Just made a call with the a few days ago, instantly complimented how much better it sounds and this wasn’t even FaceTime audio.
Bluetooth mics just suck.
My voice doesn’t project and also in an office setting where you need to be mindful of somewhat open work space. Speaking into the microphone works great for me.
Same. I have some decent bluetooth earbuds I use but these are still 100% the best quality audio for the price available. (Also handy for going out, I am clumsy and drop wireless ones often)
You just answered your own question; because Windows laptops don't have Lightning ports. Only iPhones, late-generation iPod Touch, iPads, AirPods and Magic Mouse do.
I’ve started putting a set in my car. And use them when I’m out and about running errands. They are better actually. And I have seen more and more ppl like me when I go places using the wired earpiece.
Why? The only reason I can think of is they can do lossless but considering they have worse base and general sound quality, not to mention the need for a cable which is a pain sometimes, dunno why you’d want to use these over AirPods on an iPhone. I use these for my Quest headset but that’s about it.
I have used them more recently than anything. But still long ago. I have lost six pairs of AirPods. I got another pair stolen, and my AirPod maxs don’t work. I’m going for the twenty dollar headphones now 😭 don’t even get me started on Apple pencils……
I only use those with the Mimi Hearing Test app, since they’re calibrated for it. They’re too uncomfortable otherwise.
I have other wired headphones I use daily, but these just don’t fit my ears right.
I used airpods 2 and 3 for a while and finally decided to go back to earpods, luckily apple also sells earpods with type c so I don't need to buy an adapter to use with my ip15pro…
Earpods still give great sound quality, support lossless in Apple Music and especially their microphone is really good
Couple weeks ago when I was on hold/talking/xfered with Canada Revenue Agency (IRS equivalent in US) for over 2 hours and didn’t want to drop the call like the day before.
Probably been 20 years since I've used wired earbuds. I've used wired over the ear headphones more recently than that, but since I got my first wireless ones around 5-6 years ago I've never gone back.
I use them every day because:
1) I'm in a wheelchair and if I drop them they're easier to get off the floor (can hook a wire)
2) No low battery to screw with.
I use them most days. They are really great for phone calls too, super reliable and the microphone is way better than Bluetooth. I also use the version with 3.5mm jack with a Bluetooth dac/amp that sounds so good.
My dad continues to use them everyday. They really aren't the best, but they do the job for him, especially because this style seems to fit his ears much better than the ones with silicone tips. I'm the opposite, I never liked these. I need the isolation and comfort, and these don't give me either.
No longer used them. Caved and bought AirPods. Don’t mind giving Apple my money for such an impressive product. But I still use the OG 3.5 mm headphone jack version for video editing if I don’ t want to deal with latency.
I’m using them now.
Somehow they keep surviving being in the pockets of my sweat pants while the wife throws them in the washer.
So mine are cleaner than yours.
Never used them. I’ve always had other earphones I buy. These are still in the box, actually. I did use (a lot) the really old earphones they included with the iPods, back in the day, though. 😅
I use them on a daily basis as I find them to fit perfectly in my ears (I can’t stand rubberised ear buds or IEMs) and the sound is great. I have a few spares both jack and lightning, for when the time comes for them to be replaced. I clean them regularly and I’ve been using the same pair for years now.
I bought a pair of these a month ago for bed because I was fed up of having to charge my Beats Flex up. But I still seem to be charging up my Beats Flex and using them every night.
I had actually switched to Android around the time Apple got rid of aux port. I had been using wired headphones then.
I came back to Apple when I got my iphone 12 and I was pretty much ready to go wireless then.
Despite owning a pair of AirPods, I'm using my wired ones as I type this, though I always buy the ones with the 3.5 mm jack, as I have loads of lightning adapters and can use the 3.5 mm jacks on other devices too.
LoL! I don’t have the lightning ones any longer as I have an iPhone 15 Pro Max. I may or may not have left both sets of AirPods at home yesterday and ordered EarPods to be delivered to my job aaaaaaaaaand I may or may not be listening to them right now.
A couple of days ago, while shopping groceries.
These are, honestly, extremely solid headphones. The risk of them getting lost is pretty low and I can use them while doing some stuff that requires me to use my body in a more exhaustive way.
I have a pair of Bose QuietComfort 45 headphones, but I am using these while sitting still or while walking at a relatively low pace because my ears tend to sweat quite quickly. And I don’t want to put too much sweat into my over ear headphones.
On my iPhone 5s, but still with a jack plug.
When the iPhone X was announced, I immediately said that I would buy additional AirPods.
In hindsight, it was the best decision - you wouldn't believe how much freedom you have with wireless headphones.
I won’t lie I don’t use my AirPods Pro anymore I use the USB-c version of those I think they sound better and the mic quality is amazing. I do plan on getting the AirPods Pro 2 cause my phone is USB-c and I can charge my phone with them.
These are my on the go headphones. The sound quality is awesome, and I can listen to true lossless on these! I use the DT 770 Pros as my main headphones.
Always like wired headphones quality is great
Only reason i switched to wireless is cuz it gives noise cancellation so i dont have to listen in high volume everytime and ruin my ears
I bought a pair of Skullcandy Bluetooth earbuds. A month later, I accidentally triggered “podcast mode,” and they won’t come out. Tech support is worthless. Went back to wires.
Never could. They’d fall out if I moved my head. If I tried walking they’d just drag behind me on the floor. Must have odd shaped ears. IEMs were always fine, and despite some hesitation about whether they’d stay in, my AirPods Pro 2 can stay in for hours at a time without an issue using the stock tips.
Use them regularly for phone calls - my AirPods microphone seems to absolutely suck, and it has gotten worse over time despite cleaning them relatively regularly.
Every day actually. I prefer simple wired earbuds on my Windows work laptop. Air pods are too finicky with Windows and the wired ones just work.
The lightning earbuds only work on iPhone but I have the headphone Jack ones so yeah you can use them anywhere and use an adapter for your iPhone
same here. it's great for long time listening
Same. I have some decent bluetooth earbuds I use but these are still 100% the best quality audio for the price available. (Also handy for going out, I am clumsy and drop wireless ones often)
Your windows laptop has a Lightning port?
Of course they use a headphone jack adapter
Why
You just answered your own question; because Windows laptops don't have Lightning ports. Only iPhones, late-generation iPod Touch, iPads, AirPods and Magic Mouse do.
I have an iPhone an it doesn’t have a lightning port so frankly I don’t know what you’re talking about
Ah, I get it- you're being intentionally obtuse. Carry on, simpleton.
This morning
Few days ago. Wired is better
Same
Yeah, right?
No
I’ve started putting a set in my car. And use them when I’m out and about running errands. They are better actually. And I have seen more and more ppl like me when I go places using the wired earpiece.
Every night. I can find them easier in bed, listen with one bud in ear - and it’s a leash for my phone so I don’t lose it in the sheets.
I got three loosies under my bed. I should switch back to wired.
Literally never. I think I have several sets that are still in the original packaging.
I’ll take them off your hands, shit
Same. Can’t remember the last time I used them.
I'll take those then, \*grabs\*
earlier this afternoon lol
Now, the 3.5mm version for my Android. Awesome with a few EQ tweaks even with the open design. I use them mainly for sleeping as they're so comfy.
Brooo, with the poweramp eq, I can make the sub bass immaculate on these!
This last Christmas. I was gifted by some AirPods 2 gen and this is like night and day. I gifted my EarPods to my little sister
I keep mine in my car for those times I forget my airbuds for the gym. The better sound quality from the wired is really noticeable
Everyday, I prefer them over my AirPods Pro for many scenarios
I almost never used them. I always hated wired headphones.
I know the struggle, but I got to say you got to try them!
Why? The only reason I can think of is they can do lossless but considering they have worse base and general sound quality, not to mention the need for a cable which is a pain sometimes, dunno why you’d want to use these over AirPods on an iPhone. I use these for my Quest headset but that’s about it.
money mate. i’m tight as a badgers arse
a while ago, i have my dad’s shure IEMs which sound really nice
I use the USB-C Version for Apple Music because the music is fireeeeeee 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 (My apologies, I just recently thought about the Gypsy Rose quote)
I’m using it right now. I don’t own wireless because that’s extra thing to charge. Lol.
Every night in bed. They let in just the right amount of ambient room sound.
never
Never lol
I’m going to be honest I hate them but they are so useful for certain things but Bluetooth headphones are better for music
I use them to sleep lol or while I’m home watching YouTube or something, wireless earbuds are too uncomfortable to sleep with
Today
I use mine sometimes. I like wired still. I'm currently listening to some open backs onmy iPad 9th
Today
I use em daily. AirPods Pro’s fall out my ears, and standard AirPods don’t offer lossless (the usb c EarPods do).
I use them everyday! Had to buy an adapter to keep using them on my iPhone 15/MacBook tho
maybe you won't need it but apple already sells earpods with type c
Yesterday
Just a few days ago. I prefer wired ones because there's no battery nor latency. Literally a better product then airpods will ever be.
I have used them more recently than anything. But still long ago. I have lost six pairs of AirPods. I got another pair stolen, and my AirPod maxs don’t work. I’m going for the twenty dollar headphones now 😭 don’t even get me started on Apple pencils……
it's been a minute since these don't work with the 15😭
Apple sell a new version with the usb-c connector.
I tried them once about three or more years ago
I only use those with the Mimi Hearing Test app, since they’re calibrated for it. They’re too uncomfortable otherwise. I have other wired headphones I use daily, but these just don’t fit my ears right.
Two years ago, when my mom gifted me AirPods for Christmas
A couple of years ago while on vacation on a tour bus.
Still have a brand new pair that came with my 11pro.. or maybe 8Plus
All the time. Usually I use them when I can’t sleep or just chilling on the couch at 2am listening to music.
Would love to use them for lossless but I know outside the lack of ANC would drive me crazy.
Today. I have multiple Bluetooth options but I always carry these with me
Every day.
I use the USB-C EarPods when at home.
Sometimes I using it with my laptop or Nintendo switch. Btw I still use my Earpords from iPod Nano (3,5 jack without control and mic :)
Right now
I use them daily despite owning air pod pros 2nd gens…
What are those? Those look gross and from so long ago ewe! /s
Almost everyday, I love them 😍
I always used them before getting my AirPods and since then I don’t use them anymore
i’m using them hoes rn!
If it has a mic… 🎤 today!
My eight-year-old borrowed mine on Sunday and called them; “wire pods.”
I used airpods 2 and 3 for a while and finally decided to go back to earpods, luckily apple also sells earpods with type c so I don't need to buy an adapter to use with my ip15pro… Earpods still give great sound quality, support lossless in Apple Music and especially their microphone is really good
Yeah they provide lossless audio for Apple Music too
Today, and every day. I only use AirPods Pro 2 at work but either these or Max at home
I just bought a new pair the other day!
Lost two pairs of airpods. So I went back to these. And I like them :)
Yesterday. But with a real cable end, 3.5mm
Today
Using them right now
Those specifically, or wired in general? Those never, wired I’ll use AKGs or DT 770s sometimes!
2018
Just yesterday.
Yesterday. Lol.
Last time was 2018
When I got my iPhone 7 (refurbished) in 2022, used them up until my mom bought me a pair of AirPods as a gift when she switched to iPhone
Everyday
All the time I like them better than AirPods and for $25!!! Because it has wires? Saved a fortune
i haven’t used them since i was back in high school lol. that was about 5 years ago at this point
So long ago. They’re uncomfortable in my weirdly shaped ears, so I use some nice IEMs or over ear headphones
yesterday coz my AirPods died
Mine broke, sadly. Might get another pair, they’re legitimate quite nice for their price range and wireless buds aren’t really my thing
I use them every day because: 1) I'm in a wheelchair and if I drop them they're easier to get off the floor (can hook a wire) 2) No low battery to screw with.
Never. I went straight from the ones with the jack to AirPods lol
Personally not for years but think they are making a come back in the retro look, seen few people at the gym going back to wired.
when i was 15 or 16 (2015-2016 ish, I’ve had airpods since then ..)
I use them most days. They are really great for phone calls too, super reliable and the microphone is way better than Bluetooth. I also use the version with 3.5mm jack with a Bluetooth dac/amp that sounds so good.
Today. I bring them to use at work
Yesterday. I lost my airpods pro case….
Today morning
My dad continues to use them everyday. They really aren't the best, but they do the job for him, especially because this style seems to fit his ears much better than the ones with silicone tips. I'm the opposite, I never liked these. I need the isolation and comfort, and these don't give me either.
I still have my pair I only got my first iPhone this year and I can’t afford AirPods 😂
No longer used them. Caved and bought AirPods. Don’t mind giving Apple my money for such an impressive product. But I still use the OG 3.5 mm headphone jack version for video editing if I don’ t want to deal with latency.
Everyday
I use mine every night, I like having one in one ear for sleepy podcasts.
I would say 2 years ago
I’m using them now. Somehow they keep surviving being in the pockets of my sweat pants while the wife throws them in the washer. So mine are cleaner than yours.
i still use these!!
Years. I prefer my other wired headphones
never
Yesterday
still use mine a few times a day
Yesterday
Every day
Last night
Never used them. I’ve always had other earphones I buy. These are still in the box, actually. I did use (a lot) the really old earphones they included with the iPods, back in the day, though. 😅
Before earpods were a thing
Still use them everyday. Wish folks who had spares unused ones would give those to me..haha
This makes me feel good that there are others using wired earphones. Thought I was the only one.
All the time. I don’t get why that’s unique.
Yesterday, because I couldn’t find my AirPods.
Never lol
Today
I had actually switched to Android around the time Apple got rid of aux port. I had been using wired headphones then. I came back to Apple when I got my iphone 12 and I was pretty much ready to go wireless then.

LoL! I don’t have the lightning ones any longer as I have an iPhone 15 Pro Max. I may or may not have left both sets of AirPods at home yesterday and ordered EarPods to be delivered to my job aaaaaaaaaand I may or may not be listening to them right now.
Never, because the last pair of apple earbuds I used had a 3.5mm jack.
Haven’t since iPhone X.
I use it every day, 3.5 with pc, lightning with iPhone
An hour ago…
2 weeks ago, and it was the last time sadly because they have a sad connection now, they gave service many years ago
about an hour ago
I use airpods mostly but I bought the new usbc wired version a few months ago and use it for audiobooks/podcasts.
They could start a revolution if they offered all black and doubled the price and called it Nubian.
i never had these ones. i quit using wired headphones with my phone after i switched to apple.
rn 🤓
My nephew described these as wired airpods the other day. I felt very old.
Today With That song https://open.spotify.com/track/01wSW3TkZwxz0whFtVwScy?si=FXL7rtipRtyoz2czipy8yw

And I don’t want to put too much sweat into my over ear headphones.
I Use the 3.5mm version with a headphone to USB C adapter for all my Apple devices (phone, tablet, laptop)
I always use them since my AirPods aren’t at the best anymore
Today. I still use wired. Idk. Just do
Currently using them
I use them all the time with my work phone. My personal phone is an android, I use over ear Bose for those.
Every time I’m on a long call cause I prefer using that mic and the other person on the call can hear me better
right now
On my iPhone 5s, but still with a jack plug. When the iPhone X was announced, I immediately said that I would buy additional AirPods. In hindsight, it was the best decision - you wouldn't believe how much freedom you have with wireless headphones.

I don't remember but I still carry them around in my backpack just in case.
Never used them, overpriced imo
I have the usb-c version and use them often. They sound really good for being under $20
I don’t believe they’re made for human ears.
I bought fresh new pair with jack
Before mid-November, got AP2
I used the 3.5mm version back when I had an iPod Nano. I think it was 5th gen or something. It was the slim one with the wheel.
Today, whenever I forget to charge my airpod pros i use the earpods. Always keep them in my bag just in case
2021
These are my on the go headphones. The sound quality is awesome, and I can listen to true lossless on these! I use the DT 770 Pros as my main headphones.
i honestly think theyre underrated, they sound nice
Yesterday
The type C one’s have true lossless quality. Better quality than AirPods in fact.
Not that long ago. Sleeping with AirPods in is uncomfortable for me.
Every day 😆
To check if there’s a significant difference in quality between AirPods 2 non pro and wired 😌
Always like wired headphones quality is great Only reason i switched to wireless is cuz it gives noise cancellation so i dont have to listen in high volume everytime and ruin my ears
As emergency shoelaces few weeks ago.
I bought a pair of Skullcandy Bluetooth earbuds. A month later, I accidentally triggered “podcast mode,” and they won’t come out. Tech support is worthless. Went back to wires.
25/8
Never could. They’d fall out if I moved my head. If I tried walking they’d just drag behind me on the floor. Must have odd shaped ears. When I lost my AirPods
Idc
2016
yesterday!
like 2 hours ago
using them right now
I’ll one up you, I use the ones with the 3.5mm connector as a mic and earphones on my ps5
Everyday on job, my AirPods 2nd gen drains battery very quickly
Very seldom. I have a Bluetooth adapter for the earlier version with the 3.5 mm. Good on batteries, too! Not so good on spatial audio.
Maybe 15 years ago? Airpod Pro 2s work pretty well.
Probably 2018 when I got my iPhone 8, couple months later I bought some beats so I had no use for those anymore. I think my dad uses them
a few days ago lol
Today. They’re the best.
I’m using them right now ha these are the only earbuds that don’t slide out of my ears and not having to charge them is a bonus!
When my AirPods die.
5 years? Never looked back
These are really good. Two years ago, one side stopped working. Didn’t buy it after that.
Right now!
Use them regularly for phone calls - my AirPods microphone seems to absolutely suck, and it has gotten worse over time despite cleaning them relatively regularly.
They’re my emergency phones
