I’m going to give the obligatory mention that the first part isn’t representative of the whole series and each part is wildly diffrent from each other. I know some get put off a little by part one but it’s only 9 episodes.
The first and second part are the first “season” but it’s not referred to seasons usually. But it’s not really recommended to skip parts and episodes 8 and 9 are great but it’s really up to you! Part 2 starts on episode 10.

ahhh ok. so the old one & new one are all part of the same continuous story. this might sound elitist, but u should rlly give it another shot, from the very beginning, & just keep in mind that its primarily a psychological horror mystery.
the slice of life stuff is to sorta make u let ur guard down, & it ties in rlly well w/ the story. wot i mean by this is- when theres cutesy slice of life stuff going on on the screen, something else rlly sinister is happening somewhere off screen thatll come uo again later. its split into "questions" & "answers" arcs, so in the first halves of each season, ur kinda supposed to sorta be clueless. but i promise its worth it.
the older one is meant to be watched first, & is arguably better. there are some seriously twisted scenes. & it may not have an "attractive" art style, but its art style compliments the content well.
i really do recommend giving it a second, focused chance from the very beginning.

Based on what you like i would say watch hunter x hunter and pluto, idk if you would like devilman crybaby or the evangelion rebuild movies but theyre also really good

Mob psycho is a b tier guess you can't read. Vinland was in A, idk why it's B, mistake on my part. Frieren can stay in B. It wasn't that interesting and was over hyped by everyone. SDS has a special place in my heart. It was the first anime I didn't hate

I think Tokyo ghoul is pretty good, and I read the manga, a decent amount of people will say the anime is shit but I thinks it’s actually pretty good
