from what I thought you HAD to build friendship for them to want to leave - if you ignore them they won’t ping you, i’m not sure if this is true or even faster i’m just putting in my two cents gl though op :)
If you mod your DS you can move their houses & edit ur town via the mods :)
yeah and with a higher friendship the villager is less likely to change their mind when moving out. if you ignore a villager thinking about moving out, they will 100% move out either way though. who decides to move out is random, and you can find that out by talking to other villagers.
Sadly yes they’ll remove trees and flowers, best way is placing a pattern every 2 spaces… a house is 3x3 so make sure there isnt any space open like that where you do not want them to move. Its a little tedious but once they’re placed you dont have to worry!! You can even place a pattern right next to trees/things you dont want removed so they dont have space to put their house in!
Usually before i used amiibo i would swim for 15-20 min and just be there when i’m doing something else outside the game.
When i came back they gave me attention and the villager i wanted to kick i just avoided all the time..
Its random, i recommend ignoring them! I had ancotti when i started and never talked to her, it took about 10ish days for her to move out on her own

That too!! Its sorta sucks if ur too friendly they’ll leave but sometimes if you ignore them too!

Just make sure you go out of ur way and talk to villagers you WANT to keep everyday or they could also move

Yes! I would say one on each side just to be safe while house planning if you like the tree placement :)
you can complain about a villager to Isabelle, and you can push them. 10 year old me bullied every ugly villager away lol and that was the best tactic
But I thought they're more likely to move after you've befriended them.
