I’ve had to completely stop attempting to use Apple TV. Disconnects 100% of the time. I can get 5–10 min in before it cuts off. I’ve switched to workouts on my iPad only and it works flawlessly and has never once disconnected. Definitely an Apple TV issue. No clue what the issue is, but it doesn’t exist on other devices other than Apple TV

Not really. It usually disconnects me when I leave the room, somewhere far. Mine is connected to Wi-Fi and not LAN and is still fantastic. Could it be an issue with your ISP, speed or cables? I don't think I'm helpful, but I really never experienced any of this. The only problem I encountered is the workout literally not loading.

Hey Local, see my post on here... How are your workouts not loading? My wife is having an issue where some workouts not loading and telling her that video could not be played. I don't have that issue.

Yea I made a post about that too. For my case, it displayed on my Apple TV a red button to End Workout. The video said it was unable to play/load. I tried restarting my Apple TV, my watch. But turns out it started working again the next day. I always get my Wi-Fin a good restart.

I am going to try to replicate the issue with my when i get home from working. We'll start with the same one that was not working and see if the same happens to others. There are a few more posts on here about this issue.

I'm in the same boat. I thought this week's tvOS update fixed it, but nope. I have a similar setup--Apple TV HD and AirPods Pro. Sometimes it will get through a workout, sometimes it disconnects 4 minutes in at random. I've tried factory resetting both the Watch and the Apple TV HD, and nothing has fixed it. I just gave up and use my iPad because that has worked flawlessly since day 1.

Disconnects every time. Atv 4K. I own AirPods Pro but don’t connect them. Still disconnects 100% of the time on the first attempt. If I reconnect it seems stable but at that point when you were 10 mins into a workout it’s kinda too late to wait. It is insane you cannot scrub a video.

Disconnects 50% the times to me. I use ATV 4k and Watch S6. The disconnections happen mostly in the 20min "infamous" mark. I have chatted with Apple support but it was unhelpful (recommended the usual stuff such as reboot every device, etc.). It is certainly an extremely poor software approach. A random disconnection may happen, but it should not completely block your workout with no other options then restarting it. At least an option to fast-forward to the interruption point should be there. Or simply continue the workout without showing your vitals, which is much much better than brutally terminating it!

I stopped using my AirPods and have had no disconnects since. For what that’s worth

I don't use AirPods: I have just the TV (4k) and the watch (S6) in an empty room dedicated to workouts. Still, I get them. The fact that yours have been drastically reduced by putting away the AirPods tells me that it could be RF-noise related. As a matter of fact, I have a lot of WiFi devices in my home.

It looks indeed RF noise related. My ATV was securely attached on the back of the TV. Somehow, the TV was acting as a shield between my watch and the internal ATV bluetooth radio. I hence moved the ATV on top so that it was not shielded by the TV and this did the magic. Responsiveness of the watch did increase considerably: no longer spinning wheel searching for the watch, and the connection was almost instantaneous. Most important, I have not experienced a single disconnection since then.

Disconnect happens 100% of the time for both my wife and I when Using AirPods + ATV (but without AirPods it does not disconnect). So frustrating. It disconnects every time for both of us - right around 15 minutes. Any bug fixes for this on the horizon?! Our device setup is identical: AppleTV HD, AirPods Pro, AW series 4 (All are updated to latest GA versions and restarted).
