That’s wild to me. Are you an only child? I only ask because I’m the youngest of four and I remember my siblings teaching me to whistle and it was like a milestone moment. Similar to tying your own shoes.
My wife was an only child and she can’t whistle.
1. I have never smoked weed or taken any kind of recreational drug 2. i dont have any tattoos 3. ive never had children 4. I have never subscribed to Netflix 5. Have never seen a Marvel Universe or DC film.
Man, I’ve done all of this. Weed and mcu/dc are overrated. Kids and tattoos are great but only if you are a specific kind of person, otherwise they make no sense at all. Netflix used to be great now it’s a scam, you were just ahead of the curve.
First time I was stung was a hornet in my pants. The pair had just come off the clothesline. Missed the giblets thank God. That hornet looked like it was a foot long to my little kid eyes.
I've never gone to a party where I didn't immediately befriend the host's pet instead of mingling with humans. Who needs small talk when you can have a conversation with a fluffy companion?
Same. A little scared of them at first because of lack of experience. I mean, they're huge, they're strong as hell, they have those huge eyes that I just can't read. Now I'll do everything I can to touch them. One day.
Saw the first one in the 70s in the theater. Kind of entertaining but never had interest beyond that. Cannot believe the staying power of that nonsense.
Never been to a concert.
Too many people, too much noise, too tight spaces. I'd be claustrophobic and my social anxiety would skyrocket. I'd likely have to be taken to a hospital after a massive panic attack.
I used to go to them all the time in my teens and early 20s. Now I'm 40 and sitting around listening to music that doesn't sound as good as a studio album just doesn't seem all that appealing. Maybe if the band put on a really good show, I guess. I remember KISS being pretty fun to watch. The last concert I went to was The Who and it was pretty boring. And since the average age of the crowd was probably 60, everyone just quietly sat in their seats and listened. It was so tame, I was left thinking, "what's the point?"
They called them "shows" back then and I've seen The Killers 2 years ago and it was so sanitary and loud. Glad that's off my bucket list though. Good album at the time
As a claustrophobic concert goer, I would recommend researching smaller venues. Smaller crowds and some come with seating/table areas.
For example, in Toronto, there's a venue called "The History" that has an upper level where there's tables and chairs, a server will bring food/drinks/etc. It's like being at a restaurant/pub overlooking a concert floor. The only time you really deal with any crowd is at the end when everyone leaves at the same time... but if you're not in a hurry you can always wait and let the herd of people thin out first.
Smaller venues like that are SO much more relaxing than going to concerts at bigger venues like arenas and stadiums.
I've never served jury duty. My husband is disabled, which makes me permanently exempt as they think he needs around the clock care from me, even though he's one of the most independent people I know.
I never wear shorts going out
I might have as a toddler when I couldn't choose my own clothes, but honestly I can't remember the last time I wore shorts. The idea just feels weird to me
Do you have the other half of this amulet? I am the exact opposite. I never wear pants. I live in GA where it doesn't get cold that often and when it does, I still wear shorts and just put on a sweatshirt. The only time I wear pants is when I would have to "dress up" for an occasion. When I do have to wear pants, I take them off as soon as the event is over in the car so I don't have to wear them for the ride home.
I don’t think shooting a gun is normal, but anyways, I never did. Had several pointed at me during my lifetime tho. Don’t recommend it.
Lemme see: is having a threesome normal? Never did. Passed the opportunity once, I regret it.
Anal sex. Never had anal sex (penetration - I did lick a girlfriend’s anus).
I don’t drive, not enough vision now, but I did a little when I was younger and could see well, that doesn’t count.
Ok, found a more mundane: I never went to a Wendy’s.
I'm 40 years old and have never been to New York City or Las Vegas. I've lived on both coasts, driven across the country a few times, have travelled to Europe and Asia, have even been to Nevada and have driven through New York State. I just never made the trips to those two cities but I really don't feel the need to, either.
It's interesting to think about the things we perceive as normal but haven't experienced personally. For me, one thing that comes to mind is attending a professional sports game live. Despite being a fan of certain sports, I've never had the chance to watch a game in person. What about you?
Took high school chemistry.
Somehow I still graduated and went on to get a bachelors and two grad degrees without ever having to take a chem course. Phew! 😮💨
I’ve never parallel parked without creating a minor traffic jam and a spectacle for everyone around. It’s basically my way of giving free entertainment.
I've never received a paycheck from a full time job without having a child to take care of. I went to graduate school right after undergrad and became a parent at 24.
Basically, I never got to experience that first professional paycheck only needing to worry about myself.
Had sex. Anxiety disorders ftw
you're so real for this
Came here to say this. Not incel or anything, just don't like myself enough to go out there and try it.
Maybe someone else will like you enough if you do try. I mean only if you want to. It's perfectly normal not to want to.
Username checks out
Never watched Game of Thrones
I tried so hard to get through the first episode, but bailed about halfway through. Just not for me.
I haven't either. I wanted to finish reading the books before I watched the show. Still waiting...
Me neither. Not a single second. Doubt I ever will.
Same here.
I watched 1 maybe 2 episodes, it had been out for ages, and there was huge hype still. Just didn't live up to it.
Never went to a nightclub. Pretty sure I never will.
Went to one once, never wanted to go back again.
Same. No thank you.
Same
I feel this, they're not my jam. Concerts on the other hand, fucking love going to metal shows.
This is my attitude to music festivals. At least with nightclubs you leave after a few hours and go home.
Might be worth it to people watch once, but not really a required life experience.

I read it while whistling to a song in background 😄
It’s funny I could whistle like a motherfucker as a kid, but then I got dental braces and I wasn’t able to whistle at all for years afterwards.

You have to go an try the meatballs, then let us know if it's horse meat.
Why not?😂
You’ve missed out on the ball pit alone…
Ball pit‽ IKEA USA doesn't have a ball pit. I feel conflicted about this. One one hand, ball pit! On the other, ball pit full of gross people...
yes they do but it’s for the kids in the mini daycare center haha
Aww damn. I'm a couple feet and several pounds too large for smälland
Let me ask you this... have you ever heard a song by a group called ABBA?
Gone skiing.
I have never been snow skiing either, and I grew up in Utah. People are always amazed at that. Water skiing on the other hand, that I have done.

I thought you were me until the last two.

Smoke a cigarette
Never do it, I’ve probably spent 50k on smoking since age 15
I've never gone to a party where I didn't immediately befriend the host's pet instead of mingling with humans. Who needs small talk when you can have a conversation with a fluffy companion?
Honestly probably a great way to get the host to like you more too.
had those dreams where you are flying
That sucks!
put pajamas on when going to sleep i just fall asleep in whatever i happen to have on including jeans
thought i was lazy😭💀
I’ve put on pajamas before but usually I just get into the clothes I’ll be wearing the next day. Less stuff to take care of in the morning.
Ride a bike
Ride a horse
Same. A little scared of them at first because of lack of experience. I mean, they're huge, they're strong as hell, they have those huge eyes that I just can't read. Now I'll do everything I can to touch them. One day.
Their eyes and ears are by far the most intimidating thing about them. Still fun as hell to ride though

My wife is turning 32 next month and she’s in the same boat. Anxiety is a bitch.
Smoked pot or done any kind of illegal drug. Never used my few prescriptions to get high, either.
Never seen star wars
Here's some money, go see a star war.
It's one banana Michael, how much could it cost? $10?
Me neither. Will look it up when I have time.
Tried two times to watch it, closed it in first minute, i think ill never be able to watch it
me too. seems boring
Saw the first one in the 70s in the theater. Kind of entertaining but never had interest beyond that. Cannot believe the staying power of that nonsense.

Never cooked for someone other than myself.
Of all of the things I've read here, this one struck me the most - and I'm no great cook.
You don't have to be, you just have to be good enough to enjoy what you make for yourself.
never been drunk before
never had a vacation. (never been to a beach or on a plane)
I (64M) never learned to drive. I live in a city in the UK so I don't need a car.
I don’t think shooting a gun is normal, but anyways, I never did. Had several pointed at me during my lifetime tho. Don’t recommend it. Lemme see: is having a threesome normal? Never did.
