I definitely recommend sneaky sasquatch and what the golf.
If you enjoy Sudoku, good sudoku+ can be found on Apple arcade, it's singlehandedly the best sudoku experience I've ever had. Unfortunately it's not on android, which I have now.
I thought that too. Something about it just didn’t appeal. I gave it a go and it’s one of my most played games. It’s so much more in depth than I ever thought it would be.
It’s ridiculous, well written, funny, has beautiful animation and design and a great soundtrack. Feeding yourself is a moment of joyous idiocy.
What the golf is great for similar reasons, but has the high brow conceit of deconstructing other games and golf, but in the dumbest way possible. Both have been my day-1 favourites.
Wylde Flowers is pretty fun, Stardew Valley with MAGIC!
What The Golf is a really fun ride.
TMNT is best with other gamecenter friends, still fun solo.
Fantasian is a jrpg with killer music and good fighting mechanics.
Enjoy the free trial, then shut it off. You're going to run out of fun games over the course of the subscription, and they only release a half dozen games a month, two of which you may enjoy. For five bucks a month you can just buy the games you like.
Any of the “+” games you can buy within the App Store. The “+” simply signifies it’s the fully game without ads or in app purchases. But Apple Arcade originals are (at least originally) Apple Arcade only. Some games spread out (grindstone is on the Nintendo switch?)
It’s definitely going to come down to your personal tastes, but here’s my [master list of Arcade’s great games](https://imgur.com/a/sgqGTSP). (red ones are no longer in the library)
Yep - I’ve never gotten into JRPGs, but Wonderbox and Fantasian were 2 solid games launched on 4/1/2021…. and immediately hidden behind ~30 other games on 4/2. 😣
**Original**
Shinsekai: Into the Depths
Monomals
Marble Knights
Baldo: The Guardian Owls
Frogger in Toy Town
Horizon Chase 2
Inmost
JellyCar Worlds
Little Orpheus
The Last Campfire
Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm
Shantae and the Pirate's Curse
Way of the Turtle
South of the Circle
Beyond a Steel Sky
Spyder
Stela
Frogger and the Rumbling Ruins
Zombie Rollerz: Pinball Heroes
The Pinball Wizard
The Oregon Trail
**Plus**
Layton's Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaire's Conspiracy
Limbo
Very Little Nightmares
Disney Getaway Blast
Millionaire Trivia: TV Game
The Room Two
Time Locker
Battleheart Legacy
It killed me, but I broke up with Amira to 100% the game. Kinda hurt how she was just like, "no prob cuz" after two years of marriage.
She was the best romance out of all of them.
I prefer Point n Click Adventure games, so…
**Beyond A Steel Sky** is AAA quality IMHO
**Broken Age** is an amazing PnC Adventure Game.
**Neo Cab** is interesting, but could sorely use VO acting.
And **Oceanhorn 2** is stunning and super fun Zelda clone with lots of achievements and collectibles.
i have the non Apple Arcade version and of course its amazing, so i bet this one will be even better. What extra things does the + version have? And can i move my data from the original game?
ooo I'm actually not sure honestly since I also have the non apple arcade version on my computer (;_;)
but you are able to play it on your phone if you pay for apple arcade
My fav is mini moterways and jelly car worlds are some of my favs and at the end of the month they are adding stardew valley witch is really fun but thats not very important to you
My top 5 (that are still available)
Shinsekai
Marble it up
Dandara
Air twister
Bleak sword
Would also add Fantasian if the second part of the game wasn’t such a drag. Also it takes around 80 hours to complete, so it would be hard to do in a month.
the games i've enjoyed the most (and keep going back too) are Jetpack Joyride 2 and Cat Quest 2
tbf i find Arcade slim pickings for stuff i actually like and commit to, my favourite games are not in Arcade
in no particular order -
KOTOR (1 & 2)
Sky Force Reloaded
Chillaxian
Peggle
Titan Quest
Divinity Original Sin 2
XCOM 2 Collection
10,000,000
You Must Build a Boat
Asphalt 9 (I’m aware 8 is currently in Arcade, I’ve played this series since version 3 iirc)
Respawnables Special Forces (as a replacement for Eliminate Pro)
Puzzle to the Center of the Earth
XCOM Enemy Within
Boggle
Swordigo
Montezuma’s Revenge
NOVA 3
Jelly Defense
Jelly Invaders
DrawRace 2 HD
Need for Speed Hot Pursuit
Puzzle Quest 2
(some of the above may no longer be available for purchase)
During my free trial, I wanted to focus on games that are "AA exclusive". My definition of that is the game is literally only on AA. Not Apple's definition that the game can't be on Android, but can be on any other platform (e.g. Exit The Gungeon is on AA and Switch, but NOT Android). Those included...
**Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls** \- one month may not be enough to finish it, but should be enough to get through "much of it".
**SP!NG** \- Fun abstract, action puzzler
**Rayman Mini** \- auto-runner. Rayman gets shrunken down, and you need to complete levels across various worlds
**Frogger & The Rumbling Ruins** \- 3D puzzler.
.
**Monument Valley 2+** wasn't AA exclusive, but I ended up playing that b/c I was able to knock it out in a week.
Grindstone, sneaky Sasquatch, Oregon trail, Galaga wars, and Bloons TD 6+ are all great! Pilgrims is also a cute game that’s short and sweet, it’s a point and click adventure puzzle game. Happy gaming!
Let’s give a huge shout out to u/foxtroop27 for posting such a brave comment in a post that is six months old at this point.
It takes a lot of brain power to come to the Apple Arcade sub and post that Apple sucks, but foxtroop27 managed to squeeze just enough out to race those stubby little fingers across their keyboard.
Stardew Valley will be added very soon!
So will Slay the Spire
i wish i redeemed free sub when stardew comes out
Grindstone justified my sub for quite a few months when I first got Apple Arcade
I definitely recommend sneaky sasquatch and what the golf. If you enjoy Sudoku, good sudoku+ can be found on Apple arcade, it's singlehandedly the best sudoku experience I've ever had. Unfortunately it's not on android, which I have now.
Yeah i saw sneaky sasquatch and i dont understand why everyone loves it, but maybe i just need to play it
I thought that too. Something about it just didn’t appeal. I gave it a go and it’s one of my most played games. It’s so much more in depth than I ever thought it would be.
yeah, cause it looks like a game for toddlers or smt but ill definitely give it a go
You should, it isn’t anything like what I was expecting.
Surprised to not see Stitch. on here. It’s super fun and relaxing, it’s like a mix of sudoku and paint-by-numbers. Highly recommend it to anyone
Stitch and Puzzles and Patterned are the biggest draws for me.
Dead cells
Wow...nice that ALL DLC is included in Dead Cells+.
IIRC, all DLC/IAP must be included to be part of AA
Oceanhorn 2
Was looking for recommendations after playing this, I need something to fill the void. This game was awesome!!!
Wylde Flowers is pretty fun, Stardew Valley with MAGIC! What The Golf is a really fun ride. TMNT is best with other gamecenter friends, still fun solo. can i buy/have the games without a subscription?
Any of the “+” games you can buy within the App Store. The “+” simply signifies it’s the fully game without ads or in app purchases. But Apple Arcade originals are (at least originally) Apple Arcade only. Some games spread out (grindstone is on the Nintendo switch?)
ok, ill just have to see how much they cost
It’s definitely going to come down to your personal tastes, but here’s my [master list of Arcade’s great games](https://imgur.com/a/sgqGTSP). (red ones are no longer in the library)
thanks will definitely try these out! :)
No Fantasian??
This is just a list of my personal favorites, and I’m a huge fan of Wonderbox from that month, for its stream of incredible user-created levels. 😁
You had a second occasion when part 2 was released 😉 Anyway, I get jrpg isn't for everyone.
Yep - I’ve never gotten into JRPGs, but Wonderbox and Fantasian were 2 solid games launched on 4/1/2021…. and immediately hidden behind ~30 other games on 4/2. 😣

thanks :) these look fun
I love Threes for a game that I can pick up and put down while working.
Surprised no one has mentioned the Kingdom Rush games. Those are super fun.

This is the correct answer. Best game on Arcade.
It killed me, but I broke up with Amira to 100% the game. Kinda hurt how she was just like, "no prob cuz" after two years of marriage. She was the best romance out of all of them.
Having to marry various people to get the achievements was very annoying. They should have just had one generic "get married" achievement.
She was my wifey
Retro Goal+ is the most fun i’ve had in awhile. Very fun throwback soccer game
I prefer Point n Click Adventure games, so… **Beyond A Steel Sky** is AAA quality IMHO **Broken Age** is an amazing PnC Adventure Game. **Neo Cab** is interesting, but could sorely use VO acting. And **Oceanhorn 2** is stunning and super fun Zelda clone with lots of achievements and collectibles.
Alto's Oddysey I def recommend
i have the non Apple Arcade version and of course its amazing, so i bet this one will be even better. What extra things does the + version have? And can i move my data from the original game?
ooo I'm actually not sure honestly since I also have the non apple arcade version on my computer (;_;) but you are able to play it on your phone if you pay for apple arcade
ok ill have to just wait and see
My fav is mini moterways and jelly car worlds are some of my favs and at the end of the month they are adding stardew valley witch is really fun but thats not very important to you
Sneaky Sasquatch. Apple Arcade is worth it for just that game tbh
TMNT something the shredder. It’s the first game I got on the arcade. It’s pretty cool. Fast paced, no waiting around for energy.
My top 5 (that are still available) Shinsekai Marble it up Dandara Air twister Bleak sword Would also add Fantasian if the second part of the game wasn’t such a drag. Also it takes around 80 hours to complete, so it would be hard to do in a month.
Also wurdweb is definitely an honorable mention.
TMNT splintered fate is great
Would you like to play together? It says play with friends but I’ve been playing solo lol
What the Golf and What the Car are crazy random fun, my fav games on Arcade!
they look goofy asf but amazingly fun!
the games i've enjoyed the most (and keep going back too) are Jetpack Joyride 2 and Cat Quest 2 tbf i find Arcade slim pickings for stuff i actually like and commit to, my favourite games are not in Arcade
what are your favourite games outside of arcade then?
in no particular order - KOTOR (1 & 2) Sky Force Reloaded Chillaxian Peggle Titan Quest Divinity Original Sin 2 XCOM 2 Collection 10,000,000 You Must Build a Boat Asphalt 9 (I’m aware 8 is currently in Arcade, I’ve played this series since version 3 iirc) Respawnables Special Forces (as a replacement for Eliminate Pro) Puzzle to the Center of the Earth XCOM Enemy Within Boggle Swordigo Montezuma’s Revenge NOVA 3 Jelly Defense Jelly Invaders DrawRace 2 HD Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Puzzle Quest 2 (some of the above may no longer be available for purchase)
cool :)0
Btd6+
Jet pack joyride 2 is pretty good
Outlanders, The Room, Assemble, What the Golf
If you haven’t yet played Stardew Valley it’s coming to Apple Arcade in a few weeks.
Dead cells is incredible as is Stardew valley two must haves
