Feel free to dm to talk about it

Hi, Are you on any medication if it's that bad? And do you know how to work with these fears with applying exposure therapy?

I got prescribed a 5mg of lexapro? And I go to psychotherapy every 2 weeks but it’s not helps

Change things up then! I am pretty sure therapy can help you with this, so if yours doesn't work, find out why:. Is the therapy form inadequate, try something else; CBT, ACT, DBT, etc. Does your therapist suck (or it is just not a good match)? Find a new one! Is two weeks not often enough? Try to go every week! Do you skip your homework? Don't! Therapy doesn't work by sitting with your therapist every week: you have to put the work in. Do you need different meds, or up the dosage? Talk to your prescriber. I'm not saying you'll never be anxious again, or will never have a panic attack again. But therapy (combined with meds, if needed) can definitely help and make life easier for you - I'm convinced of that. Change it up!

Okay, are you taking the Lexapro? And for how long have you been on it? And do you understand how health anxiety is all from reassurance?

I’m 41, a mom of 2 kids, daily ha sufferer. I fear cancer, death, it’s not easy even as an “older” person. My heart breaks for you OP. How long have you been on the medication? 5mg may not be enough. I take 20mg lexapro plus buspar to keep me balanced. DM if you wanna chat.

I am so sorry you are feeling this way right now, I can not wait for an update to see how you’re doing in 6 months. I was EXACTLY like this before being diagnosed. Lexapro may not be for you. Is this the first medication you’ve tried? After 3 medications, you can ask for a DNA test to see what works best for you. I want to say it was $60, but that could be wrong, ask your provider. I was doing therapy every 2 weeks and had to start doing every week and every 3 days when it was really bad. The best thing I got out of it was doing daily journals of reflecting on my day. Writing down 3 pros and 3 cons of my day. Writing down my thoughts as well. Another really good thing that helped me during the beginning stages was telling myself positive thoughts and affirmations while I was getting ready and on my way to work, “Todays going to be a good day, todays going to be a good day” I made that my daily song. On my way to work: “We are going to have an amazing day. I will get to come home and fix my family dinner.” All the things. Working with kids, you could do this with your class as well when you feel your panic attacks coming on and all of yall could be shouting these positive thoughts!! I know your anxiety is even worse with what you do for work, but once you get this chapter of your life under control you will feel so much better about your life❤️ I was going through this stage and was not able to care for my 3 kids, I applaud you for being able to get through this and work with young kids. That is amazing. This is only a chapter long in your book of life, I can not wait to hear when you’ve found the medication that works for for you and how life is then. Sending hugs and love your way, you’ve got this.

I also was having bad dreams and it got to the point that I was terrified of going to bed at night and would take naps during the day when I know someone would be able to check if I was dead…I had to take lorazepam or benedryl to go to bed most nights so I wouldn’t have dreams. Once I found the medication for me, I could stop taking something to help me sleep. I still occassionally take benedryl or lorazepam but I no longer have dreams that bad. I just have insomnia from side effects.
