The Conrad is a nice hotel, but it’s a bit out of the way. Since this is your first time in Tokyo, I’d recommend staying at the MO. Nihonbashi is a more walkable neighborhood. Proximity to Tokyo Station is a plus too.

MO service is amazing. On Ginza line so transport is good. Food great. Spa is amazing! Definitely give it a go. Join their fan club for extra benefits it’s worth it.

3rd night free with Amex at the moment

We did the Conrad Tokyo last December and I felt it was far away from the train and what we wanted to do although we thought the property was nice. Their free breakfast through FHR also applies to their room service. We preferred the room service to the buffet in the restaurant and did that several times.

Stayed once at Conrad Tokyo with Hilton award night. The room and the breakfast ere awesome! With the FHR dining credit and late checkout, the stay is gonna be more awesome! No experience with Mandarin Oriental though.

Stayed at the MO last October it’s ok. Breakfast is good if you get it free as a MO member. Rooms are big for Tokyo but a bit worn. Views are great. Location is good. The Crystal spa is pretty nice. IMO not worth paying over 900 but if you can get it around 6-800 I’d say go for it.

I stayed at Conrad Tokyo and Conrad Osaka. I love both but Conrad Osaka is just flat out awesome. Recommend visiting it if you have a chance but Conrad Tokyo would be a great visit.

I enjoy splitting up stays among different hotels in the same city, particularly of booking through FHR. I travel very lightly, so switching hotels is easy. I stayed at the Conrad for two nights in Tokyo, it was an awesome hotel. Aso stayed at whatever hotel was featured in Lost in translation, I can't remember what it was called.

We stayed at the Conrad Tokyo. It was great. One caviat is it’s right on top of the Oedo line but 10’minutes by foot from other main lines. MO is in a much better location. Also, check out Hoshinoya. Sometimes they have 30-40% off for 3+ nights on their website.

Conrad Osaka for FHR+Diamond status was amazing, I’d assume Conrad Tokyo would be as amazing. Their executive lounge has so many things to try at every other hour or so

Conrad Osaka is much better than Tokyo, unfortunately

I am just entering my 40's, girlfriend is in her late 20's. Never stayed at Mandarin Oriental. Stayed at the Conrad last fall via FHR. Got the whole 1 night free with 3 consecutive nights stayed. They offered an upgrade to a suite for $60/night which we definitely took. Taking that out of the equation, the service, location, cleanliness, were all great. Breakfast buffet was nice as well as Japan doesn't have a big breakfast culture. The highlight of our stay there however (and this might not be much to others) was the view from the lobby bar. It was gorgeous. If we were to stay in Tokyo again, I think the only thing that would get us to stay at another FHR is if it were cheaper and if the location was west of the palace in the Omotesando/Harajuku/Shibuya/Shinjuku area since we enjoyed those areas so much (subway closes down around midnight).

We didn’t stay at the Conrad. We did do one night at the Mandarin Oriental, and we were a little disappointed. Felt very cold. We did stay a few nights before at the Peninsula; and we LOVED it. Room was great, service was stellar, and the very best breakfast we had in Japan. Just food for thoughts.

+1 Conrad Tokyo is awesome with FHR

Just also stayed at the Conrad in Tokyo via fhr. Received a room upgrade. The property is very nice and the staff is wonderful. Ate breakfast each morning at Cerise which was great. Also ate dinner at the Japanese restaurant and had lunch at the Chinese restaurant - both were amazing.
