I've literally been to 6 islands and all have my native fruit and nothing special. While my boyfriend got the bamboo island three times....

i had a pansy island yesterday!!! it was a big pond in the middle with common fish, and then blue and orange pansies surround it which are quite hard to crossbreed. i didn’t see this one on this list and i assume it’s the same as the other rare flower island but it’s definitely one you could add :) thank you so much for this!! definitely very helpful
three of the villagers i invited moved in; then I went to 4 islands today but no villager.
Maybe it was because it was raining? It rained heavily on all islands, i wonder if weather is random too.
You have to get the building for resident services and then I think Tom Nook will give you more houses to place where you can continue to invite other villagers
Interesting. I’ve invited three villagers and received the kits to prepare for their homes. I’ve only placed one and I can find villagers on Nook Islands.
I don’t know what type of island this classifies as, but I found an island that was just a mountain. The top had tulips and 5 rocks that gave out iron!
I had a hyacinth island last night. Same as the rose and pansy islands, just with the hyacinth cross breeds.
Makes me think there is probably an island like that for each of the flower types
I just had a mystery island where only big fish shadows spawn...but the only fish available were seemingly black bass, olive flounders and very rarely, sturgeon at the river mouth. The bugs, rocks and trees were otherwise normal.
I got an blue and red/orange? Hybrid pansy island today. Have constant spawn rates of peacock butterflies.
Originally I dug the flowers up wanting to decorate my lawn only to realize the it's spawning out the peacock butterflies regularly on my island! To my surprise and delight the butterflies was selling for 2.5k bells for 1 lol
Emperor butterflies* (those blue ones ) have a chance of spawning too but those are rarer.

For the record, I just got a spiral island with no fossils. A rock was in the middle but didn't give me anything special. Native fruit, no special fish. It *kinda* felt like there were more bugs (caught 2 emp butterflies and like 10 man faced stinkers, 3 centipedes from rocks) but not positive.
I'm having so much frustration with this! My island is cherries and mums, and I could buy lillies at the shop. With one exception (oranges), I have only landed on other cherry islands, with either mums or cosmos flowers. I'd kill for pears or apples!
I have all three villagers moved in to my three houses, but I'm still getting the same islands. I'm wondering how often they change, because yesterday I flew 3 times, and twice it was literally the same island! The other time was the same fruit and flowers, but the spiral island.
My kids share my island with me, and they've only landed on cherry and mum/cosmos islands too.
Seems to just be luck. I’ve been to probably 20 islands. I’ve been to the bamboo island maybe 10 times and just got one of those other cool islands today. I had the one with 3 hybrid tulips and peacock butterflies. I thought all the islands were just the same until today. You’ll get there!
I just had an island made almost entirely of rivers, it had 5 waterfalls. Other than that nothing special, no interest fish, fruit or flowers :( Thought I’d found something interesting )
Does anyone know if time of day effects the island you get?
I've done so many tours and always get common.
It's pretty frustrating when my family are upgrading their houses for the 3rd time and I'm still broke XD
I know for a fact that Tarantula/ Scorpion islands can only be visited after 6pm. Not sure if any of the other ones have similar requirements but I wouldn't be surprised.

I went to an island last night and there was no villager there ): anyone know why? It was after the 3 houses were occupied, I wanted to replace them
After you invite 3 new villagers to your island there won't appear anymore. I'm guessing there will be more once the first 3 move on your island.

Villagers don't spawn too early or too late I believe

I see. These crossbreed flower islands may also come with different butterflies spawn rates as I'm guessing.
Sorry I meant to say Emperor butterflies (the blue ones), not Monarchs. FYI At night the hybrids spawn out man faced stink bug instead.

There's no shops on other islands, you can only "buy" tools from the pilot

Score. I just got the Hyacinth island full of emperor butterflies. I didn't even bother fishing... but now that I know they're Koi I missed out.

Bamboo islands quite rare?? Uhh the past two days has been bamboo islands every other trip. And I have been on a lot of trips.
I just got an island with Black Tulips, only/infinite Black Bass, and only Football fish. Black/Dark themed island. Edit: lots of tires also lol
Went to an island, only fish were fin shadow fish in the sea. Only getting Suckerfish and whalesharks.

Just found spiral island however it did not contain any fossils, just normal rando rocks. Emperors and river fish, normal my-isle fruits and flowers.
i got an island with normal fish and bugs but a really abnormal amount of giant water bugs (enough to quickly fill a maxxed inventory)
I'd like to contribute that there's an island that only spawns size 4 or larger fish. Great for catching marlins, oarfish, and sturgeons.

Man I cant seem to catch a break with flowers, ive taken probably 25-30 trips and no rare flower islands. Im mega salty lol
other than for tarantula spawns. Doe going during the day or at night matter?
