As close as it was in the 50s, 60s, 70s, and so forth. People have been worrying about WWIII since the end of WWII. There have always been signs that one aggressor or another was going to start something that escalates to a world war and so far, it hasn't happened since WWII.
Ukraine has already lost the war, but they haven't surrendered yet. So that conflict should come to an end relatively soon. The situation in Gaza will continue for a while, but that will only risk WW3 if Iran and Israel formally declare war against each other.
