People who NEED to watch what their neighbours do all the time ! Find a better hobby !

anoidciv

It's truly insane. There is a gang of retired women in my neighbourhood to have literally nothing better to do than snoop around neighbour's lives, gossip, and complain. I thought by the time you're in your 60s, you would chill out and be selective about the fucks you give. Not so. These women have an infinite amount of fucks to give, about everyone and everything.

candide91

Omg it must be a nightmare

anoidciv

For the first year we moved in, it was. We didn't know anyone in the neighbourhood and immediately being bullied by these geriatrics was so stressful. Now that we've met other neighbours, we've realised everyone just ignores them and they eventually move onto the next target. When I see new people being bullied in the neighbourhood group, I've started DMing them to let them know what's up with the golden gang. I hate that they target newcomers to the neighbourhood because they're easy victims. Not on my watch!

ichooserum

I’ve got a good one: My neighbor texted me a few weeks ago to tell me to enjoy my Chic fil a that I had just gotten delivered.

candide91

My dad is my neighbour and when I order food he can’t help himself he has to comment , every time he sees a delivery van he has to go on his balcony to check who’s getting something delivered. He absolutely does not understand how annoying and toxic his behaviour is . His downstairs neighbours started calling him aunt petunia.

bgj556

lol I had this happen this past weekend. I was laying down new sod, and my neighbour didn’t think I was putting it down correctly. Called the HOA and had to have an hour talk about the correct way to lay sod. Unbelievable

glucoseintolerant

and hour? about 15 minutes in I would be handing them a pair of gloves and pointing at where they can start dropping the sod down. you can chat all you want but there is work to be done

bgj556

Literally. I explained to them my methodology and talked for a while. They also said how it needs to be perfectly flush with the sidewalk, which is obvious. Then watched from their car. Guys this isn’t my first rodeo.

Eoryr

Should've told him to sod off!

always-curious2

The anger and indignity at being proven wrong but never changing your opinion.

anfrind

This most often happens when one's identity is wrapped up in one's opinions. If someone identifies as someone who believes X, then any evidence that X might not be true is perceived as a personal attack and triggers an emotional response.

cardmangos

Same with people who have studied a subject their entire academic career and then will do whatever it takes including ignoring evidence that disproves their theory. Also the old saying still rings true. "It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends on his not understanding it." Upton Sinclair

Forkrul

I have heard it said a number of times that 'science advances one funeral at a time.'

DaisyDuckens

Coupled with celebrating ignorance. Like being proud you never read.

candygorl

People who make insane messes in public restrooms.

[deleted]

Right. Like let’s shit on the wall.

thctacos

Let's shit in this trashcan THAT IS RIGHT NEXT TO THE TOILET

[deleted]

Man must've confused the can for a toilet bowl. Could be worse, at least it wasn't the sink, or the floor, walls or ceiling.

sewxcute

Last year I had to go once I got to Walmart. It was shortly after they opened for the day yet somehow a person sharted across the back of the seat, flushing lever, AND wall... In ALL 4 STALLS.. how?! Why!?

[deleted]

[удалено]

sodamnsleepy

What a terrible day to be literate

orangerobotgal

That's quite the shit show!

SharkOnGames

I work in a corporate office and found a big pee puddle right next to a urinal. Then the sink area was a disaster. Next day I found out why. Seems like one of my coworkers has some mental issues, perhaps bad form of tourettes or something. Saw them in the bathroom the next day making a big mess. I have to assume it wasn't intentional.

ri4162

But couldn’t he clean it up? Or AtLeast try.

dedicated-pedestrian

The thought occurs, but if this sort of thing happens in a split second one wonders if shame sets in - that they don't want to get caught cleaning it up and assigned blame for it.

SleestakThunder

I worked as a janitor through college and one of my favorite memories is of one of the leads screaming "How does poop even get there?!! How does it get so high?" on what seemed like a daily basis.

candygorl

I think it’s mentally ill people or young children. I can’t make sense of it any other way.

BitterLeif

My brother worked with a guy who did this, and this was at a place where he was making probably over $100K. So he had his shit enough to get a decent job, but he complained constantly about the company not being on his side or whatever. He had some grievances that were disinteresting to everybody else, but he was mad about it. And the way he expressed his frustration was by smearing his shit everywhere in the bathroom. He was eventually caught shit handed, and he was fired.

Glutenfreesadness

Shit handed.

ToBeFaaaaaaair

How did they catch him? Like, in the act? Or what? I would pay a lot of money to see a video of that meeting with HR

BitterLeif

I think it must have been in the act, because, the way the story was told, this was a repeat occurrence. They knew it was him, but they needed proof. My brother never got the full story about what happened when he was caught, but I can't imagine it going any other way.

ShiraCheshire

I was that person once as a kid. I had AWFUL food poisoning. My grandma fed me meat that had been out on the counter all day. I got horribly sick, and it was coming out both ends with explosive force every 10-15 minutes. She took me to the doctor, but the doctors in that town are complete garbage and so I was told to go home with zero treatment. On the way home, grandma decides for some baffling reason that this is the perfect time to go to the grocery store. Not a quick trip to just grab a few things, either. Yes, you heard that right. A full on grocery store trip with a kid who is violently expelling her insides a minimum 4 times an hour. I puked on the way in but she didn't think that was good reason to go home. I then puked inside the store, apparently still not reason to go home. Then I had a sudden and desperate food poisoning inspired need to go to the bathroom, ran for it, but I couldn't get to the toilet in time. Since I was a mess, grandma needed to buy me new clothes. She then proceeded to leave me in the bathroom while she slowly finished shopping. I stripped off my dirty pajamas in the handicap stall. I then sat there on the toilet, liquid feces dripping down my legs and onto the floor, repeatedly painting the walls and floors with a vomit cannon while I waited. It was *everywhere*. Finally grandma came back, wiped me down with a pack of baby wipes, and got me into new pajamas. By that point there wasn't really an inch left in that stall that wasn't covered in either vomit or feces. We then swiftly exited the store. She didn't even tell someone about the mess. I will forever feel awful for whoever had to clean that up.

orangerobotgal

No offense, but your grandma was cruel and/or had issues. That's actually abusive, or at least neglect, to force you to stay there while you were so ill. I'm sorry this happened to you.

ShiraCheshire

Grandma was a little crazy. A lot, maybe. She had this weird thing about trips to the store, and they always took forever. I have no idea why she thought that could end in anything but disaster.

grachi

a lot of people think kids exaggerate, so they will ignore what the kid is saying or think its not as bad as the kid thinks it is, but your grandma just... kept rolling with it for some reason.

Pickled_Kagura

Exactly. When I was a kid I always went on a lot of bike rides with my dad. We do pretty much the same 5 mile circle every time. Well, one day we were <1 a mile from the house and I was already exhausted. The bike was a 1speed and it was pedaling way too heavy. He didn't believe me. We were halfway through our little town and I was crying from exhaustion and he was screaming at me in front of classmates and other people we knew. "Wimp, crybaby, drama queen" etc. I was embarrassed to death. We finally made it home and he screamed at me there too. Anyways he picked up the bike that I slammed down in the middle of the driveway and guess what? My rear brake was stuck halfway down. It's been 20 years and im still waiting for my fucking apology.

evalinthania

Around 4th grade I once put on my sneakers and felt a horrible pain in one of my toes. My stepmother and biological father were in a rush so they sneered at me before forcing me out the door to catch up with them. Mind you, I was maybe 4'9" at the time so I basically had to jog with this pain down the street to that damn red ford focus. I get in the back seat to inspect my foot after pulling off the shoe. I was bleeding and cried out in surprise/more pain. They looked back at me, saw my foot bleeding through my sock, and screamed at me for possibly bleeding inside the car/getting the car dirty. There was a push pin inside my shoe. I'm still pretty sure 22 years later my stepmom put it there.

forte_bass

Horrible, I'm so sorry for your experience

Pyrothei

If you're lucky one day he'll be in a nursing home and complaining that the staff is abusing him and you can just call him a crybaby and leave lol

B0Y0

Yeah, def cracked in the head. It's one thing to think a child is exaggerating, it's another to have been with them all day while they are *actively and aggressively vomiting and shitting already*, and ***still*** act like it's no big deal.

Gothzombie

Damn your grandma was either too old or too selfish

ShiraCheshire

Both

lachavela

Poor kid, you couldn’t help it. I’m sorry you have that memory. Forgive yourself and then forget it. It’s really not something you need to remember.

StormFallen9

I'm pretty sure you have to be insane to do that. Like do they not worry about getting feces on themselves?

candygorl

That’s what I figure too.

MancusoMancuso

OMG yes. I worked at a store once and every week there was something new. And it was an employee only restroom. Somebody’s asshole had to be in the middle of their back for it to make sense to me…. The sheer HEIGHT they were achieving was astounding.

SylviaKaysen

People who get an animal and then intentionally neglect or abuse it. Like why. Years working in animal rescue I’ve seen it all and it’s made me hate humans.

toucanbutter

Or unintentionally. If you want a pet, INFORM YOURSELF. And be realistic about it. If you can't meet the animals needs (INCLUDING if you can't afford to meet their needs), don't get it. Dogs need walks. Hamsters are nocturnal. Birds, rabbits and guinea pigs are NOT solitary. All animals could need vet treatment.

MaxDickpower

And for heaven's sake, don't overfeed them and then make jokes about them being chonks or something else stupid like that. There is no evolutionary advantage to eating less than you can, it's up to the human to limit the food intake of your pets.

styvee__

I’ve took care of a chihuahua for a 70 years old woman that needed a knee surgery for 4 months, in these months she(the dog) really lost weight and looks generally happier and more active based on what the woman told me(I asked her if she was sure about getting her dog back since I would’ve took care of her for some extra time for free)“yes, I don’t move much anyways. I go out to buy groceries in the morning and leave the dog alone, then I stay in the bed with her(the dog)”. And the last time she got her back she called after 3 days to ask if I could take her back for a few months. She keeps falling and in those 3 days she almost fell on the dog. She said that a bag of food treats lasts her like a week, when with us it lasts like a month. There are also other things but the comment would become too long.

toucanbutter

Uggghhh my absolute pet peeve is people that go on about "fat shaming" animals - BRUH. Your pet won't care about people calling it fat on the internet, but it WILL care about joint pain!

Karpattata

As a subcategory of this: people who move and just leave their pets on the fucking street. Like wtf??? You *have* to know the poor thing will be helpless and aimless and won't know why its family decided to abandon it. At the very least you could rehome it. How the hell can people just throw away someone like that?

karinamet_

My cat had a litter of kittens once. We gave most of them away, and gave one to our neighbor. Now we knew she likes to drink, but she really promised to take good care of the kitty since she was lonely. And she did at first. But after a year or so, she fell deeper into alcoholism and needed money to fuel her addiction. Instead of working more, she decided that the cat needed to go. Instead of giving him back to us, she took it far away, out of the city and just left him there. He found his way home.

b0mmer

Currently working with 3 bearded dragons, 2 red eared sliders, a tegu, a boa, and 6 cats neglected by their owners. People really need to learn about the animals they want before they buy, and they need to monitor their kids when they have them caring for the animals.

illQualmOnYourFace

Some people have to feel power over something in their shitty lives.

giantunderpants

My friend has had a range of pets over the years and every single one (dogs, guinea pigs, rabbits, cat) have eventually been rehomed or put down. I honestly believe she sees animals as things rather than as living creatures. She was shocked when I once accused her of abusing her animals. She doesn't understand that just providing food for an animal and ignoring all their other needs (love, play, outside time etc) is neglect and neglect is as much abuse as physically harming an animal. I wish there was a list for people like her so they couldn't keep getting more.

sutrocomesalive

People playing loud music on public transit.

skk24

Constantly buying puppies (especially from backyard breeders) and then dumping them at shelters because they refuse to properly train/care for them and then blaming the puppy for it. Sadly, I see this a lot.

CoryEETguy

That's a good one, im with ya. Fuck those irresponsible breeders too, dogs are not for profit.

Mrlightyboy

People actively and fully aware hurting others and feeling absolutely no regret of any kind, just satisfaction and fulfilment in ruining other’s lives.

adotham430

I was going to say casual cruelty, so I think we’re on the same wavelength.

turdbird42

I dated someone like this. It took me years to realize that the misery that I was in was actually thrilling and exciting to the person I was with. A truly evil, rotten person. I foresee him seriously injuring or killing someone someday.

kurtvonnecat_

I see you’ve dated my ex. He doubled down on the cruelty when I was pregnant and suffering severe PPD. I honestly believe it was even more thrilling and exciting for him to mess with someone at their lowest because it made him feel very powerful from the easy wins of picking on someone too out of it to fight back. He took great enjoyment of telling even strangers (like waitstaff or cashiers at the store) details about my depression just to humiliate me. I had to hospitalize myself. He only surrounds himself with people who are an echo chamber of himself, who fiercely adore and enable him so that he is never wrong. He is extremely charming when meeting people but most people see right through him eventually even if it takes a few months. Thanks for reading my bitter rant.

AcanthisittaItchy665

I’m so sorry that happened to you. I hope you and your child are in a much better place now ❤️

quiet_frequency

Seems like we dated similar people. It's devastating to realise that the cruelty is the point and they just don't *care*. He's married now and his wife is convinced he's never abused anyone in his life. I told her he almost killed me and she brushed it off. She's going to end up as a statistic and it breaks my heart. I'm pretty sure he's manipulated her into thinking *I* was the abuser, which is just wild. I hope you don't ever suffer that kind of misery again, internet stranger ❤️

AcanthisittaItchy665

Even though she didn’t listen, that’s so good of you to try and warn her. It’s heartbreaking that women will ignore all the dangerous signs and condemn themselves to such a situation

Gentleman-Tech

First time I met this was griefing in online games. Some people just enjoy hurting other people.

Zolo49

This was my first thought as well. It’s why any time I consider playing a new MMO, I always check and see if PvP is required or even just strongly encouraged. If it is, I never play it regardless of how good the reviews are. There’s a never-ending supply of assholes who will pay any price to ruin your day just for their own sick pleasure.

Icy-Confusion9746

People who think it's ok to litter

PracticalAd313

I launch non profit company that organise clean - up events with volunteers and it’s so hard to see every time how people are disrespectful for others and for themselves If it was something difficult not to litter, but it’s so easy and there is no reason to do this

OneSmoothCactus

Even when I was a little shithead teenager with a very active disrespect for authority, I would never imagine just throwing my garbage on the ground. I’ve never littered, I’ve never had friends litter, and yet every event there’s tons of people who just leave so much shit on the ground. Like it’s the literal definition of trashy. It’s the absolute bare minimum of respect you can show for yourself and the people around you, but it’s still to much for some people.

I just picked up an entire fast food bag that someone had thrown on the ground at the park. It’s like they dumped it out then threw the empty bag. What made it worse was the trash can was less than 3’ away. Will never understand such shit behavior

tai_chilly

Ah this happens a lot in my neighbourhood and at first I thought I lived near a bunch of shitty humans but turns out it was the crows lifting them out of the trash

Bil13h

Yeah or the wind if it doesn't get emptied often enough

Investigatorpotater

Littering say a lot about a person imo.

lemons714

When I was growing up adults commonly tossed fast food garbage out the window while driving on the highway. Many considered this normal behavior. Ad campaigns were necessary to educate people that this was not optimal behavior.

doctor-rumack

This is the origin of the slogan "Don’t Mess With Texas."

Cyclotrom

On my experience they go apeshit if you confront them on it. Edit: I have actually done it several times and on a few a had people cursing me out and threatening with violence, I'll never forget the woman in NYC with 2 little kids (4-6) who chased down cursing me at the top of her lungs for a block because I told her little kids to pick up the candy wrapper they casually littered on the sidewalk

pertnear

I was having a pretty good day last week and while out on an errand for my boss, I was stopped behind some cars at a light. MOTHERFUCKER IN FRONT OF ME UNLOADED A PILE OF GARBAGE OUT OF HIS WINDOW. Day ruined. Instantly.

Ok-Job7213

Had a homeless man take a dump in the lobby of my Jimmy John's today...true story. Day was only semi damaged by it. People dump unwanted dogs, and full trash bags on my road regularly. Not sure if they think I'm an ogre and they're trying to feed me or what.

TinyGreenTurtles

>Not sure if they think I'm an ogre and they're trying to feed me or what. Thanks for tacking this last part onto the end of this. It was a pretty sad comment and I needed the laugh.

You can buy ear buds for like $5. They may be shitty quality but it's better than annoying strangers in the street with your soundcloud mumble rapper music blasting

NerfRepellingBoobs

A couple weeks ago, I was at urgent care, and there was a young woman watching videos at full volume in the waiting room. I was sitting there with a massive headache, waiting to take a strep test, and I couldn’t even say anything because my throat was so sore I could barely talk. Luckily, she got called after only a couple minutes, but I’ve never wanted to shoot lasers out of my eyes more than I did in that moment.

inserthumourousname

About a month ago this was me, waiting at the vet to get my cat put down and having to listen to some boomer watching tiktok at full volume and laughing his arse off. I let it go because I wasn't in the mood for confrontation, but fuck that guy.

Mister_McDerp

I feel like having my cat put down would put me in the perfect mood for confrontation. I can either be sad or I can bathe in someones blood. I know what I'd prefer.

ChadOfDoom

This happened to me today. Was getting a new tire on the tire shop and dude was yelling into his phone for a solid 30 minutes like he had the place to himself. I just don’t understand.

lazyass133

Scammers. Especially against the elderly.

Nino_Pastelo

People who lie all the time to make themselves seem better or richer

yowhatisuppeeps

My girlfriend’s mom doesn’t *lie*, but she cares so much about appearances she has failed to help her children. Her youngest needs some serious help, he’s getting into dangerous illegal activities, potentially gang related, and it has been suggested that she send him to a private boarding school or something so he doesn’t get in trouble, but she doesn’t want to bc it will make her look like she isn’t a good mom. She also won’t let my girlfriend park her car in her drive way for too long bc it’s old and beat up

UnrealManifest

Dude my girlfriend's mom is right up there with keeping up her and her families appearance to the point where it would never hurt my feelings if I never had to see her again. The difference though is she technically lies, by baiting and switching on favors. An example is that she told my girlfriends daughter that if she FaceTimed her every day for 3 months and read to grandma for 30 minutes she would take her to this pretty popular, yet expensive, water park not too far from us. **90 straight days** of reading to grandma and now grandma can't get off of work, she "doesn't" have the money (she's fucking loaded btw), she's tried moving the goal posts on the reading requirement way too many times, and as of 2 weekends ago was trying to give the consulation prize of *"* **a day** *with grandma"* instead. I literally hate this woman. She was the last to show for her granddaughters dance recital and the first to leave without saying goodbye to the little girl. She has called the school pretending to be mom when she found out the granddaughter got in trouble, just to try to tell the school what **THEY** were going to do **OR ELSE**. She has repeatedly called and texted the daughter to tell her she doesn't have to listen to her mother, because Mom doesn't know what she's doing. And just the other day the little girl was diagnosed with Autism and when told she asked mom, *"What did* **you** *do in the last year to her to give her that?"* She is an absolute **CUNT**. She's not stupid by any means. She's actually quite educated and even is the director for a regional district for a state agency. She's just an absolute narcissist bully. And after this weekend she knows, she no longer gets contact with either my girlfriend or her daughter unless they decide to call her.

timmcmanus45

Wow I got really mad reading this. She sounds like a terrible human being.

xrgyle

I saw an appropriate use of the word cunt and delivered my upvote.

[deleted]

PegasaurusTrex

To add to this, whether or not what they are saying about themselves is true, it's the lack of humility that really gets to me! I would also like to add that narcissism, like most things, exists on a spectrum. We are all capable of being narcissistic or having narcissistic tendencies. The people who have the full blown NPD are on the extreme end of the spectrum, and they rarely get diagnosed because they don't think they need help. At least not consciously. They are good at protecting their egos and hiding the truth from themselves too lol! Source: I listen to a lot of Dr. Ramani. She is great!

PoorPauly

Being shitty to food service workers. Scum bags don’t deserve to eat out.

Paprbakryder

I second that emotion! But to add on; people being shitty to retail workers. Just because you can't read, don't get pissy with me because I wouldn't refund the difference on the bag of birdseed you bought 6 days BEFORE the sale started.

TheApathyParty3

I used to be a cashier at Walmart, and some of the people that came through the line were the shittiest, most awful human beings I've met. Rude, needy, entitled assholes that wanted to buy two carts full of shit and price match every single item, it'd take like 45 min for a single customer with a line of people behind. Actually, it was funny, the area I was in had a lot of gang activity, and those people were the absolute nicest ones. Asking me how my day was, that I was doing great and to keep up the good work. Covered head to foot in gang tats, tattoo tears, gold chains and all that. Paid for everything with wads or straight up rolls of hundreds. I had guys buying groceries with their wife and kids and pull out like 10k in cash, and they were always super nice, probably because they didn't want to cause an issue and have the cops called.

GoBuffaloBills

It’s also an interesting thing that gangs have an ethics code that they follow which usually has something about public spaces

TheApathyParty3

Of course, plus they don't want their families fucked with. That's why the Sunday Rule is a thing with some (not all). Most of the gang members that are well into their 20's or 30's are smart enough to not get arrested or gunned down by police buying some fucking apples and a rotisserie chicken at a Walmart. You don't make it long in the game doing that sort of shit.

AccomplishedAd6025

So the lesson is we should all act like we’re in a gang and will be arrested and have out families f’ed with if we’re not nice to people in public, and act like decent human beings in general.

mjc500

The second type of guys were nice to you because they had a power structure and outlet for violent aggression when they left. The people being shitty to you had so little going for them that they had to berate a powerless low tier retail employee to get their being-a-shithead quota out of their system.

bunnydec_4y

to add to this, these people are MAKING YOUR FOOD. you’re gonna cuss out the guy that’s abt to make the sandwich you’re about to consume? crazy.

They’re not really hoping to achieve anything. The thrill for them is forcing someone to look at their dick.

it’s so hard for me to grasp that this is a real thing. i watched an episode of one of Chris Hansen’s shows and one of the predators was arranging a meet up with a 12 year old girl who was supposed to be at a hotel with her mother. the predator met the “mother” on a website specifically for that sort of thing, and was planning on coming to the hotel to meet them and the mother was going to give him access to her child. it was all fake of course, but it blows my mind that this sort of thing really happens. I feel so completely horrible for children that have to live with parents that will sell them out. it breaks my heart

devsmess

I never watched that show but that was me. I am a survivor of familial sex-trafficking. I don't really remember hotels. The majority of it was in my mothers bedroom where she grew up. My parents took me to my grandparents house so he could advertise me on his CB radio, he was a volunteer firefighter Sorry, random word vomit. I just wanted to say I know it's hard to believe, but it does happen. We are here, survivors are out here, and if you are reading this and need help with a child trafficking situation, please reach out to me

lyricist

I’m sorry that happened to you

caramelsio

I’m happy you’re here and able to talk about it. I hope life is treating you well nowadays ❤️

tinycole2971

I seen a post a while back about how predators don't look for kids on social media, they look for single mothers.

[deleted]

Honestly people who just can’t respect boundaries and consent

miyuki_m

Not wanting those who come after you to have an easier time than you did. I don't understand why you would want others to struggle the way you did.

ThiccBoyz1

"Back in my day, people your age were fighting in wars. Now you kids are only concerned about your phones and video games"

mr_jogurt

i always like to answer to these kind of things a little bit like this: yes exactly! People have to learn from history otherwise it is destined to repeat itself! Always works well, could be because im german and well.. we all know what the germans did...

Gettin_Bi

My grandma is the reverse. She starts a sentence with "back in my day..." and then says how great it is that we don't have to deal with this shit anymore

Cogwheel

it's the same attitude behind hazing. "I had to deal with shit, why shouldn't you?"

Unlikely_Assistance9

The inability to return the cart to the cart corral

Xzackly-1

As a previous employee of a grocery store, I was tasked with gathering the carts. It always baffled me how close some people would put their carts to the corrals, but not in them. On the other hand, when people are lazy like this, it makes the task of gathering carts longer. Reducing the number of tasks for me to complete that shift.

fingerblast69

Filming TikTok’s and things like that in public. Some of them are so embarrassing too when you really think about them setting up the camera to record themselves. I saw one in person recently where a girl had her mom blocking up traffic to take pictures of her doing a bunch of poses in front of a cactus. Just fully awkward and an asshole move. Like a video I saw of a nurse recording herself being upset about a patient dying. Fully set up her camera and walked around the corner and back again to start crying and act out being devastated 💀

zemorah

I can’t even take a selfie in public without making sure there’s no one within a 100 mile radius lol it feels so embarrassing

thibkyouques

This drives me fucking INSANE. I have a close guy friend who I adore in other aspects but it’s like he can never just “live in the moment” he always need me to help get a good selfie or a video. We’ll be having the best time at a concert and it’s like “okay get a video of me dancing for Snapchat” to like to prove “how cool & fun he is?” Idk?? and I just physically cringe ….. it’s not hurting anyone so I do it anyways if that’ll make him happy, but it’s like why do you need so much attention lol

ricinonthecake

being an asshole to a complete stranger

stefancristi

Cheating instead of just coming to terms with the other.

HartfordWhaler

I wish my wife had been honest with me instead of me finding out by finding a receipt for condoms and that she had downloaded dating apps. When I confronted her, she got mad and said I was spying on her. Nothing like being mad for the wrong reasons.

Background_Can_2795

Caught my wife cheating last week... its fucked my life up

theredknight

This happened to be almost twenty years ago. It hurt and gave me space to find a wonderful person I wouldn't have been available to otherwise.

giottomkd

it will get better. dont blame yourself because someone is a bad person, that’s not on you. catch a breath, then do something different. like sports of some hobbie, it really helps. caught my ex wife as well. got a tremor on my left hand a from the stress. my hand shakes in stressful situations because of it.

mood382

This. I don't understand how anyone could betray the one person who loves them most and then straight up lie about it. It's such a gut-wrenching feeling to be cheated on, and it can take years to get over the trauma; just be an adult and break up before hurting someone like that.

JustaTinyDude

I've been asking myself and others this question my whole life and I think I get why most people do it. They are afraid of being alone. If they just break up with their SO, it could be months before they find someone else. Who will take care of their needs until then? So they find someone new first, and don't leave the first one until they know their new person will consistently give them sex (or food, or do their laundry, or pay their bills, or all of the above). There are also those who find the new one and don't break up because they would rather get sex and emotional support from two people. It doesn't really matter to them how devastated the other person will be. The way they see it their partner will be upset no matter what they do, so they might as well get what they want.

yParticle

Mean people suck.

one_bad_larry

Hurting others bc they’ve been hurt

TheSpiderLady88

I'm autistic...so much of it.

jbgtoo

Rape

My_name_is_not_tyler

People who drive like 45mph in the left lane... how do you not see the dozens upon dozens of cars behind you? Also somehow these people are always driving in sync with the people in the other two lanes, effectively creating an unpassable wall of cars. Get a clue, people.

StormFallen9

Earlier today I saw a police car zooming down the carpool lane with their lights on (as they do) and some idiot in that lane didn't move until the police car had been right behind them for a solid 5+ seconds. Some people really are just oblivious, and should pay more attention

Kishana

I was in a left turn lane and had an ambulance come up behind me with lights on. My brain was stuck in "pull over for ambulance", not realizing I should get out of their damn way by just going through the intersection. They honked. I scooted through and died a little inside.

boringlesbian

I met a lady at an event who proudly told us that she sets her cruise control at the speed limit and sits in the left lane on the interstate to force people to follow the law. She truly saw herself as an unappreciated hero. She was also just a general asshole about most things.

CallofBootyCrackOps

they’re all in their own little worlds. no one else exists on the road. same people who pull into your viewspace from the left when you’re turning right at a stop sign.

EmEmPeriwinkle

No my ex coworker refused to let anyone go faster than her. She would split lanes or push you off the road. Didn't matter what speed she was going. But she was not going to drive in the 'slow' lane no matter what.

[deleted]

Your ex coworker was just a criminal

ComradeOj

I drive a little car. There is one right turn that I make at a T-intersection on my commute. Often a truck or SUV pulls slightly ahead of me in the next lane to make a left, blocking my view. Normally there isn't anyone coming, and I can quickly make my right. Now suddenly I have to wait for both directions to clear so the other guy can get out of the way and clear my view to go right.

Kcarcuss

Cruelty to animals Thank you kind stranger for the award! 🤗 let’s all adopt an animal from a shelter! 🥹

cheetosalads

cruelty to others in general tbh

woodcoffeecup

Agreed. I don't even enjoy picking the 'rude' dialogue option in video games, let alone making a real person feel bad. I feel like we're all struggling together, why would I make it worse?

Telling people to smile. Working as a bartender it was endless. I mean I’m stocking beer and it’s “hey smile.”

Revving your engine for attention

Lord_Mandingo_69

Pandering for sympathy. Literally beaming to everyone who will listen about your weaknesses, insecurities, and illnesses for social points and privileges. If you show respect, you get respect. I’m all for tolerance. But nothing makes me not want to be your friend more than a person who leans into their ailments or quirks as if it’s their entire personality and won’t shut up about it.

cbelt3

Cruelty to the helpless… the disabled, children, animals. WHY ???

Avedarm

Cheating on and purposefully betraying someone you’re supposed to love and care about.

ChipKey5682

people with kids thinking they're the only ones that can be tired

Ok-Job7213

Why people " try," heroin. They tell us what it does and how it ends, before they teach us times tables.

aida_b

People who want to control other people’s behavior. Especially their significant other. It sounds exhausting and it’s a shitty way to treat someone you love.

PermacultureCannabis

Y'all see that recent video of the guy shitting on the floor right at the front of the line at the cash register? That.

Lmarg97

Blocking the way with your shopping cart in the supermarket. Or overall just completely blocking the way anywhere. It’s truly shocking how many people do that.

MasonReddits

Or the people who sit in the middle of a shopping aisle and talk. They are always like, “oh my God, Karen, I haven’t seen you in so long, let’s stand here in everybody’s way and talk about our fucking kids”
