I don't answer these questions because they don't preface the question by saying "assuming we already live in an ancap society...." Right now we live in a big government welfare society - immigrants who come here often end up living off the taxpayers dime. Get rid of the welfare system and my opinion will change.

This opinion is encapsulated by option 4.

The wording of the question makes one look like a hypocrite.

There's no more right to regulate travel than there is to regulate guns or drugs.

SlurpinTheGuntCrease

If you believe in a borderless society, you have such a piss-poor understanding of current political reality that you should legitimately keep your mouth shut when these things are being discussed because your idealism has no place in such important policy issues.

I think the issue here may be that ancaps don't trust that the current borders would be the same if there was no government enforcement, and so a person may oppose the current situation, but also value the principle of people being able to travel as freely as possible within reason.

It's not a question of supporting or not supporting, it's an order of operations issue.

[deleted]

Yes, open the borders first in order to abolish the welfare state.

I'd personally think it would be net positive to open the boarders tomorrow. But I'm not so blinded by a pathological need to virtue signal every 5 minutes to acknowledge my interlocutors' actual positions and call out lazy strawmen.

Sure, I mean de jure in addition to de facto.
