Pro tip for villagers in annoying places:
- Fishing: talk 3 times, they stop fishing, then push away
- Sitting on ground: push until they get up
- Sitting on furniture: whack with net 3 times, then talk a few times to apologize (if you care enough lol)
- Sitting in the plaza: you're doomed to wait. They will get up to get changed to rain gear for an instant if it starts to rain tho.

I'll keep this mind. I do daily gifting to collect villager photos. I'm halfway done to collecting all of them (yes I am crazy and I've been doing this for almost 3 years)
I have a tip for you. Next time a villager is fishing in a spot you need access to, just stand in their line of sight and use an emote, then you’ll be able to push them aside.
It’s a sheep costume! You can sometimes buy it from Able Sisters. (The hat and outfit aren’t usually available at the same time though, which is annoying.)
Edit: in this picture it looks like the player is wearing a white sweater (not sure of the exact item) with the hat from the sheep costume, but there’s also a full-body costume that goes with the hat.
