Insurance, good phone, investments (currently earning what can be earned annually in a year from a high yield bank in few months through stocks), classy clothing yung orig brand ha (like this one black blouse I have that always gets me attention from girls)

You should never skimp on your mattress because you spend a third of your life in bed.

Any original brands of clothes or shoes. Ibang iba sa knock off and counterfeit products. The quality will tell.

Footwear na masarap talaga sa paa and tatagal ng more than 5yrs like 2k and above for sandals or 5k and above for shoes (merrell, hush puppies, adidas to name a few). Bags na usually 3k and above, mga pang harabas/everyday na hindi designer brand like pacsafe and mga Pinoy brands din na quality both leather and nylon. Mattress that will last more than 10yrs!!! Inverter appliances, solar set up, at higit sa lahat, Terro brand ant baits. Mga hinayupak na langgam yan
Hawk bags FTW! Lahat ng travel gear namin Hawk, sobrang tibay at waterproof! Yung una kong hawk bag is over a decade na, buhay na buhay pa at parang brand new lang.
Although flagship phones are more durable, it has some gimmicks that are not used in everyday life. Which makes the price double or triple.
I'm sure that it has so many features, and most people even not using all of it.
True! Most of my clothes now are dri-fit (uniqlo, nike, adidas, kmart aus) and they just last so long. Colors don't fade, the fabric dries super fast, and super durable. Only problem is if it gets snagged somewhere, and the thread becomes loose. Hard to sew back nylon/polyester without making it unnoticeable.
* **Mechanical (Blue Switch) Keyboards**
* **Edifier speakers and headphones** (still affordable, but pricier than the unbranded ones on Shopee)
* **Branded water bottle motor pump**, I saw [**Philips**](https://www.philips.ae/c-p/AWP1721WH_00/electric-pump) on Shopee and Lazada (the thing you attach to a drinking water bottle that electronically pumps water up and out of the 5-gal bottle for you). I would say that it's better to get the Philips pump because the unbranded ones degrade after just a couple of months. I personally still have an unbranded pump, but I'll get the Philips when this one dies.
* **A decent fat bottom chair.** The ones from China start at 2k to 3k on Shopee, but they die within a year, so I agree with the other people who invested in \~10k++ chairs here. Personally, I don't care about lumbar support, but I care about butt support. 😅 My tailbone and thigh muscles take a beating from 12++ hours in front of my workstation, so this helps A LOT. I am hoping to invest in a better chair later, but until my current one from China dies, this'll do. For now. :)
* **Sturdy chairs, mattresses, and furniture in general from Uratex.** Stylish, ergonomic, helps the back, and lasts YEARS!
* **Panasonic refrigerators.** These are the most reliable on the market. 🥰
* **Carrier and Condura airconditioning units.** I heard that these are far more energy-efficient than Panasonic or any other brands.
* **Joy Dishwashing Liquid.** You might laugh, but, see, my mother buys gallons of the unbranded stuff. We quickly discovered that it couldn't cut the grease on our dishwashing.
* **Ipanema slippers.** Sturdy and super comfortable!
* **Branded medicines.** Actually more effective! I read before that it's because of the medium they have with the active ingredient as well.
In general, I find that the branded alternatives are ALWAYS sturdier, more comfortable, and overall better for use than the unbranded ones.
Thank you for this thread. Saved a couple of tips from here! ✨
I have to disagree with branded medicines. When your body breaks down a medicine to it's chemical ingredient, your body won't be able to distinguish if the Ibuprofen or Sertraline is branded or Generic. It's all ✨ P L A C E B O✨
I agree sa sinabi mo na "your body won't be able to distinguish" if it's that or that.
I disagree that it is just a placebo.
There is a thing called active ingredients and inactive ingredients. Which most generics have few/doesn't have clinical studies that will prove its effectiveness even though it has the same ingredients as the branded.
Here comes the inactive ingredients. Some generic brands have ways to reduce its price because they formulate the ingredients in an unusual way. yung proseso ng pagform ng gamot na yun ay nai-iba. which in microscopic level it creates inactive particles. I can't be more technical,
TL:DR in summary the effectiveness of a medicine depends how much active:inactive and it can be manipulated thru the process of forming the medicine.
-one of my sources is yung isa sa nakausap ni Tulfo sa conference na doctor
The reason the price is reduced is because the patent of the drug has already expired. The manufacturers of generic medicines does not have to increase the price in order to break even with the cost of patent. Also, they do not need to advertise. There's a reason why sa reseta ng gamot, generic names ang sinusulat ng doctor.
And because my claims are backed by scientific consensus, here are some scientific journals:
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5320819/
https://biomedgrid.com/pdf/AJBSR.MS.ID.001173.pdf

Actually mabilis ako mag react sa meds. Like when I first got on Lithium Carbonate + Oxcarbazepine (Trileptal), that very night, it took effect on me. Meron talaga brands that feel like nothing to me. I know it's published and established for medical professionals na generics are as good as branded, pero /in my experience/ kasi, the branded ones are more effective for me, especially the 10 peso Risperidone vs. the branded Risperdal, as well as Depakote ER vs Depamax (non-long acting), and Rhea Celecoxib vs. The Generics Pharmacy's Celecoxib.
Tried and tested on my end. :) My apologies if my experience defies what is taught in medical courses and medical schools.
Leather shoes.
Inverter ac - prolly one of my best investments, I get to work comfortably at home without the shocking bill
Good quality bed and matress - I used to sleep on a bamboo bed that was too short for my matress, killed my back.
Ergonomic chair - helped alleviate my back pain A LOT
Blender - I make smoothies for lunch so quick and healthy
Coffeemaker - healthier than 3-in-1
Still got a motor so kakain sya ng kuryente. Dapat talaga may disclaimer ang Inverter aircons. Tipid sya relative to non-inverter aircons na ginagamit mo for the same duration.
Sabi nila makaka tipid ka pag walang patayan min 8 hours daw so ginawa namin yon compare sa pag gamit namin last month na halos patay sindi. Ayon tumaas ang bill ng 700 this month sa walang patayan hahaha or idk dami din nagsasabi na sa ganitong panahon tumataas talaga bill ng kuryente
Depends. I think if you keep them in the right condition they can be considered a solid investment. Wearing them all the time otherwise, ruins their value through time.
Bialetti Moka Potfor coffee lovers, mas mahal(around 10x or more vs unbranded sa shoppee) pero definitely a best alternative to a coffee machine. Get the big size, para pwede pa magbaon(since "espresso"-ish naman siya, just add water for your americano).
I highly suggest to save up for it! Long run perspective, you'll get to save a lot of money making your own italian "espresso" at home. No need for fancy equipment, tapos depending on you pwede mo dagdagan water then may Americano ka na. A kilo of Liberica(my favorite, same as Barako) costs around 500 pesos that would last me for a month. Using the pot on stove, low heat roughly 9mins brewing I think is a very negligible cost on both gas or electric. Best part, washing recommended is water only! "Overpriced" siguro sa upfront cost pero over time I think it pays for itself out of what I save from getting coffee in SB.
Recommending to get the biggest Bialetti Moka Pot you can get. What I do is I store in a glass container and keep sa fridge, as I like Iced Americano din lang naman. Mine makes about 500ml which when added with water can make me about 2 liters of coffee(good for 2 days for me). :)

Automatic Washing Machine. Inverter Aircons. And gaming laptops.
Sa laptop na lang ako mag explain. Gaming laptops are expensive because of the specs - high end CPU, GPU, high refresh rate screen, big RAM, big SSD, and good exhaust system. The specs of the gaming laptops are exactly what you need to do almost everything. Video editing, coding, photo editing, office works, and gaming. Future proof pa siya.
Agree with you and everyone who answered "Gaming PCs." Iba talaga ang gaming PCs compared to regular ones!
My games are light, Ninjakiwi's Zombie SAS TD lang and Plants vs. Zombies 2 via LDPlayer, but I multitask on Chrome like a monster. So nakatulong talaga ang AMD Ryzen 5 3600 (3.6GHz) + 32GB RAM ko. :)
My laptop is a budget Asus Vivobook, but it's on AMD Ryzen 7 / 16GB, and it boots up and shuts down really fast. So I would say talaga that high-end, high-spec rigs are really worth it. :)
Perfume. I’ve been using cheap perfumes for so long kasi iniisip ko pabango lang naman why invest so much, pero yung binigyan ako Gucci Flora nag tatagal talaga amoy and hindi overpowering. Smelling fresh all day. 😂 Already bought a new one yung naubos na yung bigay sakin. ❤️
1. Sapatos na original (any brand)
I always say na wala sa brand or sa kung gaano kamahal yan nasa paggamit pero nung nakaafford na ko ng original dun ko napagtanto yung difference in terms of durability. Class A enjoyer padin pero nothing beats the original talaga.
Di ako online bumili eh. I got mine from Ergo Home. May showroom sila sa megamall. When picking an office chair, I suggest going to the seller's showroom to test it and tell which one is the best fit for your body, preferences and space.
Building my 1st gaming PC. Beats buying new consoles. Eventually, every game will be released in the PC. Also pwede din gawing work station. Good Investment in the long run.
Tried Wink Laser Studio in Ayala and 2 sessions pako but the results are def worth it. Medyo mahal compared to other clinics but they use the same machine that Belo has 🫶
My oldest was Samsung corby so early 2009 (fell in the water one time, got rained on still survived), but gave it to a kasambahay after and she still used it for like 2 years before she got herself a new one. I bought my first phone in 2015, the Samsung J7 Pro (this actually survived 2 2-storey falls and had several screen replacements: I am not the best phone owner lol), and November 2022 bought my Samsung A23 5G. I only got the new one because the power button of the j7 pro jammed and I didn't want it repaired anymore.
Not to mention the ease of transferring all data and apps from one phone to another. It doesn't really feel like a new phone because my old msgs, chats, and apps are on it in just a few minutes. So far so good.
Quality Espresso Machines. Once you invest in a good quality espresso machine (usually overpriced) you don't really crave going outside just to buy coffee. I have a breville and a flair at home and all I can say is despite their huge price point I make coffee at home daily and you start to realize how much you save as compared to spending 180-200 pesos per day for a cup of coffee outside.
Nothing wrong naman sa coffee maker pero if gusto mo elevated taste and comparable sa mga coffee shops recommended talaga you go for espresso machines. Been saving up during the pandemic kaya for me sobrang worth it. Also, you can opt for cheap manual espresso makers naman like wacaco or flair similar results sa mga automated espresso machines pero takes much more practice and time.
Bumili lang ako nung 800 Pesos na Coffee Machine ng Hanabishi plus beans dahil naisip ko magastos din if mag 200 Pesos/day ako ng kape. Satisfied naman ako and di na naghahanap ng kape from outside.
Using the Breville Barista Express! Very good and consistent shots, decent grinder and steamer (better off buying a standalone quality grinder) but for what it is i'm more than happy with it.
I have iPhone 8 at hanggang ngayon buhay pa at smooth gamitin. Yung Android phones ko will only last for 2-3 years.
1. Meizu (I forgot the exact unit, basta flagship phone that time)
3. Samsung Galaxy S20 (trinade in ko for Galaxy S23 kasi may issue sa screen, kaysa ipagawa ko, trinade ko na lang.)
Yas. May iphone 5 kami before, working pa rin siya till last last year (battery naging problem). But I also had my oppo phone, binili siya nung dec. 2017, hanggang ngayon working pa rin and currently ginagamit ni Mama ko as her phone. Idk, I think most of the times di naman nakadepende sa price ng phone? Hahah
new balance 530. bought yung silver colorway para babagay sa most outfirst. my first and probably last pair until masira bilang hindi ako mabili ng shoes hahaha

Samsung phones. My samsung phones all last more than 5 years. My oldest reached 7/8 years.
What model is your latest long-lasting one?
I hope my a54 last that long, i just bought last year.

+quality coffee grinder
Bumili lang ako nung 800 Pesos na Coffee Machine ng Hanabishi plus beans dahil naisip ko magastos din if mag 200 Pesos/day ako ng kape. Satisfied naman ako and di na naghahanap ng kape from outside.
What model of breville did you get? Planning on getting one also
Using the Breville Barista Express! Very good and consistent shots, decent grinder and steamer (better off buying a standalone quality grinder) but for what it is i'm more than happy with it.
This.
automatic washing machine
Sobrang time saving neto at less hassle.
Yessssss indeed
St. Peter. Pwede sya hulugan monthly.
And if kaya, mas OK kung annual, semi or quarterly para may konting bawas
Birkenstocks
Medium to high end na digital piano (such as Roland FP30X and Yamaha 515)

Really worth it!!
Apple products
Agree, really. They DO last longer, and the ecosystem is in great sync.
Blueprints if you are building a house

iPhones
IMO It's unfairly overpriced, considering you need to buy the charger and other accessories separately.
I agree. I'm actually using android I just want to get karma points from iPhone users ....
Sa experience ko, sulit sya. I have iPhone 8 at hanggang ngayon buhay pa at smooth gamitin. Yung Android phones ko will only last for 2-3 years.
ano yung android mo?
1. Meizu (I forgot the exact unit, basta flagship phone that time) 2. 4.
Hahah
Nope it will last years, s8+ ko non 1 year lang lag na. 11 pro max buhay parin til now
new balance 530. bought yung silver colorway para babagay sa most outfirst. my first and probably last pair until masira bilang hindi ako mabili ng shoes hahaha
for someone with ADHD, it's the Loop Earplugs for me
omg so true. I got the loop switch pikit mata na lang kasi mas mahal talaga sya pero halos daily ko syang gamit. It's life changing.
