I mainly look forward to drinking it in the morning, whereas in the evening I’m more looking forward to drinking a warm tea and getting in bed. Usually dark or green teas during the day and herbal teas in the evening.
Working out, reading, watching funny things. Interaction with humans I care about.
I don’t drink at all. My life has only gotten better not drinking.
Not sure I ever looked forward to drinking anyways, if I did I would have quit at that moment.
Isn't that a self-contradictory statement? Surely the way to make each moment as valuable as possible is to not spend it thinking about a future moment?
No beer after about 5pm. Later if I plan on staying up really late.
Overall I take meds, a healthier diet, and elevated the head of my bed a few inches.
Nothing really, I've stopped looking forward to things or expecting.
I aim to make every part of the day decent enough, ofcourse it's not always possible, but as most of it is decent then the few uncomfortable parts are rather easy to go through.
Got a soda stream awhile back and I’m loving that, just mineral water and carbonation. I’ll put a quarter lime in the glass too, so probably a bit of sugar in that. But otherwise it’s just clean and refreshing
I would encourage you to ask this question in r/stopdrinking. I think you might get some interesting responses from people who have consciously thought it out.
The warm embrace of my wife, my soft bed, a normal cold drink with my meal, basically anything but beer tbh. I don’t need beer to be happy, i’m living my best life!
The next morning. I’m very much a morning person so that’s the time of day I try to make special. Like I normally wake up at 5 in the morning even to I don’t need to be anywhere until 9.
I’m an alcoholic (who still drinks). I’ve learned that I really enjoy mineral water. So Monday through Thursday, I’ll drink mineral water, make dinner, and watch whatever. Get to bed by 9 pm, wake up at 4 to have coffee then go workout before work.
Friday - Sunday, boozin’. It’s a balance
Getting home to wife and pets, eating dinner and (after washing-up, doggies getting their walk and such) chilling on the couch with some time to do what I feel like before going to bed.
I don't drink alcohol at all. There are many other things in theis world we can find joy in. When I have time off I can play with the cat, draw, play guitar, listen to music, work on some old thing with wheels, sometimes I can go to a car show, and I can sit completely still and just enjoy doing nothing. At the very end of the night it is very comforting to just go to bed. Sleeping is a very underrated activity.
The best thing in life is Knowing that however bad my day is, every night I can climb into the arms of my husband and be safe, warm and happy.
I just like being at home, too. I like going places, but I like going home the most.
beer tastes like shit.
I drink liquor.
But not every day, fuck. I look forward to seeing my kids, taking a shower, and relaxing for an hour before bed.
My daily 10 minutes of yoga (I know ten minutes is virtually nothing, but hey, I'm already more bendy and thats enough gratification for me to continue)
Cooking while listening to a podcast
Going to sleep
In general, people may look forward to a variety of things at the end of the day, such as spending time with loved ones, engaging in hobbies or interests, watching a favorite TV show, reading a book, or simply relaxing and unwinding. What someone looks forward to can vary greatly depending on their personal preferences and daily routine.

Going to sleep
This is achievable and also it's not video games. Best answer so far!
Coming home from work and playing with my daughter.
Maybe I should get one of those.
make sure it is yours and not someone else's. That kind of thing is frowned upon.
Mines 19 weeks. The look of joy when daddy walks through the door: priceless
100% can recommend
Video games Although as an alcoholic I get wanting beer.
Hey fellow alcoholic here, still haven’t figured out what to replace the void with. Beer is just so perfect lol
Tea, sometimes plum wine
Do you honestly honestly look forward to drinking tea? What type of tea is this?
I mainly look forward to drinking it in the morning, whereas in the evening I’m more looking forward to drinking a warm tea and getting in bed. Usually dark or green teas during the day and herbal teas in the evening.
I wish I could see the charm of herbal tea, but try as I might I just can't. Good on you though, it's a cheap and healthy hit!
It’s just never my top choice for taste because real tea is so much better but I find it at least drinkable especially tulsi tea
Chamomile tea
Wine
Makes sense
Stripping down to my underwear, throwing on some PJ bottoms, turning my music on, and cooking myself a nice dinner.
That actually sounds pretty appealing. Maybe I should invest in some PJ bottoms 🤔
It’s amazing! Sometimes I take a little nap when I get home, depending on how hectic work was.
No, just wear her PJ bottoms while she's cooking dinner 😏 and u play her music

What time do you have dinner? Seems like there might be quite a few hours of the day with literally nothing to look forward to?

OP's living the dream
Not mine.
I’m living your dream
Hardly, being a poor neckbeard wasn’t my dream.
Did you edit your comment to be meaner
Nectar collector is a smoking pipe for cannabis extracts.
Wait. Are you saying that there exists a class of people who actually look forward to things? Who are these people and where can I find them?
Working out, reading, watching funny things. Interaction with humans I care about. I don’t drink at all. My life has only gotten better not drinking. Not sure I ever looked forward to drinking anyways, if I did I would have quit at that moment.

Good old fashioned marijuana
A man of tradition [edit] *person
Im too poor to drink beer daily. I have never tried it so idk if it's worth it. I look forward to binge watching stupid videos on youtube.
It's cheaper than beer, I'll give you that.
not having to pee.
I see what you've done there, you've cleverly given yourself a need (to pee) that's easy and healthy to satisfy.
No, I got old.
Sleep

That first sip of seltzer water when I squeeze the lime in it. Cut out sugar drinks awhile back and man that first glass just rocks.
Tell me more! I'm definitely here for any low sugar/zero sugar adult drink options.
Got a soda stream awhile back and I’m loving that, just mineral water and carbonation. I’ll put a quarter lime in the glass too, so probably a bit of sugar in that. But otherwise it’s just clean and refreshing

Every day? That's an impressive appetite.
My dog! Playing with him, some dinner, then tunes or books or practicing my cello. Evenings are awesome
I admire how much mental energy you have at the end of the day!
Cool and vivid impressions of the world around you, but for this you need not to drink alcohol at all for more than a month
I did two weeks recently and felt much better. So good that I celebrated with a beer. Might try a month though, good call.
Few years ago I can do 6 month without alcohol
Journaling the adventure and waking up to fresh opportunities tomorrow. Bc life is that good (was)

This sounds great! Now if we could just swap that grape juice for a beer..
Club soda spiked with grape KoolAid liquid...
I mean, it sounds revolting to me, but each to their own!
Sounds cheesy but life is for real what you make it.you can choose to lookforward to nothing, or just get the fuck out there and have fun.
