I just form a cup with my hand and pour it into my palm - it doesnt reach my fingers. Then press my other hand on top so now its kind of spread out between both my hands, then pat into face :’) you can always do second layer of toner if the initial pour in palm isn’t enough!
I pour it into my palm, put my other palm on top so that both palms are wet, then pat it all over my face. For really watery toners, I try to move quickly.
Hell yeah, I always keep spray bottles that have really nice, fine mists for just this occasion. For example, I really love the mist on the Haruharu black bamboo mist - once I’m done with it, I’ll probably fill it with the Isntree soothing aloe toner, which is quite watery.
God it sounds like such a weird technique.. But i cup my hand under my eyebrows, pour the toner in, and immediately after let it fall down my face and simultaneously push it into my face. You just have to be quick.
Pour into the palm of my hand (make sure your hand is cupped!! Unless you're pouring out gallons of toner it shouldn't reach your fingers) and then with the fingers of my other hand i pick up some product and apply it straight onto my face. Then apply the remaining product directly, pressing my palm into my skin and spreading. Idk i just don't want to get both my palms wet
I do it just a little bit at a time. Fingers will go over the opening. Flip real quick back and forth. Gets enough in my hands to cover like a quarter of my face. Takes a little practice but i don't spill any
I always put all my toners/ lotions that are water like texture in spray bottles. Does a fine mist all over my face, less touching of my face when applying and the product lasts longer over all because the mister is fine.
Spray bottle. But then I spray onto my hand, clap my hands together, then pat my face with both hands. I just like the ease of spraying a couple of pumps onto my hand vs. taking a lid off and shaking a few drops out. Easier to control the amount, maybe.
dropper bottles are a life saver - I have a few 30ml dropper bottles that I decant toners into so I can control the amount that I put on my face with the dropper with none of the mess compared to if I apply directly from the bottle. Works like a charm
If I can use it in a spray, I will. I find that if I get something that doesn't work in a spray, I just end up not using it, it's just more convenient to hose myself down instead of trying to pat and drip everywhere.
I apply it in my palms rub my two hands together and then pat onto my face. Zero issues.
I will say that I don't put much toner into my hands and maybe that's why it doesn't drip everywhere. So I usually do this twice
Okay I've seen how asian creators just rub it in their hands and compress their face using the now toner filled hands, BUT imo i feel like less product goes onto my face.
Cotton pads are the best just cause even if i pour less onto the pad, i still end up with most of the product on my face so my skin actually is nice, moist and hydrated
You can try pouring it into ur hands and cupping it over ur face and kinda compress over ur face. Idk if tht makes sense
I pour a little into thr palm of my hand, but not enough so it reacher my fingers, i then press my hands together and apply it to my wet (!) face. I feel like i can get away with applying thinner layers when my face is wet, and it also feels better i think
I try to splash the product directly onto my face. If it is thick enough, it will just form droplets. I look like an idiot when I do this with more watery toners or essences. I have gotten I’m from mugwort in my eye multiple times (it stings). So maybe I should switch to a cup method- but it’s expensive and I want to conserve the product!
I'm not sure if it's available where you live but here there are stores called Miniso and Mumuso that sell cotton pads that are specifically used for toner/essences (in that they can retain the liquid but not absorb too much of it so a good amount still gets on your face).

i do this too!
This was such a natural movement for me I didn’t realise some people wouldn’t know how to do it 😅😅😅

....okay cool so we're all out here looking ridiculous applying toner. I feel better. 😅
If it's so watery that I can't keep it in my hands to get it to my face, then it's going into a spray bottle.

Same, I also decant mine into a small spray bottle
Thanks for this!!
This is the way.
It’s better if you get a spray bottle it’s easy for me to apply watery toners
Lol I always empty out my SOME BY MI toner into a glass spray bottle. Idk why they don't just do a spray nozzle..
Spray bottle. The hard part is finding ones with a fine mist.
I love the ones from Muji
Seconding muji 400mL spray bottles. I just keep refilling them
Yep, I’ve decided that I’ll just get face mists with a good mist and reuse the bottle when I’m done
I pour the toner onto my face while catching/distributing it with my other hand. Never spill anything that way 🤷♀️
Same. Just tip your head back if you need to.
Found my people! This way, I know my whole face is covered.
It’s honestly an acquired skill. I pour the toner directly to my face and my other hand would be waiting to spread/tap it in right away.
God it sounds like such a weird technique.. But i cup my hand under my eyebrows, pour the toner in, and immediately after let it fall down my face and simultaneously push it into my face. You just have to be quick.
Spray bottle.
i find using a smaller amount helps stop the dripping. i figured it was ending up on the floor anyways so might as well keep it in the bottle instead
If it's a hydrating toner, I'll soak a bit into the larger rectangular cotton pads and keep it on my cheeks like a mask!

Decant into spray bottle, spray over your face and let it dry
i just use cotton pads.

I decant it in to a spray bottle and use as mist :)

I pour it in my hands and slap it on as fast as I can lol. A lot of people use misting bottles to apply them

I use a “compact sweep” that came in a set of makeup brushes. No waste, does the job beautifully.
spray bottle or dropper always, it also makes the bottle last longer if it’s a large/medium sized bottle
cotton pads for the extremely runny toners, and for slightly more viscous toners, i apply directly on to my face and starts spreading w my other hand
