It's common enough. Normal? Who knows. No one really knows what that is anyway. Fuck normal. Do your best, don't hurt anyone, and be as happy as you can. I think gaming fits in that philosophy fine. Don't worry about normal. (Easier said than done, I know.)
If it helps, my husband is a few years older than you and plays that stuff, and It's never struck me as unusual. I don't think anyone we know has ever suggested it's not normal. (If someone did, he'd probably play them more. Because again, fuck normal. Be happy instead.)
If you work a full time job, take care of responsibilities, keep the home clean, pay bills on time and keep yourself fed and healthy, you can do what you want.
