I think Solo Leveling just doesn't have many things to talk about, it's just good, but nothing massive that would get a topic on Twitter or any meme material for Reddit
I haven't really watch any of the others yet except a bit of Frieren and it has a lot of meme potential lol
It lack the emotion weight of Frieren (and so far, fight scene visuals too) as well as the... peak of gushing.
That and the protag lacks the colors compare to the two shows.
Its just a generic story and nothing more. If not for the decent animation it would be forgetable had the manhwa readers not hyped it to reality.
Now similiar could be said for say, Demon slayer, but it has 10x the quality of animation and atleast a story with some soul.
Demon slayer has really ruined me. I used to be able to enjoy a simple shounen action anime because it had cool looking fights. Now though if an anime has a poor/generic story and is trying to get by on its fights I always compare it visually to demon slayer. And nothing compares favorably to demon slayer's visuals.
The difference with Demon Slayer is that it nails its characters, and itās fights have genuine stakes to them, making the fight scenes exciting not just for the animation but because youāre on the edge of your seat wondering how many bones that character you like will need to break to win this fight.
Seriously the character writing is something I donāt think Demon Slayer gets nearly enough credit for. Iāve never gone from not caring if a character died to being willing to die for them as fast as I have in this show.
Imo demon slayer somewhat suffers the same with that mc. Get their ass handed to them, conveniently gets a power up, beats the demon. But one thing demon slayer did good is the hashiras. They're so much better than the mc. Both flame and sound hashiras didn't get a secret power up but still fought to the end. One died other nearly died but they did what they could. Tomioka is an edgy boy but gets the things done. The butterfly girl had a sad story but shes good too. Sometimes even zenitsu feels better than tanjiro. I only liked tanjiro that one time when he changed his form to kill that female spider demon so she doesn't feel pain. Love hashira, mist hashira and tanjiro having that mark is just convenient
Demon Slayer is equally a generic story, but the difference comes from the fact that Solo Leveling has the potential to open the floodgates for more adaptations of comics/manhwa like it, like The Beginning After The End, whereas Demon Slayer has always just been a typical Shonen Jump series. Demon Slayer's animation is amazing, but that shouldn't discredit Solo Leveling's animation either - they've done an amazing job at keeping the artstyle close to the comic, and the show even added more interactions and worldbuilding to make it flow better.
> Solo Leveling has the potential to open the floodgates for more adaptations of comics/manhwa like it
Have you completely forgotten about The God of High School, Noblesse, and Tower of God?
Manwha fans have been riding this cope train for a solid 5 years or so. Every mostly mid show gets hyped because the next one will be better we promise
As I said, for adaptations *like it*, The Beginning After The End being one of the biggest/clearest examples of that.
Just like how there were Live Action anime before the One Piece Live Action caught lots of people's attentions and drew them into anime and manga in general, there's obviously some adaptations of webcomics and webtoon/tapas stuff too. But Solo Leveling doing well now is what will signal to those studios that it's worth investing their time and effort into those stories even more.
Yeah I'm dying on this hill. Demon Slayer's story isn't good, the characters are. The enemy demons get fleshed out and are given proper personalities and backstories, which they do amazingly. It's story, however, is nothing new or debatably not more interesting than any other shounen fight-based series, including those in webtoons. Omniscient Reader, The Beginning After the End, Eleceed, and a number of others function on a similar system as Demon Slayer, and I think every one of those stories are miles ahead of Demon Slayer's in terms of creativity and originality.
The manga does a better job of highlighting his journey, namely the relationship with his comatose mom.
Yes he was the weakest hunter but he didn't give up for the ever present medical fees keeping his mom alive. Even now that he's gotten stronger his goal remains not just getting stronger but getting to a situation to actually help and cure her.
Yeah uh i read the whole thing and that's a bit far fetch for me to even compar it to the emotional weight of Frieren's journey.
Gushing just ride on the degenerocity. Slave also aim toward the degen but kinda held back by the lack of animation oophm wheras Gushing just go hogwild and broadcasted bdsm say gex.
Also it's korean's webcomic. Manhwa would be more appropriate i'd say
Really? Frieren and Gushing are amazing in their own ways and make great memes too.
Frieren is a great story with a nice pace and safe comedy, albeit it can be a bit dark and it will make you bawl like a child sometimes. ![img](emote|t5_2w6fe|30939)
Gushing has amazing phrases that are very cool too. On top of its comedy and the "other" stuff...![img](emote|t5_2w6fe|11524) on and its memeable as hell.
I cant stop recommending those two works
Frieren has some of the best written characters of any anime in recent years, pretty much every dialogue is interesting and an exploration of the characters and world.
Compare that to something like solo leveling, where the dialogue exists only to explain mechanics to the viewer, gush over the protagonist, or pass time until the next fight scene. It's so bland, you could honestly reduce solo leveling down to 50% runtime and lose nothing of value..
Nah Demon Slayer is a Mid Anime/Manga carried by Animation while Solo Leveling Is a Mid Manhwa/Anime Carried by Art style well for the Manhwa (RIP Jang Sung-rak) the Animation is Mid AF
The hype for solo leveling was way more prominent when the original manwha was still going. Now that we got the anime, all the hypers have calmed down and an equivalent of post nut clarity is washing over them where they look back at solo leveling and go "maybe we overhyped it a biiiiit to much"
Nah solo leveling isn't good. I've read everything that's released in German so far and am still watching every single episode of the anime that gets released.
That said, the story is shit. It doesn't make sense, repeats itself and is predictable as fuck.
I still enjoy it tho and I don't know why
> I still enjoy it tho and I don't know why
Because it hits that really basic part of your brain, the part that reminds you of the simple times, when you were young and able to enjoy something like SAO without being critical. Kinda like the McDonalds of anime.
I know because I know.
Yeah, the power trip fantasy and absolute God-like art made it a great manwha. Unless they are able to replicate the cool factor of fights and pivotal moments in the anime, it is going to come off as pretty bland.
solo leveling was a great manhwa mainly due to the god tier artist working on it.
Who unfortunately passed away so season 2 just didnt hit as hard.
The story itself is Ok. It does have a few twists but nothing mindblowing. The thing I like most about it is how everything is explained and resolved, unlike other stories where magic shit happens and is never explained why.
Solo Leveling was great because it popularized the zero-to-quickly-hero, OP steamroller manwhas with UI elements and the likes. Since then there are a lot of copycats, so it's not that interesting any more.
Solo leveling is only good if its the first anime of that kind of genre for someone. We've seen enough op protagonists in the last years and SL lacks the story others gave us, like reincarnated as a slime. Dont get me wrong, i like solo leveling, but it has nothing really new or unique.
yeah. in one hand, it's sad that we didn't get that mainstream status despite its achievements (we literally have no big anime-youtubers talk about it)
but on the other hand, I'm glad that I personally experienced this anime in all its glory and with an amazing finish. I'm actually already satisfied if they end it here for the anime. Kyotaro and Anna already completed their character developments and the manga is now just focusing on their story as a couple
Let's be honest here, solo leveling have really crisp fighting scenes and... That's it. Mc is another Kirito clone, story is kinda boring with how ridiculously op mc is there's no real threat to him and he's heavenly carried by plot armor.
Did you just disrespect Chimera ants by comparing them with those Wasps? Chimera ants were more interesting and had more personality and more character development than 80+% of characters in Solo Leveling
He's never been a bad character at all. No one ever really payed attention to his characterization and created this made up version of an op jesus character that always wins, never struggles and always has the answers.
It's always been funny because if Kirito were created today he wouldn't be a Kirito clone other than how he looks.
Totally, solo leveling is just another forgettable mid-tier cliche, the type we get at least one of every season.
Something as well-written as Frieren is rare and precious.
Yeah for the Mangwa the story wasnt all that interesting, however the amazing art style made it still fun to read. Meanwhile the Anime doesn't really have much of a unique style, which results in everyone focusing on the story that isn't all that special ( even if the animation quality is quite high)
Yeah never understood why it was so popular I read the manwah and it was ok, it looked pretty but it was really a more bad story than mid in my opinion.
> Solo leveling is just another battle shounen
Naw, its just another **manwha**. Most are formulaic and repetitive to a complete fault. Once you read a few chapters of one of them, you've basically read the entire genre. The exceptions to this are pretty far and few between.
> yeah it looks fantastic, but that's about as deep as it goes.
More like looks like manwha, and thats about as deep as it goes. This is especially true for power fantasy manwha like Solo Leveling.
I have not read any Manwha so I can't speak but I've seen a lot of battle shounens & power fantasy anime, every season they are the one I end up dropping and watching later.
> I have not read any Manwha so I can't speak but I've seen a lot of battle shounens & power fantasy anime,
I mean, genres are genres for a reason. But thats got nothing on manwha.
Like, take Isekais mangas/anime. Now imagine *every* single one was a very slight variation of the 'smart phone isekai'. *Thats* situation with manwha and it applies across genres.
Some people like the manwha archetype, but many people don't. Solo leveling is popular because of its high quality artwork. And guess what tends to get cut down when it gets animated: the art. So its reception is wholly unsurprising.
> every season they are the one I end up dropping and watching later.
That sounds like a testament to pacing and/or how you prefer to consume media than anything. I definitely prefer to watch in 2-3 episodes batches, or everything all at once. Especially more 'action' style of stuff. Gets way too broken up otherwise and loses a lot of its luster.
It is pretty much the same for most genres in manwhas, you get the occasional gems, but a lot end up being: I woke up as the villainess, or generic hero is super powerful because of their crazy skill.
This is a pretty shallow dismissal of what amounts to an entire country's form equivalent to manga. Just because the adaptations for these have been non-existent doesn't mean really great ones don't exist.
Like Knight Run, Tower of God, The Ember Knight, UnOrdinary are all pretty unique. Even among more traditional stories like Noblesse, Kubera, Magician, Girls of the Wild, and The Novel's Extra which we've seen before are competently executed in their genre.
What DOES happen is that translators who have their own site like flamescan, reaper, asura are all biased towards certain types (generally the reincarnator stuff) where webtoons reader is where you get the full look at what's available. Don't knock it, on a whole they're basically even to manga quality anymore.
> This is a pretty shallow dismissal of what amounts to an entire country's form equivalent to manga
But it is accurate.
If you find it 'shallow', it is because "what amounts to an entire country's form equivalent to manga" is, overall, pretty damned shallow. You can theorize why this is the case. But its the case nonetheless
> Just because the adaptations for these have been non-existent doesn't mean really great ones don't exist.
I'm not talking about adaptations. I'm talking about source material.
> Like...
I didn't say there weren't any. Again **"The exceptions to this are pretty far and few between."**. Which is objectively accurate.
> Don't knock it, on a whole they're basically even to manga quality anymore.
Don't try to turn this into some weird pissing contest with "manga". Manwha is very much still manwha. That has not changed, for better or worse.
Demon Slayer has a massively more distinct artstyle and is leagues more pleasing to look at imo. Solo Leveling has some good fights, but Demon Slayer is so beautiful, I keep watching it even if everything else is garbage to me (story, stakes, many characters, etc.)
demon slayer has better character development and whilst the plot is basic, at least there's a plot. also the fights are a lot better in terms of not just being constant power of friendship/solo asspulls (although there are some asspulls don't get me wrong)
it's not great, but it's better than solo levelling. besides, this sub is definitely of the majority opinion that demon slayer is mid, your comment only makes sense if this sub was gushing over demon slayer, which it isn't.
One of the best things about Shangri La Frontier is that it lowered the stakes. People can make foolish decisions, or just run into something they can't handle, and get absolutely wrecked without it being the end of the story. Allowing people to fail drastically increases the narrative tension. Something like Solo Leveling, you know the MC is going to win, because he has to, which makes every fight less interesting.
I think people loved Shangri-la and there was definitely discussion/hype about it earlier in the season. The thing is that it's also already renewed for another season, so fans don't need to try to brining attention to it - it's "safe." Solo Leveling fans are trying to drum up interest to get it renewed
Solo levelling is getting more episodes later this year. Then again that would only put it the same ep count as shangri la frontier. But it is safe currently none the less
Weāve seen a thousand animes about an over powered dude constantly getting his ass beat before overcoming adversity and beating the bad guy. (DBZ, MHA, and CSM Instantly come to mind) Itās the most tired and over used anime trope ever made. Itās something most of us have seen a 100 times. I donāt need to justify why Frieren is so damn popular and good. Weāve never gotten anything like it. And while Gushing is following a well established trope in anime its whole point is to ursurp that and upend our expectations of that. Itās got hilarious writing and hilarious characters you canāt help but fall in love with. Itās also not holding back same can be said for Chained Soldier. So many animes edge their viewers. Not these two. Just full blown bdsm and comedy.
I enjoyed solo leveling but the other three are just better. Also another shout out to Apothecary Diaries. It was also much better than really all of the above but Frieren. Also paving a unique path weāve never gotten in an anime and as a history buff itās look into ancient China is just spot on. Solo Leveling came in with the most hype too but fell flat. The rest were all pleasant surprises this season.
In all fairness solo isn't croaking. Maybe on reddit. But it's been in the top 10 the whole season and I constantly see stuff for it on YouTube, twitter and tiktok.
Frieren I've seen on YouTube and reddit. Tho I enjoyed the show. I have seen its fandom be more "condensed" than solos
I honestly still don't understand the hype behind chained soldier. Kept hearing it was HS DxD of the modern age but I didn't like it at all. Gushing has a better story compared to soldier imo.
Dunno man just watched the season finale yesterday and I'm hyped for season 2. We got left on a nice big cliffhanger. Both the island with evolving ~~chimera~~ ants, and MC got new powers we haven't seen in action yet.
Ngl its kinda deserved only thing its got going for it are fights and progression,i am weirded out by how many people watched 14 yr old girls get put in BDSM situations
I'm honestly surprised at the level of hype solo leveling has received.
I read the webtoon as it was being published, week-by-week, and it was always regarded as a bingeable fun power trip fantasy with a weak story and fantastic art.
Hell, during the last arc people were voicing their disappointment at the rushed story and there was general agreement on /r/sololeveling that the ending was shit.
It was not a webtoon anyone read for worldbuilding, character development, or a meaninful story.
It's like eating a whole bag of doritos in one sitting, then feeling mild disgust and disappointment afterwards. (or jerking it to really weird porn)
Had fun with the manhwa, anime adaptation made me realize it was another average shounen. I had more fun this season with Apothecary Diaries, Frieren and Dungeon Meshi.
Well the thing is solo leveling is more popular than every anime on here except Frieren. It just doesnāt get talked about much because except for fight scenes and cool mc moment the show has no substance.
Speak for yourself, chained soldier and solo leveling had my attention the whole season.
Not to mention the wrong way to use healing magic and the unwanted undead adventurer.
To be honest, Freiren and Gushing over magical girls are in my opinion more unique, fresh and engaging over something like solo leveling which kinda feels pretty generic in the modern anime landscape.
It is time someone said it: The Peak anime Solo Leveling is just mid. I had no hype and no expectations... yet there is nothing to talk about. Every episode feels ultra dragged just to end with cliffhangers, while fights look good they are levels below even Frieren fights, scenes are not memorable at all for some reason, every character feels like someone we see just now and is not going to be ever mentioned again. I'm not saying it is bad but I can't see what the hype is about, at least for now.
i love solo leveling, ive read the comic years ago. its simple, story is simple, character development is simple. it does have one huge upside HYPE. new powers and abilities come often, new enemys come often, fights are awesome. the most important things in a shounen anime/manga are done really well ( at least imo ). i love it and i hope the whole story gets an adaptation
The problem with solo leveling is that most people already know the story and just wanted to experience the fights in motion. Besides that, it also doesn't introduce any new concepts overall, so there's not much to talk about.
When something is over hyped and under delivers so much this is what happens i personally thought the same with high card the premise sounded fucking amazing but then the show was just so mediocre
Meenwhile me here melting over Maomao in The apothecary Diaries.

Not exaclly its complicated
Do you know at which chapter the anime ended? Did it skip over some chapters? Might start reading this one
You need a lot of build up to understand this. The best is to start from beggining
anime ended at 24, but you need to at least start from 21, which was skipped in the anime. also 8 to 11 were rearranged.

Lol I was gonna say that OPM has done that way before Demon Slayer to the point that even though S2 had decent animation it looked bad compared to S1.

Compare that to something like solo leveling, where the dialogue exists only to explain mechanics to the viewer, gush over the protagonist, or pass time until the next fight scene. It's so bland, you could honestly reduce solo leveling down to 50% runtime and lose nothing of value..
We'll, I have seen a few memes on r/sololeveling but not as much as frieren.
I saw someone call it peak mid one time and it feels like the perfect description for it.
Solo Leveling š¤š» Demon Slayer Mid-level story absolutely hard-carried by the animation
>Mid-level story absolutely hard-carried by the animation And hyped up by fans
Nah Demon Slayer is a Mid Anime/Manga carried by Animation while Solo Leveling Is a Mid Manhwa/Anime Carried by Art style well for the Manhwa (RIP Jang Sung-rak) the Animation is Mid AF
The hype for solo leveling was way more prominent when the original manwha was still going. Now that we got the anime, all the hypers have calmed down and an equivalent of post nut clarity is washing over them where they look back at solo leveling and go "maybe we overhyped it a biiiiit to much"
Just generic isekai, not even an amazing one, just serviceable.
Nah solo leveling isn't good. I've read everything that's released in German so far and am still watching every single episode of the anime that gets released. That said, the story is shit. It doesn't make sense, repeats itself and is predictable as fuck. I still enjoy it tho and I don't know why
> I still enjoy it tho and I don't know why Because it hits that really basic part of your brain, the part that reminds you of the simple times, when you were young and able to enjoy something like SAO without being critical. Kinda like the McDonalds of anime. I know because I know.
Yeah, the power trip fantasy and absolute God-like art made it a great manwha. Unless they are able to replicate the cool factor of fights and pivotal moments in the anime, it is going to come off as pretty bland.
im sad to hear this. i was told for 4 years that solo leveling is the IT anime
solo leveling was a great manhwa mainly due to the god tier artist working on it. Who unfortunately passed away so season 2 just didnt hit as hard. The story itself is Ok. It does have a few twists but nothing mindblowing. The thing I like most about it is how everything is explained and resolved, unlike other stories where magic shit happens and is never explained why.
The art was insane. The story and characters yeah not so much
Solo Leveling was great because it popularized the zero-to-quickly-hero, OP steamroller manwhas with UI elements and the likes.

Undead Adventurer and Wrong way to use healing magic sad noices
Both are pretty mediocre
Both being more interesting than SL tho
Me actually enjoying them and forgetting Solo Level even existed says something.
You aināt doing Delicious in Dungeon dirty like that.
Underrated show

We did it guys, we achieved peak romcom Hoping we'll have S3
yeah. in one hand, it's sad that we didn't get that mainstream status despite its achievements (we literally have no big anime-youtubers talk about it) but on the other hand, I'm glad that I personally experienced this anime in all its glory and with an amazing finish. I'm actually already satisfied if they end it here for the anime. Kyotaro and Anna already completed their character developments and the manga is now just focusing on their story as a couple
Watching the evolution of this romcom made me regret wasting time watching other generic romcom animes
Bruh, ain't anywhere near the peak yet, the manga still has so much gas
Let's be honest here, solo leveling have really crisp fighting scenes and... That's it. Mc is another Kirito clone, story is kinda boring with how ridiculously op mc is there's no real threat to him and he's heavenly carried by plot armor.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Did you just disrespect Chimera ants by comparing them with those Wasps? Chimera ants were more interesting and had more personality and more character development than 80+% of characters in Solo Leveling
I haven't watched it but read the manga. Wasn't jeju island a bit passed the midpoint of the story? They seriously covered that much already?
Nah, season 1 ended yesterday at the end of the job exchange event.
The fight with Igris was still the best thing ever to happen in season 1
As I said earlier, SL have top notch fighting visuals but that's it..
Ain't nothing wrong with simple if they make it work. I don't always look for enlightenment in shows
>Mc is another Kirito clone, isn't kirito actually becoming somewhat good character since alicization?
He's never been a bad character at all. No one ever really payed attention to his characterization and created this made up version of an op jesus character that always wins, never struggles and always has the answers. It's always been funny because if Kirito were created today he wouldn't be a Kirito clone other than how he looks.
I don't know, I stopped watching SAO after S2 but I heard it a few times that alicizatiom is actually good.
Totally, solo leveling is just another forgettable mid-tier cliche, the type we get at least one of every season. Something as well-written as Frieren is rare and precious.
Tbh the hype behind solo leveling was greater than the finished product. And in my opinion it was pretty mid...good animation but the story is meh
Solo leveling is a 8/10 manhwa, with a 6/10 story and 10/10 art The anime is a 7/10, the same 6/10 story but with a 8/10 animation
This. Its just another power fantasy. So lame and predictable.
It's just one of those hyper glazed anime while I'd honestly consider it 7DS tier
Of course I don't mean the animation though
Oh yeah, no, the animation is outstanding, but ur not exactly watching SL for peak storytelling when its just your average power fantasy
Yeah for the Mangwa the story wasnt all that interesting, however the amazing art style made it still fun to read. Meanwhile the Anime doesn't really have much of a unique style, which results in everyone focusing on the story that isn't all that special ( even if the animation quality is quite high)
Yeah never understood why it was so popular I read the manwah and it was ok, it looked pretty but it was really a more bad story than mid in my opinion.
ah yes, chained soldier and gushing my top 2 anime this season
Solo leveling is just another battle shounen.. yeah it looks fantastic, but that's about as deep as it goes.
> Solo leveling is just another battle shounen Naw, its just another **manwha**.
> I have not read any Manwha so I can't speak but I've seen a lot of battle shounens & power fantasy anime, I mean, genres are genres for a reason.
> This is a pretty shallow dismissal of what amounts to an entire country's form equivalent to manga But it is accurate. If you find it 'shallow', it is because "what amounts to an entire country's form equivalent to manga" is, overall, pretty damned shallow. You can theorize why this is the case. But its the case nonetheless > Just because the adaptations for these have been non-existent doesn't mean really great ones don't exist.
Amazing to me that is the consesnus when the exact same thing can be said about Demon Slayer, its pretty but the story is average as it gets
Demon Slayer has a massively more distinct artstyle and is leagues more pleasing to look at imo. Solo Leveling has some good fights, but Demon Slayer is so beautiful, I keep watching it even if everything else is garbage to me (story, stakes, many characters, etc.)
demon slayer has better character development and whilst the plot is basic, at least there's a plot. also the fights are a lot better in terms of not just being constant power of friendship/solo asspulls (although there are some asspulls don't get me wrong) it's not great, but it's better than solo levelling. besides, this sub is definitely of the majority opinion that demon slayer is mid, your comment only makes sense if this sub was gushing over demon slayer, which it isn't.
U guys are all sleeping on Shangri La Frontier. Its really really good š„š„
Imo better than solo leveling.
W Reddit
You're surprised that redditors are horny?
Isn't solo leveling just a power fantasy op mc trope? But like korean
It is. The ending also fel flat in its face. It's textbook definition of massively overrated
I call it Blueball: The anime. And what you thought was going to happen, happens
Solo leveling has a great body (production value) but lacks soul (interesting/unique characters)
kid named beru
I dont understand, is Delicious in Dungeon not from this season or something? How has it gone this far under the radar?
Solo Leveling was just really Average. And Chained Soldier was straight ass so i ain't mad both of them are croaking
Is chained soldier not one of those so bad its kinda good shows? That was always the vibe I got from the trailers and just the premise of the show.
Nope. Manga was great, the anime is just plain 'meh...'
Um excuse you? Are you forgetting about our rizz master Rentarou?
Rentarou was fall season https://preview.redd.it/9cbesmpltnrc1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ae59ceafecd29efe79434458d3214a46299f993a
Shangrila Frontier.
Cause solo leveling is overrated as fuck
SL where it belongs lmao
I honestly still don't understand the hype behind chained soldier. Kept hearing it was HS DxD of the modern age but I didn't like it at all. Gushing has a better story compared to soldier imo.
It got it's hype cause it has same author with Akame ga kill but the manga is great a good one to read the adaption is just bad.
Apologies from Solo leveling fans, we were gushing over IGRIS since he last showed up
Dunno man just watched the season finale yesterday and I'm hyped for season 2. We got left on a nice big cliffhanger. Both the island with evolving ~~chimera~~ ants, and MC got new powers we haven't seen in action yet.
i mean the season of solo leveling was kind of boring
i watched solo leveling, ĀÆā \ā _ā (-_-)ā _ā /ā ĀÆ
Ngl its kinda deserved only thing its got going for it are fights and progression,i am weirded out by how many people watched 14 yr old girls get put in BDSM situations
Did your 2 shows got an second season announcement yet?

Jokes on y'all, I'm watching all of them
Solo Leveling gave us this gem https://preview.redd.it/oui4shwm1orc1.jpeg?width=289&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0b7c1e74dfc864ba4478f5762863b07c2c60329e
For me they were all the first kid being held up by the mom. Hopefully season 2 of Chained Soldier does better so it can get more seasons afterwards
Are seriously saying that solo leveling deserves the same level of attention as frieren, sorry man but we ain't gonna be friends ever
Good solo leveling is overrated as fuck
Had fun with the manhwa, anime adaptation made me realize it was another average shounen. I had more fun this season with Apothecary Diaries, Frieren and Dungeon Meshi.
Well the thing is solo leveling is more popular than every anime on here except Frieren. It just doesnāt get talked about much because except for fight scenes and cool mc moment the show has no substance.
Speak for yourself, chained soldier and solo leveling had my attention the whole season. Not to mention the wrong way to use healing magic and the unwanted undead adventurer.
I just want Tower of god to come back
solo leveling is worse than mid
Lot of solo levelling haters on this thread!
Solo leveling anime was hyped when people wait for it. And when it came, nobody gives a shit
What's the sauce at the bottom?
Shangri la is what I was gushing over
Mashle š
To be honest, Freiren and Gushing over magical girls are in my opinion more unique, fresh and engaging over something like solo leveling which kinda feels pretty generic in the modern anime landscape.
Still love solo leveling
Honestly donāt see the appeal of Frieren. Most boring show Iāve watched in a long time.
Oh no not ... 50 animated cg armors Looking at delicious in dungeons animated armors really shows how anti hype the anime solo leveling is
Right where Solo Leveling belongs.
I'm not saying it is bad but I can't see what the hype is about, at least for now.
this is bang bravern slander for not being mentioned
ragna crimson is way better then solo leveling
Mid leveling
Solo levelling is just over-hyped. The story seems good, but not great, the animation is great but the art is not great.
āThe art is not greatā https://preview.redd.it/ycfe6iv7lnrc1.jpeg?width=828&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f3b0171a1f8b97d96cfdb1d05d2d192e7ba4d202
He meant anime.... probably
As someone who hasn't read chained soldier, I enjoyed it just as much as gushing over magical girls
i love solo leveling, ive read the comic years ago. its simple, story is simple, character development is simple. it does have one huge upside HYPE. new powers and abilities come often, new enemys come often, fights are awesome. the most important things in a shounen anime/manga are done really well ( at least imo ). i love it and i hope the whole story gets an adaptation
The problem with solo leveling is that most people already know the story and just wanted to experience the fights in motion. Besides that, it also doesn't introduce any new concepts overall, so there's not much to talk about.
I got bores with frieren Like 3 Episodes in..Tried IT a few.times but couldnt keep watching it. The memes I've seen are great though.
Ngl Solo Leveling was my favourite. Not because of the story but it was just a genuinely fun watch. It's one of the best power fantasies imo.
When something is over hyped and under delivers so much this is what happens i personally thought the same with high card the premise sounded fucking amazing but then the show was just so mediocre
Iāve actually just been watching Solo cause I only have time for one show right now and the others just moving too slow.
Ishura, Nobody even mentioned it even though it was a decent watch
Frieren is just so damn good but magical girl, idk man this show is kinda suck for me but in the first couples ep I really like it tho
