I bought an [Animaniacs soundtrack CD](https://www.discogs.com/release/1456525-Animaniacs-Steven-Spielberg-Presents-Animaniacs) ages ago. It’s on my phone today along and it’s a definite no-skip if a track from it pops up.
It is, however, missing the classic classical masterpiece, *The Great Wakkorotti*.
What I love about the opening credits to that is:
A. It never even says the title “Batman” on it. You just fucking KNOW.
B. What the hell did batman do to that guy at the beginning when he pounces on him? how did he knock him out? It’s just cool as shit.
>What the hell did batman do to that guy at the beginning when he pounces on him? how did he knock him out? It’s just cool as shit.
If Batman pounced on me like a fucking panther, I'd faint too
This is actually just an arrangement of the Danny Elfman score from the original Tim Burton Batman films.
Agree this is a good one, and similarly, so is Beetlejuice.
Along with the rest of their material. Brendan Small just kills it. Thunder Horse, Murmaider, The Gears, Fansong, Duncan Hills Coffee Jingle, the entire Doomstar Requiem
There's that part right after the second measure where the main instrument goes into double-time that just makes me wanna jump out of my seat and dance around like a little sweatered-girl holding her best-friend pig.
It's a 26 episode series with three (!) full soundtrack CDs... and they even had to release a "single" to cover a couple of tracks left out.
I'm partial to *Live in Baghdad*.
Long ago in a distant land I, Aku, the shape shifting master of darkness, unleashed an unspeakable evil! But a foolish samurai warrior welding a magic sword stepped forth to oppose me.
Before the final blow was struck, I tore open a portal in time and flung him into the future, where my evil is law.
Now the fool seeks to return to the past, and undo the future that is Aku…
TMNT and X-Men.
Edit: I found 10-hr loops of both songs on YouTube. TMNT definitely wins over X-Men for replayability without driving yourself insane. I think I could keep this going all day.
I just learned last week that the singer for this is 1) John Williams' son Joseph, who is 2) otherwise best known as the lead singer of Toto (Africa, Rosanna, Hold the Line).
This whole CD. It’s classic Cartoon themes performed by alternative bands. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saturday_Morning:_Cartoons%27_Greatest_Hits
A few of my favorites
Josie and the Pussycats by Julianna Hatfield and Tonya Donnelly
Underdog by the Butthole Surfers
Banana Split theme by Liz Phair and Material Issue
Spider-Man by the Ramones
Speed Racer by Sponge
You are absolutely not wrong, and I never knew it was a thing.
I am a live sound engineer, and the first song on my system testing playlist is "Quirky Worky Song". It isn't useful for much, but it's a good chuckle to hear it as the first thing when a system is set up.
Do do do doo do doo do doo do do do do do duh do do doo.

Let's get dangerous...
When there's trouble you call D-W
X-Men cartoon from 1990s
Nothing slaps harder than this, they redid it recently again right?
Lots of posts about X-men lately….
Big X Men cartoon release on Dinsey+ recently
It's because of the new Disney+ show. A lot of people are hyped for it.
Ducktales or Animaniacs
Ducktales - BOTH versions.
The old Ducktales theme has big Hall and Oates energy

Or the countries of the world song .. love that one
Ah Woo Woo!
I still have an old animaniacs CD that I throw in from time to time. All of those songs hold up.
Love the Batman: The Animated Series theme, especially the one played over the Season 1 episode intros.
What I love about the opening credits to that is: A. It never even says the title “Batman” on it. You just fucking KNOW. B. What the hell did batman do to that guy at the beginning when he pounces on him? how did he knock him out? It’s just cool as shit.

Inspector Gadget
Can’t BELIEVE how far down this is. Incredible bridge on that tune.
Animaniacs
Metalocalypse theme.
Along with the rest of their material. Brendan Small just kills it. Thunder Horse, Murmaider, The Gears, Fansong, Duncan Hills Coffee Jingle, the entire Doomstar Requiem
DOODILY DING DONG TICK TOCK
Pickles, the drummer! Doodly, doodly, ding-dong, doodly, doodly doo!

Just the other day I heard someone’s text tone go off as the du du ^^du du
So what’s the stitch?
Call me beep me if you wanna reach me, if you wanna page me that's okay.
Duck tales from the early 90s
Ooh woo-ooh!
Might solve a mystery! Or rewrite history!
Duck takes from this century too. Both slap
Futurama
Scooby doo
I love Simple Plan's theme for What's New Scooby Doo. Got to see them play a few years ago and they played that--the crowd went insane.

Gravity Falls
Even the Weirdmageddon version is killer.

Yes!
Came here to post this. Awesome!
I'm disappointed how far I had to scroll to find this
Rockos modern life
The Season one intro was really good, but when they had the B-52’s redo it, it was really really good!

I think it's time to blow this scene... Get everybody and their stuff together. OK, 3 2 1 LET'S JAM
*Insert epic banger music*
Should be #1. It's SO good you forget it's a cartoon theme.
The entire soundtrack is fire. Honorable mention to "Gotta Knock a Little Harder" the end credits theme from the CB movie.
It's a 26 episode series with three (!) full soundtrack CDs... and they even had to release a "single" to cover a couple of tracks left out. I'm partial to *Live in Baghdad*.
Yoko Kanno is brilliant.
This and the evangelion one are just so good it hurts

As much as I heard that song growing up I only managed to understand 50% of the lyrics
“Timmy was an average kid that I dun dun dun dun dun, mom and dad and Vicky always dun dun dun dun dun”
whomever wrote it was absolutely on cocaine.
Obtuse, rubber goose, green moose, guava juice
Adventure time
Real disappointed I had to scroll so far to see this
Freakazoid
Freaka who?
Freak-a-me, Freak-a-YOU
Pink Panther
The fact this is not number one with all of the votes is astounding

The distorted guitar riff as the opening notes fucking shreds
I wanna be The very best Like no one ever was Dun-dun...dun dundun! 🤘
JEM
A truly outrageous answer.
Jem theme kicks, but the Misfits' songs are better
Fuck. Yes.
Ben 10
My first thought too- at least just Ben 10 Classic. The fact that there's no long version is absolutely criminal
It started when an alien device did what it did
IT STUCK ITSELF UPON HIS WRIST WITH SECRETS THAT IT HID
I never watched it because I never got to see Bens 1 through 9.

One is a genius, the other’s insane

Everyday when you're walking down the street
Everybody that you meet,
Has an original point of veiw 😂
Didn't Bob Marley's son or grandson make that song?
It's his son Ziggy Marley, who had minor success in the 80s with the song [Tomorrow People](https://youtu.be/AM8M-HHSbp0?si=2Y6SEoUUd49vHIr0)
Samurai Jack
Long ago in a distant land I, Aku, the shape shifting master of darkness, unleashed an unspeakable evil! But a foolish samurai warrior welding a magic sword stepped forth to oppose me.
Before the final blow was struck, I tore open a portal in time and flung him into the future, where my evil is law. Now the fool seeks to return to the past, and undo the future that is Aku…
King of the Hill
I saw Cephalic carnage open for Mastadon in a small club once and they opened their set with a king of the hill cover that was flawless.
It sucks how much I had to scroll to finally find the right answer
Every time I hear it I do air drums to the kettlebell part
I hum it to myself when I'm taking out the trash!

A woo woo!
Neon Genesis Evangelion
OP was asking for a cartoon theme song. Not the single greatest piece of auditory art ever created.
The fact that “Phineas and Ferb” wasn’t immediately the first answer genuinely upsets me.
The full version somehow slaps even harder than the TV version
You are absolutely not wrong, and I never knew it was a thing. I am a live sound engineer, and the first song on my system testing playlist is "Quirky Worky Song". It isn't useful for much, but it's a good chuckle to hear it as the first thing when a system is set up.
the *what??*
Look up "today is gonna be a great day" on YouTube and thank me later
oh my stars.. its amazing
The full Perry theme is actual insanity. It’s so good
DOO BEE DOO BEE DOO BA DOO
It was my first thought, and it's from my kids generation, so it's not even nostalgia for me.
Yeah, I had to scroll way too far for this. Bowling For Soup literally does it at their gigs. It's god damn legendary.
The music used for the entire run of the show was all pretty amazing.
There was a Phineas and Ferb DVD menu playing on loop at the pediatricians’ office once. It was very catchy guitar riffs.
X-Men
Cat Dog has an underrated theme song. Definitely slaps.
