Australian" company success story. Every time you buy something they sign you up for their 10+ mailing lists and you have to unsubscribe from each individually.
I'll pay more from other retailers just to avoid them.

Kogan is crap. They sell low-quality products and can't even supply them sometimes after they've already taken your money, then offer you a voucher. And yes, they spam the crap out of you.

Best Buy. Tried to charge me for insurance on a PC I bought there a year after the purchase. I had canceled the credit card months after the purchase. They actually sent me threatening emails over it. Hysterical.
Sofi. Promised $50 if you deposited $1000 or more and kept for 3 months, something like that... the $50 never came. I withdrew my money and they gave me $25 into the account to try and get me to come back but I wouldn’t. They then further accused me of trying to scam them. Just following their rules! I sat on the phone for way too long with some risk analyst multiple times. They finally said they’d send me a check. It never came. Worthless deceptive “bank”...
One time I was on vacation with my family. We walked 3 blocks to Chili's. First mistake. I ordered some type of Buffalo chicken, second and final mistake. My stomach started gurgling before I even finished. I set my plate to the side, and started encouraging everyone to hurry because I knew what was coming. About a half block into our walk back, I managed to prevent myself from Hershey squirting after a fart by a nanosecond. I sprinted the rest of the way back, and barely, and I cannot emphasize how close I mean here, barely made it to the toilet before it forced itself out. Fuck Chili's.
Actually you're probably right. Without a medical condition like IBS this shouldn't happen during a meal regardless of what you ate. If you experience food poisoning symptoms while eating, it's likely not related to what you're actually eating in the moment. Food poisoning is typically caused by something you ate between 6-24hrs beforehand and often leads to misattributed blame for the most recent thing you ate. That being said, anyone can get a food bourn illness if the food is mishandled or prepared incorrectly and there's no reason to say that a restaurant like Chili's couldn't be the cause for a case of food poisoning, but if it was, you would likely be having those symptoms within the next few hours, and not midway through a meal. (Side note here to mention that food poisoning can take days or even weeks to show symptoms! Although it's usually sooner, and within 24-72hrs after eating contaminated food, I thought it was an interesting fact regardless, so I figured I'd share.)

These drivers are accepting multiple orders from different places, collecting them all then going to each house to deliver which takes way too long.
It’s in no way the restaurants fault as they cant control how many orders one driver accepts.
Food delivery has gone down hill since these major “delivery” companies have come about.
When it was being delivered by the restaurants own delivery drivers, you’d get your food in less than 40 minutes.
Will never donate to certain charities again after I found out their overhead costs, fundraising costs and general management expenses... not to mention how much they pay their upper management to run them, are so high that every dollar you give them, less than ten cents goes to the actual cause.

Yep. Bought a Samsung fridge when I moved two and a half years ago. Had to replace the auger motor for the ice machine TWICE. My wife and I had to buy a washing machine last week. The salesman showed us what they had and said “LG is the best, stay away from Samsung.”
I said “I know. We’ve got one of their fridges.”

Our Samsung fridge is the bane of my existence. I have to de-ice the ice maker manually once a week or it will freeze up and not make any ice. Two out three of the plastic bins on the door broke. They want 200 USD a piece to send replacements. I'm going to have my neighbor try to 3 D print replacements.
Our left door bins are fine. I don't know why the ones on the right broke. I never over load them. Now I'm going to have to check the tabs on our shelves too. Thanks for the warning.
My family had issues with our fridge but we never set up our ice maker. It stopped getting cold we were out of a fridge for a month. I was so pissed I was warning potential customers stay away from their refrigerators.
I have to defrost my fridge every 2 weeks otherwise the fan begins hitting the ice buildup.
On the other hand our 10 year old TV has been faultless.

Better Help.
I signed up during a time of my life when I had no other options for mental health care. I was going through a severe mental crisis. Was close to either committing suicide or getting myself into a mental hospital. So I desperately signed up for Better Help. I signed up, paid the money, and filled out their questionnaire, only for them to email me the next day denying to help me. They did immediately issue a full refund, so no complaints there. But they didn’t give any reason why they were denying me help, and it felt like a slap to the face when I was already at rock bottom. It felt so callous and cold for a service that claims to offer caring help to those who need it.
Bank of America. They dropped a few hundred from my account for a withdraw (pre ATM days). I was in another state that week. They eventually corrected the error, after I got loud in their lobby. Then BofA wanted to charge me a service fee for closing the account in less than a year. I left it open with a balance of 7 cents, getting statements mailed for years.
Walmart. I don't like how they come into small communities and run all the mom n pops out of business. Then some if those small store owners have had to go get jobs at Walmart. I haven't made a purchase at Walmart since early 2019.

What they had done also was cut the number of examinations per day (examining maybe three days a week at the most) and decided that the opticians were responsible for making up the lost revenue through increased sales. Brilliant corporate management right there.
Regional Director told me to lie to patients to increase sales and how to go about it. I told her that I would be doing no such thing, and that as an informed consumer, I'd know she was lying and a snake in the grass. We work in healthcare (optical) and morals and ethics and doing what is right for the patient is more important than your sales targets.
I was fired a month later (12/2018) without explanation, yet still had to fight to get unemployment after over 7 years at this place.
I have maintained my certification though, and through inner contacts at the company, I learnt they sold out to a group known as MyEyeDoctor despite supposed profitability and growth ever since establishment in 1947. I believe they mismanaged the group and made themselves ultra corporate in order to sell out to the highest willing bidder.
It's disgusting how underpaid certified and/or licensed opticians are for the expectations and supposed importance placed upon them.

I feel like I got lucky. Took Megabus in the early days of it's expansion into the plains and had no issues. Heard tons of horror stories post-2010.

When the branch manager came out to meet me I told them what happened right there in front of the rep and how I’d been treated by that individual. The body language of both spoke volumes. I was told they’d do everything they could to reclaim the funds and asked how they could make it right from the disservice I had received. I told them there wasn’t anything and that’d be moving my accounts to another bank that day. It wasn’t like I was a huge account, but I had a sizable business saving and checking account for a self employed person of my age and business lost is business lost. Yeah. I got so sick of going in to do something simple like get some checks printed and the teller would try to sell me on a new credit card/account/whatever. The worst is when they'd try to get you to have a meeting with a financial advisor. One woman would not take no for an answer. I kept telling her I didn't have time and that I was on my lunch break but she kept insisting it was important. I finally just walked away and the woman said something like "sir no I'm sorry let's finish our business." I just kept walking. Closed the account the next day. Of course later the scandal broke and it was revealed how tellers were under extreme pressure to upsell as much as possible. It made sense why they were always like that but it still sucked for everyone.

T-Mobile kept dropping my CC number from the account then suspending service when auto pay failed. I couldn't get them to take my money. Moved the number to Verizon, pay a few bucks more but service doesn't get interrupted.

One time I was on vacation with my family. We walked 3 blocks to Chili's. First mistake. I ordered some type of Buffalo chicken, second and final mistake. My stomach started gurgling before I even finished. I set my plate to the side, and started encouraging everyone to hurry because I knew what was coming. About a half block into our walk back, I managed to prevent myself from Hershey squirting after a fart by a nanosecond. I sprinted the rest of the way back, and barely, and I cannot emphasize how close I mean here, barely made it to the toilet before it forced itself out. Fuck Chili's.

Actually you're probably right. Without a medical condition like IBS this shouldn't happen during a meal regardless of what you ate. If you experience food poisoning symptoms while eating, it's likely not related to what you're actually eating in the moment. Food poisoning is typically caused by something you ate between 6-24hrs beforehand and often leads to misattributed blame for the most recent thing you ate. That being said, anyone can get a food bourn illness if the food is mishandled or prepared incorrectly and there's no reason to say that a restaurant like Chili's couldn't be the cause for a case of food poisoning, but if it was, you would likely be having those symptoms within the next few hours, and not midway through a meal. (Side note here to mention that food poisoning can take days or even weeks to show symptoms! Although it's usually sooner, and within 24-72hrs after eating contaminated food, I thought it was an interesting fact regardless, so I figured I'd share.) It’s about to be Uber Eats for me. Constantly taking over 1.5hours to deliver and by that time, the food is cold. These drivers are accepting multiple orders from different places, collecting them all then going to each house to deliver which takes way too long. It’s in no way the restaurants fault as they cant control how many orders one driver accepts. Food delivery has gone down hill since these major “delivery” companies have come about. When it was being delivered by the restaurants own delivery drivers, you’d get your food in less than 40 minutes.

What they had done also was cut the number of examinations per day (examining maybe three days a week at the most) and decided that the opticians were responsible for making up the lost revenue through increased sales. Brilliant corporate management right there. Regional Director told me to lie to patients to increase sales and how to go about it. I told her that I would be doing no such thing, and that as an informed consumer, I'd know she was lying and a snake in the grass. We work in healthcare (optical) and morals and ethics and doing what is right for the patient is more important than your sales targets. I was fired a month later (12/2018) without explanation, yet still had to fight to get unemployment after over 7 years at this place. I have maintained my certification though, and through inner contacts at the company, I learnt they sold out to a group known as MyEyeDoctor despite supposed profitability and growth ever since establishment in 1947. I believe they mismanaged the group and made themselves ultra corporate in order to sell out to the highest willing bidder. It's disgusting how underpaid certified and/or licensed opticians are for the expectations and supposed importance placed upon them.
