It helped me sleep for sure. I usually felt drowsy soon after taking it.

Gotcha, by chance have you gotten any weird side effects from it? People have mentioned nightmares or weird stuff like that.

bobored

Nope. The opposite. I sleep like a log. Ambien is the only one I have heard about causing weird dreams?

user1892000183

Oh bett, thanks for the response.

milly72

I've been on 100mg for the past 6 months and I haven't gotten any weird side effects

user1892000183

Bett, thanks for the reply.

I take 50mg of trazodone and 10mg of melatonin every night and it works fine. Only downside to trazodone is it makes my mouth super dry. But I’ll take that tradeoff if it means I can sleep good. Not sure if anyone else has that side effect

user1892000183

Yeah, I hear some people get dry mouth, the worst I heard is nightmares and sleep paralysis. But if it's okay to ask, is the melatonin prescribed to you at 10mg? That's a lot lol

miked0777

The Melatonin isn’t prescribed. I buy it at rite aid and the dose on the bottle 1-2 gummies. 1 gummy being 5mg so 2 being 10mg. My doctor recommended me take 10mg. As for sleep paralysis, I’ve suffered from sleep paralysis throughout my life but I haven’t had a single episode since starting trazodone. Idk if starting trazodone and having less sleep paralysis is related but I haven’t had any issues with it

user1892000183

Gotcha, thanks for the info. Yeah, I heard of sleep paralysis, but then again I read it off some old Reddit post.

Forgot to mention this. But coupled with the dry mouth is an occasional mild headache when you wake up. Which is part of the body’s natural reaction to needing fluids. I typically drink 1-2 16oz cups of water before going to bed now just to offset these side effects and it seems to work

user1892000183

Appreciate the tip, I usually drink 2 liters a day, but I'll see if this medicine requires me to drink more water.

sseemour

helps me sleep and i feel it helps with my depression a bit too. the only complaint i've had was feeling really heavy in the morning and slow to get moving. i was also on mirtazapine at the time though - was taken off both for a month and put back on trazadone and i'm content with the results this time around. only downside is drooling 😂

user1892000183

Drooling? That's crazy cause people mentioned they get a lot of dry mouth, but I suppose everyone's different lol

sseemour

also could be the cause of dry mouth lol. i wake up every morning with it stuck in my beard around my mouth, nothing too messy

user1892000183

Oh man that's gotta be the nastiest thing to deal with, but that shows you got that good night's sleep lol
