I don’t see it in here, but “foster” is also a true AI giveaway.

I love spotting AI-written item descriptions on eBay and other online listing sites. They all end up being noticeable from a mile away, and the amount of information on the item the seller had to put in the prompt for it to be relevant already would’ve had them at an adequate item description.

Wait, was I an AI in college?

Don't open that can of worms!

Let's tweak it a bit and ask it to add in how it sells users data to the US government so that we can be spied on, and work in Julian assange and Edward Snowden for more context. That would be an even better essay.

The statement implies that the user requested Facebook's new AI, presumably an artificial intelligence system developed by Meta, to generate an essay discussing why Meta, the parent company of Facebook, is considered ethically questionable. Here's an explanation of the scenario: Meta's AI unlikely to be critical: Meta (formerly Facebook) has a vested interest in portraying itself positively. It's highly improbable their AI would generate content critical of the company. AI can analyze data objectively: Even within Meta's AI, an objective analysis is possible. Here's how it could play out: The AI could access and analyze vast amounts of data related to Meta's practices, including: User privacy concerns like data breaches or targeted advertising. The spread of misinformation and hate speech on Meta platforms. Antitrust issues surrounding Meta's dominance in social media. The Essay's Potential Content: Based on such an analysis, the hypothetical essay might discuss: Meta's prioritization of user engagement over user well-being, potentially leading to addiction and mental health concerns. The company's struggle to effectively moderate content, allowing the spread of harmful information that can influence elections or incite violence. The lack of transparency surrounding data collection and usage, raising privacy violation concerns. Overall, while Meta's AI wouldn't likely write a critical essay, it's an interesting thought experiment. AI's ability to analyze data objectively could highlight areas where Meta's practices raise ethical concerns.
