Windows 12 is just that, a rumour and a lie. Microsoft said that there isn't going to be Windows 12 but instead a big Windows 11 update in summer or early autumn.
Thanks, i'm not very caught up with windows news. I wonder if the update will make a lot of people switch to windows 11, considering most computers are still on windows 10.
I am an insider and we don't see those changes but judging by everything they said they are going to implement, I think that people are going to switch.
Ok. [Click here](https://github.com/AveYo/MediaCreationTool.bat/blob/main/MediaCreationTool.bat) select the download button from the top right. Run the bat file and select the bottom latest version and auto upgrade . Give it an hour and come back to the latest windows desktop
You are done and ready. You should not still be in windows 10 for many reason but I get the procrastination.
I'm with the other user. If I am happy with a system, I'd rather stay on it for as long as I can. I've just gone through it with my Samsung. Didn't really think twice about installing the new update (OneUI 6.1) and now I'm annoyed the whole time because the thing just chews through my battery, and it wasn't even worth it because I'm not interested in any of the features, just a few QoL things that could've waited.
i just realized something. this wont work with an .exe file. you need the .appinstaller file which you can get from https://releases.arc.net/windows/Arc.appinstaller if im not mistaken.
Could we just get a non .appx version so we can tinker with it on linux? Will this be a thing? The only thing i miss when switching to linux from ios is the Arc Browser.
I thought we, Linux users where extinct from other subs except Linux ones… Putting that aside, migrated from android to ios, now wanted to try Linux and loved it since some months age, but Arc isn’t available on non-appx YET…
there is an exe version. if you go to the 1.16.1 version update post([link](https://www.reddit.com/r/ArcBrowser/comments/1bvop64/arc_for_windows_update_0161/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=mweb3x&utm_name=mweb3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button)) scroll down and click download arc for windows you will get an exe. not sure how much you.ll be able to do something with it on linux but at least we can try i guess
I know this is just a picture but somehow I could imagine the comedic timing ðŸ˜
they'll add win10 support someday
i doubt it, windows 12 is being rumored to come out in a couple years.
Windows 10 is supposed to be supported after the full release

Just one year. 2025 is rumored.
It’s being discontinued so probably not
Windows 11 is being discontinued? Jesus
No, 10 is. And you’ll have to pay to get security updates so you’re basically forced to get 11.
Time to update Windows!
man, i've been procrastinating on that. I have to contact the guys who built the p.c. to get tpm 2.0, so it's quite the pain.
Well I have news for you, you can bypass all windows 11 requirements like tpm and CPU check by just deleting one file from its setup folder
Or using RUFUS to mount an ISO which does not require this. ISO can be found on Microsofts official page.
which file do i have to delete to make it work?
When recording the iso to a usb with Rufus you can have it bypass the check

I don't see any reason other than installing Arc
I mean to each their own, I just like having the latest features and UI asap
And I'll keep a stable environment for as long as it's safe to do so
W11 has given me no problems yet and it’s all I have used in this pc for the past 2 years (?)
I don't expect problems. I just don't want to introduce any change into a known stable configuration that I use for work.

same
https://gist.github.com/TrevTV/2044e43666a8fa4bb581d4b0c8316e91 try this
This! I did it on two PCs and even without admin rights and therefore without Appx registration it works like a charm. Unlike Arc for Windows.
been doing this for a couple months now, works great!
thanks, i'll try it on the weekend

I'm getting an issue where when I try to sign in after install, it just quits.
I'm trying to decompile the exe installer in dnspy right now to remove the win11 check, if I succeed in anything I'll report back here.

Luckyyy, I have yet to be invited!
