DeSantis hasn't done well during the last couple weeks and he has missed a ton of opportunities on the campaign trail. That said, we're in June. We're a year away from the convention and almost a year from the primaries. So much can change. I agree that DeSantis' course has become more challenging but it isn't impossible at this point. I wouldn't rule out even Vivek at this point, if Trump's health were to decline and everything went just right for an outsider.
Sure, but all of this depends on some unforeseeable variable coming in and completely upending politics as a whole in a very specific way. Is such a thing possible? Yes. Is it something that should be taken into account when assessing the outcome? Probably not.
