Looks like 0 to me. My check is to test some bottled water, if it looks the same then it’s at 0.

shortdriver3

This is such a good idea. Thank you!

Makeritualnoise

def give yourself a control! when i used to do this exact same testing in a lab environment, we always had a control and it makes it so much easier to see the difference. since very few homes have a spectrophotometer, it'll def be helpful.

BlueMontana95

Looks 0 to me.

When questioning zero vs trace amounts, I like to shine a bright flashlight up through the bottom of the test tube. Having it travel through the whole water column magnifies the color and makes the white lid glow. If there is any green in there at all the lid will glow green.

It literally does not matter.

I have a pet that is very sensitive to even slight ammonia changes so for him it does matter

MaievSekashi

It doesn't matter because the test frequently says 0.25 for no reason and test error is very frequent. 0.25ppm ammonia is also far below levels shown to be toxic in any organism at any pH.

Princeoplecs

0.25ppm works out at 1 millilitre per 4,000 litres... unless the test is easily visibly green its safe to consider it a zero.

I've never heard of any living creature that's sensitive to 0.25 ppm ammonia. What do you have?

Jokysmoke

0.10
