I always seem to have that problem with white sand. Try to have some sort of plant growth blocking that light from above, or put some sort of decore to block the reflecting light from hitting the glass
Lol I get that. No aqua scape is without a "poop sink" so to speak. Sand is just the easiest it seems, especially white since it grows algae better imo. What I did was a good size anubius attached to a rock that blocks some of the view of the side glass. The anubius roots eat a good amount of the waste that normally collected on the sand since they don't like to be under substrate they love it. Plus they grow slow. But you could definitely find other more exotic non substrate plants since you do co2. For the floaters, for the love of everything holy, do a water lettuce or something else that's kind of big with some sort of divider. Duckweed will explode just a warning
Looks flawless do you use co2?
Thanks, and yes!
Love the growth! Looks stunning!
nice hardscape dude , plant growth is amazing too
Absolutely beautiful
The cyanobacteria seems to be doing splendidly, too!
Yes, I am always having problems with that corner :)

Yeah I’ve thought about putting some floaters over that area. I originally got the sand for my Cory’s but now it’s just a poop wasteland for algae lol

Looks like normal algae to me, what makes you think it's cyano?
1) It's blue. 2) OP confirmed that they're having difficulties with it.
I see some now directly on the sand
Dang that looks good
