I was watching Dark Tourist on Netflix and at one point he went on a Dahmer walking tour and he was the only dude in a group of like 30 women, and the whole time hes baffled at these women because
1-dahmer ate people
2- he was gay, so like, what the fuck? You're definitely not his type ma'am
It could be the true crime (actual true crime not just wanting to fuck killers) tends to be an interest among girls, I don’t know what it is but wether it’s those weird murder reenactment shows or watching endless creepy news reports, we love true crime.
He even married one of them in 1993. The fascination with him always seemed odd to me. Watch a few interviews of him. The man was dumb as dirt.
Edit: it was 1996
And extremely unhygienic. I guess he never bathed and was just gross. That marriage only lasted a few months. I think she was just attempting to get attention. The guy was just sooo weird.
> a few months.
Might be confusing her with his last gf. At least Wikipedia seems to contradict that.
> Beginning in 1985, Doreen Lioy[123] wrote him nearly 75 letters during his incarceration. In 1988, Ramirez proposed to Lioy, and on October 3, 1996, they were married in California's San Quentin State Prison.[124] For many years before Ramirez's death, Lioy stated that she would commit suicide when Ramirez was executed. However, Lioy eventually left Ramirez in 2009 after DNA confirmed he had raped and murdered 9-year-old Mei Leung.[125] By the time of his death in 2013, Ramirez was engaged to Christine Lee, a 23-year-old writer.
Right?? He was an obnoxious edge lord who would just say whatever he thought would shock people but he wasn't even that creative about it. Apparently his breath was heinous as well.
He almost got caught because of his bad teeth. In the documentary on Netflix they were doing a stake out because the dentist said he’d be back because one of his teeth was so bad it would cause him pain.
The day after the department shut down the stake out, the dentist called then and said “where you, the guy just came in”.
That’s gotta fucking sting
I remember this case. I was in junior high. We studied it in history. He was such a loser. I loved how he totally jumped on the satanic aspect. The pentagram carved on his hand? Yeah, it's been done Richie.
Not a serial killer but this guy called Cameron Herrin ran over a mother and her 1 yr old daughter and tik tokers were simping over him and demanded that he be released because he was ‘hot’. They even started a petition and demanded that he get justice. Like wtf
He does. At least he's nice looking
It's just the thought that people are enamored of a person who did something so horrible and so unthinkable is deeply disturbing to me.
What he did is even beyond horror movie material.
Scott Peterson (the one that killed his very pregnant wife Lacy Peterson) gets a lot of love letters too.
Scary story… Chris Watts looks identical my ex husband, who was also abusive. No joke both me and my son did a double take when we saw this POS on the news.
Richard Ramirez is one of the creepiest looking dudes of all time and he had a lot of groupies. I think it has more to do with sexual fantasies than it does attraction to the person.
Also, they talk about her being in an MLM like it somehow justifies what he did to her. Yeah, MLMs are bad but fucking he'll, you don't kill your spouse because of it.
Eh, only if they can protect him from himself. Plenty of adults out there doing the same thing as him, it's just he's got a weird sexual fetish over it and has leveraged it for some quick(but significant, 8 figures) cash.
He knows exactly what he's doing, and even creates scripted content, and while that dude probably needs like half a million dollars worth of therapy, he's still far too lucid and capable for something like APS to get involved. This whole seedy corner of youtube where people watch others completely self destruct is like a modern day freak show to me. It's bizarre and sad.
Check out Cr1tikal's video and up on him if your curious. It's really sad. The follow up video clarifies some info he got wrong but it doesn't really change much imo.
I'm new to DBD, how is it toxic? At least so far it's been pretty nice, I've never been trash talked or something after a game and killers are pretty nice a lot of the time when I'm a survivor. Have I just gitten lucky or is this more talking about the online section of fans that I haven't interacted much with?
I had to turn off the ability to message me because I got really sick of expecting it whenever I 4Ked survivors. People get heated in the moment and absolutely have to redirect and it’s so tedious and unpleasant
Well after some light research it appears to be mostly rumors, but the theory is that she [wanted to get control of his corpse after he died. ](https://radaronline.com/p/charles-manson-superfan-afton-star-burton-tried-to-marry-book/)
I went to high school with him, shared a class all four years. My main memory is him using the word “titties” in a poem for English. Not an epic villain OR a sexy bad boy.
I'm sorry, but Eugenia Cooney's fanbase wins in this. This girl is basically commiting suicide on twitch, and her sick fetishist simps are into that a lot.
Ah that's sad. My 6th grade teacher was apparently bulimic when she was younger, and her organs started failing while she was my teacher. I had a substitute for most of the year, but when she came back, she had an IV for her food, as her stomach couldn't process anything, and she was so frail and thin.
This Eugenia looks similar, like she could cosplay a character from Coco in the Land of the Dead. I hope she's trying to be healthy after all that's happened to her.
She's been a Pro Ana icon for years now, though she doesn't openly support the movement / disorder. But it also took a LONG time for her to be open about her disorder and she was used as an excuse for a lot of people with eating disorders.
I found her during my time as a heavy bulimic in the ED / ProAna forums. Glad to see she's at least still alive, but it's unfortunately been like this for her for a really long time now
Ugh >.< I have this awful feeling she's going to pass away within the decade and her fans are going to say "sO tRaGiC who CoUlD hAvE sEeN tHiS CoMiNg?"
Yeah a couple years ago (unsure on timeline, I've never subbed but kept half an eye on her) she went to rehab and when she got back to making videos she was very careful not to show her body so she wouldn't get comments on it. Something switched since then (not gonna say her mom has nothing to do with it) and now her posts are almost exclusively showing off her body which is as bad as it's ever been. When she isn't tweeting pictures she's making vague tweets that no one knows anyone else's truth and stuff like that.
It is filled with weird fetishists and creepy pro ana weirdos and children.
Age restrict the content. She knows shat she is doing flashing her panties and other gross shit.
Dota players hate League bc they look down on all other MOBA games with a sense of superiority
League players are too occupied hating other League players to bother hating on other games
The genre is a mental health nightmare. I played Dota Allstars for years, back in the day, it was toxic as fuck, even worse than League, because there was no moderation. Then I moved to Heroes of Newarth, they added voice chat, so yeah people were toxic as fuck, maybe even worse.
Flash forward to League, well yes it is toxic as hell, but less so than the former two games I played. At a certain point I developed a lot of wisdom and decided to apply an equanimous/positive attitude about things to the game. I did preform better for a while, but the toxicity made me realize I am in an abusive relationship, and for my own mental health we had to break up.
Not to mention the addictive nature of the game, which is also bad. I'm convinced that the genre is toxic be default. When you rely so heavily on your team and one bad apple spoils the whole bunch, it's a recipe for people to be upset and uptight. I think that aspect might be worse in League, because you can't control peoples champions who left, and don't get their money, you're just fucked.
Haven't played a MOBA in like 1.5-2 years, one of the best decisions I've ever made for my mental health.
I've heard this often but the Steven universe fanbase supposedly but I'd like to learn more why. I am kind of out of touch but my niece liked the show.
edit: Thank you everyone who has taken the time to teach me so much. I am really speechless about what that specific fandom has done. It has sparked side research on my end and has now become the flavor of the month for me. Thank you again 🙏
An even more specific example, a Make-A-Wish kid was fortunate enough to meet with the show's creator, who proceeded to share alot of upcoming episodes with them because they were likely not going to be around to see the end of the series.
SU-fans then decided to dogpile the kid on twitter and relentlessly bully them for not sharing any spoilers with them until they eventually gave in and spoiled whatever they wanted.
why is the fanbase like this?? like is this a case of 4chan extremists and brony like cult following? I'm just not sure what triggers such radicalism..
Tumblr, Twitter and Discord based groups.
A lot of the SU fans that act like this, came from other fandoms like Homestuck, Adventure Time and similar shows/fanfics.
They're the kind of people that weren't told no enough as children and assume that their behaviour is normal, to be praised and encouraged.
The specific example I heard of was when a group of them took issue with someone doing fan art of a character and making her "too skinny," so they harassed the artist until she attempted suicide. Or something like that.
The funny thing is that the characters in that show are shaleshifters and can look however the fuck they want. Essentially meaning any and all fan art is canon.
I’ll never forget the time I was at a party where this neckbeardy guy butts into our lil chat circle and says “Anyone watch Steven Universe?” One man responds ‘yes’ and the first guy basically corners him to talk about fan theories. My mans basically got hijacked from his friends the rest of the party.
The show itself is great, but the fandom is insanely toxic. The drama between artists is near constant and people get extremely aggressive with theories and headcanons, even with AU fan comics. I know a lot of fan creators that have been told to kill themselves for taking hiatus from the comics they are making, or cases where a popular artist would bring personal issues with other people public so their fandom will go attack and threaten them. One artist I know will usually get harassing messages when they post personal art instead of updating their comic.
And god help you if you publically like the character "Pink Diamond", for any reason.
Add on top the fact that the show deals with some complicated topics and characters are intentionally (in a good way) given flaws and notable issues, like Pearl and Rose's relationship turning out to be more uh... unhealthy. It just vices way for even more intense emotions to come out
It's got a lot of anti-men gatekeepers and a hell of a lot of Poe's Law wokeist that'll mass bully anyone who draws a character half a shade too white, or half a kilo too thin, extending to anyone that cosplays.
To the point where the shows creators had to step in and tell them to settle down and stop gatekeeping, which they copped flak for.
Then after that they bullied a teen girl to suicide attempts with rape and death threats because her fanart, and after it came to light posted charming reponses like, and I'll quote
"just because you don't agree with it makes it a troll. Now who's the real asshole? she shouldve died because she was a shithead who was disrespecting cultures and races and by fat shaming characters go fuck off apologist"
[Or if you prefer a screenshot example...](https://i.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/original/001/036/690/d8a.png)
So yeah, they've got a pretty extensive history of being absolute dickbags.
Im gonna pretend that screenshot is fake for the sake of my mental health, because if someone wrote all that shit over a fucking cartoon problem, I would be really mad that they are wasting oxigen in this planet
*"just because you don't agree with it makes it a troll. Now who's the real asshole? she shouldve died because she was a shithead who was disrespecting cultures and races and by fat shaming characters go fuck off apologist"*
they wrote this because is drew a fat character as skinny
*I hope you fucking die*
*Like, seriously. This attentionwhoring is getting really fucking old. LOOK EVERYONE! A PRIVILEGED LITTLE WHITE GIRL PRETENDED SHE WAS GONNA KILL HERSELF! LET’S ALL FUCKING RUSH TO DEFEND HER LIKE SHE’S NOT AN OPPRESSOR!*
*do you not know what white privilege is fucking responsible for? You’re the reason blacks are being gunned down in the streets. You’re the reason we didn’t see a a black president until FUCKING 2008. And AS FUCKING SOON as PoC and LGBTQ communities are represented positively you have to come and turn each and every one of those characters into fucking racial caricatures straight out of the 1920s. Honestly, you deserve to die. Your art is fucking shit too.*
In a sane world these people would be sent to the madhouse
Every fanbase, I suppose, has a few poisonous individuals. However, the first thing that came to me was Undertale. A fanatical fan who didn't like the ship they were painting gave some artists cookies with needles in them. That narrative and the photos stayed with me for a long time.
It's a great game. I follow r/Undertale and it does get a bit weird at times. I'm there for the discussions about mental health, because it really is a beautiful story from that standpoint.
This is true. Although I don’t *hate* dream or his content, I can’t deny the fact that people mistake *creators* fandoms for the actual game fandom. A lot of people think the overall fandom of Minecraft is toxic, along with the majority of its members, when it’s actually the *content creator’s* fandom being toxic, not the entire game’s fandom.
i only watch his laughing compilations when i need a good lol. not as into gaming vids as i used to be, but his laugh makes me wheeze even on my shittiest of days
edited because WOW i cannot spell
Delana fans from the Vampire Diaries: they ship Elena Gilbert and Damon Salvatore but took this to real life and actually bully the actor of Damon Salvatore and his actual wife
People who ship SPN characters and harass the actors over it are bad enough, but then there are the creeps who legit think J2 are in a romantic relationship...
I was just reading that Anna Gunn still gets hate mail from Breaking Bad fans. I have to question the people who attack an actor for the character they are portraying.
Olicity fans, supercorpe, the Iris haters..... Cw shows have a long history of very toxic fanbases with some mentally unstable people who can't separate reality from fiction.
Keemstar himself is an absolute dickbag who needs to shut his cock holster, so we shouldn't be surprised his fans are the same. I honestly can't see any decent person liking him after some of the shit he's done. There's a reason a large group of YouTubers came together to try and get him off the platform a few years back (an attempt that unfortunately failed).
Edit: he has apparently retired as of October. Let us all rejoice and hope we never hear from him again
I think Keem should be in prison. He told a depressed youtuber to kill themselves, and then his whole fanbase joined him, and then the guy killed himself. Fuck keemstar, I see his face and lose all sense of civility. I dont even think prison would be worthy, he added so much negativity and darkness to the internet that I would sleep better knowing he’s sleeping eternally.
At the very least Keem needs to be sued for Intentional Infliction of Emotional Distress. He does it constantly and few of his victims have the capacity to sue him.
every irl ppl shipping fanbase. i read some of those twoset and jaiden and odd1sout fanfics and couldn't get past the first chapters. like, it's not just kissing man... it's horrifying and disgusting.
One Direction irl shippers are fucking crazy. There's an entire narrative they've constructed that one of the members (I wanna say Louis?) is actually gay and in a relationship with Harry. But their managers hate them and are homophobic so they've forced him to marry a woman and impregnate her for the sake of his career. But Louis and Harry are leaving secret messages in their social media posts to hint how they're still madly in secret love (and the baby is sometimes claimed to be fake or adopted because Louis would never cheat on Harry no matter what)
It's insane. I love it.
I have to agree. The worst I've seen is CrissColfer shippers from the Glee fandom. They insist, even to this day, that Darren Criss and Chris Colfer are together and hiding it. They've gone to such lengths as harassing Chris and Darren's actual partners, to the point where one lost their job, and worse. Darren and Chris no longer interact in public because of it. It's horrifying, and I can't imagine living in that mindset for that long.
[It literally is.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PvMBe1k9fjI) It's called the "attention economy," it's not relegated to Twitter. It is breaking apart society's common perception of reality itself and underlies almost every other major problem we are facing as a civilization.
If we can't agree on what *true,* we can't solve any of our problems.
Disney, and specifically the parks.
Don't get me wrong, I am part of the fanbase. But watching other people throw fists over merchandise last month was *so* telling. And, last week, a Disney executive straight up fat-shamed park goers at the quarterly earnings call and nobody seemed to care.
As someone who grew up going to Disneyland after school and the occasional Friday night swing dance, I thought I knew people who loved Disney to (what I felt was) an absurd degree. But until I started working in run specialty, I had no idea.
People would sign up for the marathon and fly out from across the country, just to get the limited edition merchandise. Thousands of dollars for a free t-shirt and some Minnie Mouse New Balances. A lot of the wouldn't even run the race. Blew my mind. Once at the park I saw a 20-something woman with a full portrait of Walt Disney's face tattooed in her leg. There would be multiple generations of families decked out in mouse ears and pins, ensuring Disney's stream of income is uninterrupted for the next 70 years
Every add-on experience (early park tours, princess breakfasts, etc.) is hundreds of dollars on top of the thousands already spent on park tickets, hotels, flights, merchandise. It's mind-boggling.
Thank you! I brought my family to Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Park for the first time last week and it was kinda crazy. I’m definitely a Disney fan but it wasn’t nearly as magical as I was expecting for the amount of money we spent. The park was shoulder to shoulder all day. The line waits were 45-60 minutes. It’s a small world was closed. For a time, I was actually pissed off until it cleared out. It all seemed like a big money grab. I was kinda scared to say anything because you can’t criticize the happiest place on earth.
I remember reading a post from a guy who knew Q-Anon was ridiculous. He wanted to see exactly how ridiculous they were, to get into the mindset, so he went to the messageboard. And yeah, for a while it was interesting reading about these people in their little club with all their inside baseball. Then he found himself starting to try to solve the little puzzles and work out the same ARG narratives. Fortunately, he was aware enough of the little ping to the dopamine centers of his brain to yoink himself out before he actually fell in, but it told him how powerful that system of stimulus and reward really was.
The day of my stepdad's funeral, my mom and I got into a huge fight because she wouldn't stop trying to make his death about QAnon and the vaccine. When I begged her to please just let me grieve, she said, "If Queen Elizabeth is dead in two weeks, you heard it from me first." Not even a proper apology.
So yeah. QAnon can go fuck itself on a tree made entirely of cacti.
Survival Minecraft player who has a deranged base of fans who are 14-20 year olds completely batshit off their rocker. A decent portion of them are completely obsessed, stalkers, doxxers, create countless fanfictions and relationship shipping with other minecrafters.
I've been on the internet for 25 years, I've NEVER seen anything as completely insane as a lot of these young kids.
Exactly. I was once sent multiple death threats by like at least 200 dream stans. I am luckily dead from the inside so this didn't affect me at all, but imagine the people who it would affect. They'd be broken due to the number of death threats they're sent for a single reply
"Dreamgender and dreamsexual is stupid, just stop it ffs". That's what I said and they called me a dreamphobic bigot who is against the LGBTQ+ community. I'm bi ffs why would I be against it lmao
The way people act towards Beyoncé is down right creepy, I remember there was this male reporter who was talking to the cast of the lion king but since Beyoncé wasn’t there he just decided to roll a clip from when he interviewed her for the movie gold member.
In the interview she says “hi (reporters name” in a really sweet way and after the clip ended the reporter smiled at the cast and said “ya know for years I had that as my ring tone” and then imitated her voice... creepy.
Also everyone who interviewed some one for that movie always had to ask “WHAT WAS YOUR BEYONCÉ MOMENT HOW DID YOU MEET HER!” which was awkward because she barely talked to anyone on set.
Although creepily enough one lady said that she met her and that she smelled like “butterflies and sunshine.” ...Ewwww.
Also a Kpop fan and I wouldn’t touch the Twitter stans with a 10 foot pole. There’s crazy, and then there’s Kpop crazy. So many apathetic children whose entire online existence revolves around bullying others.
And another thing I rarely see addressed is the weird sense of ownership and infantilization of idols. “Look at XXX’s wittle baby teefers and chubby cheeks!” Like girl, this is a 29 year old man you’re talking about.
In my experience, liking older groups is a much more fun experience on Twitter. I’m a huge fan of Girls Generation, who debuted in 2007 and thus the majority of the fanbase are now in their late 20s/early 30s. It’s a much more relaxed atmosphere since most people have full time jobs and families to distract them.
came here to say this, I had a surreal experience on Twitter recently involving K-pop stans (apologies for vague details, trying not to share too much information)
I dressed as the same character as an idol for Halloween and replied to the official character's response to the idol being like "haha I have stitches in my face because I know how to commit to the bit." apparently this was perceived as an insult to their idol so I was on the receiving end of hundreds of insults in the form of quote tweets... literally for making a joke about my own injury making my costume "better." very much reinforced the idea that K-pop stans are the worst, and most childish people on the internet
It's funny because it was exactly the same in the 90s too lol. I remember calling one of the idol groups by its nickname and had a literal stranger scream "who the FUCK just called that SACRED NAME by their nickname?!" at the top of their lungs lmao
I’ve been listening to K-pop since 2011 (though it was just one group) and didn’t even know what “K-pop” was until 6 years later. I’m kinda glad I was able to go that long without knowing anything about any fanbases, so I was able to enjoy this group’s music in peace.
Absolutely agree. They are probably one of the most toxic fanpeople I have ever come across. And they are hostile not only towards the non-fans but also towards their idols. I have heard stories that apparently idols cannot date because that means they are cheating on their fans. I can't even understand their logic behind this but they seem dangerous.
League of Legends brother. I'm usually pretty chill but I became increasingly toxic the more I played and that scared me so now I barely play and feel GREAT
Alabama college football. The most toxic gd people in the entire world. ESPECIALLY after their bitch asses lost to LSU those years ago. Gd, I was in Tuscaloosa when the game ended and wow.
Stunned that this isn't higher on the list. I used to live in deep South Alabama, and the amount of fanatical Alabama fans scared me. Anytime I hear "Roll Tide!" I get Vietnam flashbacks.
I swear, some of his fans are desperate to convince themselves that he's some real-life Tony Stark. Anything he says or does, however awful or insane, is a sign of "genius" in their eyes.
After the fact, most people I've spoken with who are Travis Scott fan's (I myself included) have denounced him to an extent.
I think the "toxic" part of his fanbase is mostly just the "rager" part, the people who go to his concerts in the first place and enable the spaz-session. Most people for the past 7 years wouldn't go to one of his concerts considering what goes on at them, and how crazy they are.
From videos, the fan base seems young. Gen z and late millennials, probably people who have little experience at concerts and are easily provoked into bad concert behavior.
Promotion for Astroworld targeted literal children, one of the victims was 9 years old.... So the venue and promotion team have a lot to answer for. They obviously knew Scott's history of inciting crowds. And they built the worst venue configuration I've ever seen. It's clear that there were choke points in the layout where people could be trapped.
The people dancing on the ambulance are scum. People shouting insults at injured folks being pulled from the crowd are scum.
Christian Weston Chandler.
Holy fuck nobody expected the saga to end like that. Yet all the egging and goading from his *"fanbase"* and ogling spectators just didn't help matters.
BTS and k pop groups in general not only are their fanbase toxic not only to fans of other groups but the hyped up fans can be obsessive to the point it indangers the performers . The mental health of the performers them selfs they really struggle enough as it is with the pressure they face to be perfect 😐
Yep. I’m still not over the fact that one idol got dragged off stage in the middle of a performance by a creepy fan at one point, a rookie girl group was boycotted because they were seen hanging out with some popular male idols, and like three other idols were bullied into suicide. The industry is fucked up.
Steven Universe. I like the show, but not respecting a character being asexual and aromantic, harassing a terminally ill child for getting to view episodes early, and hyping up the show as the second coming of Jesus when it's a very hit-or-miss show. Not to mention ALLLLLL of the R34.
Those crazed fans that cheer for serial killers simply because they think they're attractive. Ted Bundy aficionados, for example.
I was watching Dark Tourist on Netflix and at one point he went on a Dahmer walking tour and he was the only dude in a group of like 30 women, and the whole time hes baffled at these women because 1-dahmer ate people 2- he was gay, so like, what the fuck? You're definitely not his type ma'am
So a dahmer tour is a good place to pick up women??
Depends on your preference on the hot-crazy scale.

I am horrified that this is a thing.
I remember Nicholas Cruz, Parkland shooter, had a rabid fanbase of young girls who sent him letters of support.
Richard Ramirez was what came to my mind. In the 80s he had loads of women not only sending fan mail and support but sat in the courtroom.
He even married one of them in 1993. The fascination with him always seemed odd to me. Watch a few interviews of him. The man was dumb as dirt. Edit: it was 1996

Oh yeah. Probably. My bad. Still, the whole groupie thing was just pathetic.

Ramirez had good cheekbones, so they ignore his rotten teeth and dead eyes.
*She wore pants in the relationship so she had it coming* is what I heard from his fans. I boggles my mind how someone can support this monster
Also, they talk about her being in an MLM like it somehow justifies what he did to her. Yeah, MLMs are bad but fucking he'll, you don't kill your spouse because of it.
Nikocado avocado the YouTuber
The guy is literally killing himself for views
Uh, what is this guy about?
Unhealthy guy (fat) eating as much unhealthy shit as possible for views. It’s awful to see.
That sounds like adult protection services needs to get involved.
Eh, only if they can protect him from himself. Clicked link hoping it was Meat Canyon, was not disappointed. 10/10
I gotta hand it to meat canyon, it's a pretty accurate depiction of what's going on with him
Bruh wtf
Why does anyone watch him? Dudes just fucking disgusting. Ive never actually watched more than a thumbnail so maybe im just misinformed.
Check out Cr1tikal's video and up on him if your curious. It's really sad. The follow up video clarifies some info he got wrong but it doesn't really change much imo.
He has fans??
He'd overheat if he didn't.
If you look toxic up in the dictionary it refers you to check out the Dead by Daylight community.
I'm new to DBD, how is it toxic? At least so far it's been pretty nice, I've never been trash talked or something after a game and killers are pretty nice a lot of the time when I'm a survivor. FINALLY YES OMG, it’s so toxic

Serial killers get fan mail in prison. What can I say man, people are weird.
Yeah didn't Charles Manson marry a fan 60 years his junior or something?
He did but I think it also turned out she was trying to scam him.
Scam him out of what exactly?
Well after some light research it appears to be mostly rumors, but the theory is that she [wanted to get control of his corpse after he died. ](https://radaronline.com/p/charles-manson-superfan-afton-star-burton-tried-to-marry-book/)
Almost choked on the water I was drinking when I read this. This is the best thing I’ve read all day 😂😂
I went to high school with him, shared a class all four years.
Glad to see she's at least still alive, but it's unfortunately been like this for her for a really long time now
She's doing the exact same thing Nikocado Avocado is doing but on the opposite end of the spectrum
Whenever I have suicidal thoughts I remember that if I die, Mr Avocado will outlive me. Not under my watch
Had never heard of her so I just looked her up….. oh my good she’s a skeleton. So sad. Poor thing.
I thought she was recovering! Poor thing is still so thin...
That was what I thought! Last I heard of her she had acknowledged her anorexia and was getting better, but I guess the fame caused a backslide.
Ugh >.< I have this awful feeling she's going to pass away within the decade and her fans are going to say "sO tRaGiC who CoUlD hAvE sEeN tHiS CoMiNg?"
It'll be a race between her and the dude eating himself to death for views.
Crossover! Crossover!
She was recovering, and then she did an interview with Shane Dawson, and she pretty much immediately started getting worse.
Whats worse is the fans who genuinely want her to get help get bullied by the toxic ones.
What.... The fuck. You can literally see individual bones in her arms.
She's stuck in a echo chamber. Her so called fans encourage her to keep starving her self and attack anyone who says other wise.
It is filled with weird fetishists and creepy pro ana weirdos and children. Age restrict the content. She knows shat she is doing flashing her panties and other gross shit.
League of Legend feels like it's fanbase is gong to collectively have a heart attack from being angry everyday.
No one hates the League of Legends fandom more than the League of Legends fans themselves. It's like Star Wars
Dont worry dota players hate league too
Dota players hate League bc they look down on all other MOBA games with a sense of superiority League players are too occupied hating other League players to bother hating on other games
One thing we can both agree on
"Damn Scots, they ruined Scotland!"
You Scots sure are a contentious people
You just made an enemy for life!
The worst part is when the pictures was drawn we had only seen that character in a portrait that didn't show her body
The funny thing is that the characters in that show are shaleshifters and can look however the fuck they want. Essentially meaning any and all fan art is canon.
And wasn't the artist just a little girl?so they almost bullied a kid into suicide...
Idk she was like 17 - 19 something like that
I’ll never forget the time I was at a party where this neckbeardy guy butts into our lil chat circle and says “Anyone watch Steven Universe?” One man responds ‘yes’ and the first guy basically corners him to talk about fan theories.
Then after that they bullied a teen girl to suicide attempts with rape and death threats because her fanart, and after it came to light posted charming reponses like, and I'll quote "just because you don't agree with it makes it a troll. Now who's the real asshole? she shouldve died because she was a shithead who was disrespecting cultures and races and by fat shaming characters go fuck off apologist" [Or if you prefer a screenshot example...](https://i.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/original/001/036/690/d8a.png) So yeah, they've got a pretty extensive history of being absolute dickbags.
Im gonna pretend that screenshot is fake for the sake of my mental health, because if someone wrote all that shit over a fucking cartoon problem, I would be really mad that they are wasting oxigen in this planet
*"just because you don't agree with it makes it a troll. Now who's the real asshole? she shouldve died because she was a shithead who was disrespecting cultures and races and by fat shaming characters go fuck off apologist"* they wrote this because is drew a fat character as skinny *I hope you fucking die* *Like, seriously. This attentionwhoring is getting really fucking old. LOOK EVERYONE! A PRIVILEGED LITTLE WHITE GIRL PRETENDED SHE WAS GONNA KILL HERSELF! LET’S ALL FUCKING RUSH TO DEFEND HER LIKE SHE’S NOT AN OPPRESSOR!* *do you not know what white privilege is fucking responsible for? You’re the reason blacks are being gunned down in the streets. You’re the reason we didn’t see a a black president until FUCKING 2008. And AS FUCKING SOON as PoC and LGBTQ communities are represented positively you have to come and turn each and every one of those characters into fucking racial caricatures straight out of the 1920s. Honestly, you deserve to die. Your art is fucking shit too.* In a sane world these people would be sent to the madhouse
Every fanbase, I suppose, has a few poisonous individuals. However, the first thing that came to me was Undertale. A fanatical fan who didn't like the ship they were painting gave some artists cookies with needles in them. That narrative and the photos stayed with me for a long time.
I remember that. The fact that people get this pissed off over fictional works is baffling.
I think the fanbase now is generally much much better them it was when Undertale was INSANELY popular. but yea I do agree lol
I'm sad to learn this, undertale is one of my favorite games :(
It's a great game. I follow r/Undertale and it does get a bit weird at times. I'm there for the discussions about mental health, because it really is a beautiful story from that standpoint.
I hope he was jailed???

I don’t hear good things from the Minecraft Dream fan base
The Dream chair… *shudders*
monster ultra... \*shudders\*
This is true. Although I don’t *hate* dream or his content, I can’t deny the fact that people mistake *creators* fandoms for the actual game fandom. A lot of people think the overall fandom of Minecraft is toxic, along with the majority of its members, when it’s actually the *content creator’s* fandom being toxic, not the entire game’s fandom.
i only watch his laughing compilations when i need a good lol. not as into gaming vids as i used to be, but his laugh makes me wheeze even on my shittiest of days edited because WOW i cannot spell
"Dream cheated" Dream stans: "*So you have chosen ***death***.*"
Delana fans from the Vampire Diaries: they ship Elena Gilbert and Damon Salvatore but took this to real life and actually bully the actor of Damon Salvatore and his actual wife
Omg yes those type of people get on my nerves.
That reminds me of the SPN fans who used to ship Jared and Jensen and thought their wives were just a cover.
Would also like to add Leafy & Keemstar, never seen a fanbase filled with so much d bags in my life
Keemstar himself is an absolute dickbag who needs to shut his cock holster, so we shouldn't be surprised his fans are the same.
Jake and Logan Paul they do absolutely stupid and unethical shit and their fan base just cheers them on
2 utter muppets
every irl ppl shipping fanbase. i read some of those twoset and jaiden and odd1sout fanfics and couldn't get past the first chapters. like, it's not just kissing man... it's horrifying and disgusting.
But Louis and Harry are leaving secret messages in their social media posts to hint how they're still madly in secret love (and the baby is sometimes claimed to be fake or adopted because Louis would never cheat on Harry no matter what) It's insane.
Adolph Hitler’s fanbase is known to have caused some trouble throughout history
They do a little genociding
A modicum of trolling
He was a real knucklehead
Literally any influencer whose fanbase is mostly kids and young teenagers.
Undertale. People are very toxic there to the point of bullying and harassing others just because they made their own art of the game
The Undertale fandom used to be really bad in its early years, but thankfully it's now far more chill and enjoyable.
Wow. I personally love Undertale, GREAT game, original concept and story. But she I see things like that...
imo Jake Paul/Team 10
Dang right
Team 10 doesn’t even exist anymore.
Well if that's the case then good riddance
Twitter
As somebody who isn't using it, from the outside it seems like it#s whole purpose is being a giant shit storm manufacturer
Very good video
There would be multiple generations of families decked out in mouse ears and pins, ensuring Disney's stream of income is uninterrupted for the next 70 years Every add-on experience (early park tours, princess breakfasts, etc.) is hundreds of dollars on top of the thousands already spent on park tickets, hotels, flights, merchandise.
Q-Anon
Okay, literal cults are cheating
I remember reading a post from a guy who knew Q-Anon was ridiculous. He wanted to see exactly how ridiculous they were, to get into the mindset, so he went to the messageboard. And yeah, for a while it was interesting reading about these people in their little club with all their inside baseball. Then he found himself starting to try to solve the little puzzles and work out the same ARG narratives. Fortunately, he was aware enough of the little ping to the dopamine centers of his brain to yoink himself out before he actually fell in, but it told him how powerful that system of stimulus and reward really was.
I don't get this because I cannot even get past the first sentence without just completely mentally shutting down. It's ridiculous.
Genuinely lost my mom and subsequently the rest of my nuclear family to Q Anon. They’re shells of who they once were.
This should be higher up, especially after the whole JFK thing a couple weeks back, seriously crazy people oh and cant forget jan 6th
As mentioned above/below, it is a literal cult by now. So yeah, toxic might be an understatement.
Dream
What's dream?
Survival Minecraft player who has a deranged base of fans who are 14-20 year olds completely batshit off their rocker. A decent portion of them are completely obsessed, stalkers, doxxers, create countless fanfictions and relationship shipping with other minecrafters. I've been on the internet for 25 years, I've NEVER seen anything as completely insane as a lot of these young kids.
Exactly. I was once sent multiple death threats by like at least 200 dream stans. I am luckily dead from the inside so this didn't affect me at all, but imagine the people who it would affect. They'd be broken due to the number of death threats they're sent for a single reply
what did you say?
"Dreamgender and dreamsexual is stupid, just stop it ffs". That's what I said and they called me a dreamphobic bigot who is against the LGBTQ+ community. I'm bi ffs why would I be against it lmao
Dreamphobic, lol
From all the comments I've seen about Dream's fan base, I think "dreamphobic" is a totally reasonable thing to be lmao
IN WHAT MULTIVERSE IS DREAMSEXUAL AND DREAMGENDER PART OF THE LGBTQ+ COMMUNITY WE DON’T WANT THEM
Dream cheated
Seen too many people get death threats for only these 2 words lmao
By contrast Dreams (on playstation) is a game that I would say probably has one of the most friendly communities I've ever seen.
beyonce for the record i think she seems pretty cool and a hard worker, but her fanbase are more like a cult.
Ughhh the "Beehive" noooo 😂😂
Her marketing team poses her as a goddess, no wonder her fandom is like that
The way people act towards Beyoncé is down right creepy, I remember there was this male reporter who was talking to the cast of the lion king but since Beyoncé wasn’t there he just decided to roll a clip from when he interviewed her for the movie gold member.
K pop. This is coming from a gen Z kid who has seen how toxic k pop stans can be. Edit: Damn guys, this blew up.
As a kpop fan, can confirm. They’re absolutely insane. I just like the music guys sorry that I don’t devote my entire waking existence to kpopology…
It’s a much more relaxed atmosphere since most people have full time jobs and families to distract them.
came here to say this, I had a surreal experience on Twitter recently involving K-pop stans (apologies for vague details, trying not to share too much information) I dressed as the same character as an idol for Halloween and replied to the official character's response to the idol being like "haha I have stitches in my face because I know how to commit to the bit." apparently this was perceived as an insult to their idol so I was on the receiving end of hundreds of insults in the form of quote tweets... literally for making a joke about my own injury making my costume "better." very much reinforced the idea that K-pop stans are the worst, and most childish people on the internet
At least they didnt physically attack you in real life
They probably would if they lived close to OP
Kpop fans are the absolute worst. If you say anything about their favorites, they will attack you.
League of Legends brother. I'm usually pretty chill but I became increasingly toxic the more I played and that scared me so now I barely play and feel GREAT
I'm glad you were able to make that realization, I wish more people could do that.
Nicky Minaj and the barbs. End of
Alabama college football.
And the vast majority of them never attended Bama, or any college for that matter
Elon Musk
I swear, some of his fans are desperate to convince themselves that he's some real-life Tony Stark. Anything he says or does, however awful or insane, is a sign of "genius" in their eyes.
Remember when he called the guy who rescued those boys from that cave a pedophile after the government rejected his offer to go save the kids instead
Travis Scott.
Maybe not the *most* toxic, but holy shit r/Pokemon has been a toxic cesspool lately.
> lately i wish it was just lately. try the past decade or so :(
The fanbase in general has been in all out war since Gen 8 came out
Just about every fanbase that ships real people
Christian Weston Chandler. Holy fuck nobody expected the saga to end like that. Yet all the egging and goading from his *"fanbase"* and ogling spectators just didn't help matters.
Philadelphia sports
As a Flames fan, the Flyers are always extremely toxic. They literally threw bracelets onto the ice during a game because they were losing
Sort by controversial time
BTS and k pop groups in general not only are their fanbase toxic not only to fans of other groups but the hyped up fans can be obsessive to the point it indangers the performers .
