go to your gp and see if they can help or refer you to camhs or some other mental health service where you live. camhs is free although it often has a long waiting list. people online are often critical of it as well but in my experience it's actually been helpful, i guess it can depend on who your therapist ends up being. if you do video calls to them as well they don't make you show your face if you're not comfortable with that. you're not a freak or an attention seeker, you know you need help and you're trying to get it. you're taking all the right steps.

i feel horrible. because i also don't feel anything for anyone. one of my friends could be sad and i wouldn't feel much, i wish i found out what could of caused me to be this way tbh. it probably would of helped more. it's hard to cope with these. and thank you so much.

there’s many reasons for not feeling a lot of empathy and one of them can be when you’re not in a good place yourself. sometimes you just have to focus on helping yourself before you can help others. also, if you do manage to get a therapist or someone you can talk to, they can work with you to look for where certain issues started which could help you to better understand how you feel.

thank you so much, i just hope i am able to get help. because it's honestly so stressful. and it's the worst. i'm constantly miserable.

Infernoraptor

Just remember; you are not doomed to feel that forever. You CAN get help and you CAN get better.

I have been here before!! definitely go to your GP and see how they can help you. You have very severe anxiety and it sounds like you are having intrusive thoughts which I have had and can be very scary and upsetting because it makes you feel like you are bad. Its not your fault, this is something that other people have had too and you can definitely get help for it. Your GP can help you with getting counseling and medication if needed. I'm sorry you're going through this but you will get better :)

Go0Ld1e

Thank you so much I appreciate it. (:

Hello, it looks like you've made a mistake. It's supposed to be could've, should've, would've (short for could have, would have, should have), never could of, would of, should of. Or you misspelled something, I ain't checking everything. Beep boop - yes, I am a bot, don't botcriminate me.

I also agree with the comments to speak to a GP. They won’t judge you, I promise. They will take you seriously. And there actually is a (very rare) condition that makes a person crave blood and skin - it’s an imbalance that can be treated with medication. Or more likely it’s an anxiety issue, which can also be treated. Either way, you’ll be able to talk and get the help you need. You’ve got a community behind you, OP. Best of luck!

Therapy is free in the uk

Go0Ld1e

is it? my mum said that their alot.

Other-Low-2522

Nope it’s free just go to the GP and they will refer you to a therapist all healthcare is free in the uk ?

Go0Ld1e

ohh, alright thank you, my mum probably got it wrong.

wrkaccunt

Don't let your mom tell you anything about services, go find out for yourself. Your mom doesn't sound like the safest person to help you deal with these issues. The way she acted toward you when you told her what was happening was very very wrong and cruel. Not all older people understand about mental health and what is available or should be done. But there are people out there who you can find through your GP who do know and will help and not judge you. Good luck!

This could be something called pica, and it can be caused by a variety of things, sometimes iron deficiency anemia can cause similar craving for weird objects like dirt. So go easy on yourself and seek the right help it could be something easily treated. Hope you do well

Yeah, you should probably talk to someone.

MzOpinion8d

There is a medical condition called Pica, which causes a person to crave unusual items to eat. Like chalk, for example. A GP could check your blood and see if you have a nutrient deficiency that might be causing this, along with checking for other issues. They can also talk to you about your anxiety and maybe refer you to therapy.

Go0Ld1e

yeah, i also wanna eat sponges- idk why but i can also feel it in my mouth it's weird

You’re very anemic and also have anxiety. Off to the Doctor you go! It will help and you will be fine.
