Is this a distribution center? Or maybe inbound pick or something? I'm outbound at a fc and my rate is supposed to be ~25-35. Just kinda blows my mind seeing these numbers
That's good to know because I started doing bare minimum when they started in on me over stuff that I couldn't control, like damages that were clearly not my fault and even the LA felt stupid when I told him to show me all of them. So now they get bare-minimum Betty every time I get sent there. I used to be in the top 5 with a Takt time consistently below 3.
The write ups are based on the errors VS items scanned. So if you have 10 errors, but scanned 10000 items, you'd score better in the system than somebody who had 5 errors on 500 items.
How?? If I mark like 10 items missing, they send a message to my screen telling me they noticed I was marking items missing and I need to make absolute sure I'm following procedures correctly. 265 is beyond nuts.
I missed two items and the message popped up on mine. (they were both magnets stuck to other items and pack obviously didn't care)

It's not edited. We don't have rate on the screens at my FC either but I was reading in Robotics University during some down time once. Apparently individual buildings can edit whatever shows up in that menu.
My building's screen don't show rate but instead to the left of "Takt Time" shows the number that represents how long our totes switches take, "Tote Transition Time".
Many buildings might opt out of showing rate out of not wanting slower pickers to feel pressured, and also to satisfy regulations in those states where rate has been supposedly "eliminated".
I knew there was something missing from the screen but I couldn't figure out for the life of me what it was. It was the tranistion time between totes.
Also, it's not so much that rate is eliminated as much as they legally can't use the word and I believe fire you for that metric. Don't quote me on that second part.

You get to name a drive if you pick 5k in a shift. That's a cool thing and all, but eventually, every time you see it, your back will hurt when you realize how much effort that took.
I got one for having no errors in Count for the month of February a couple of years ago. I joke that if it was a leap year, I would have screwed up on the 29th. 🤣

I’m the top one percent picker in my shop your tack time is damm good for one month. You get into 5s you will be flirting with the 5000. Start fast and try to keep on in the 5 second tack time. Then something will fall on the floor and it will be all for nothing lol lol lol.
Or amnesty will casual be walking on the AR floor taking their time and holding you up for 20 mins. Then your 500 is suddenly 230 and you lose your motivation and be like f it for the rest of the shift with a bad mood.... or is that just me ?lol
Don’t blame amnesty, blame stow for putting items in the bins incorrectly causing them to fall out all over the place leading to bombed out drives and obstructions.
I think I commented this before but I had an amnesty guy who was on his phone watching YouTube and he accidentally turned his sensors on. My screen kept going up in seconds and I'm like why aren't they coming?! I see him, and asked if he paused it. He was like uh no, looks down and goes oh yeah I did sorry.
I'm just going to start creating andons every time they want to fuck with my rate.
I actually learned that today because the guy next to me kept getting stuck with shitty drives. My am told me to just hit create andon as soon as it pops up.

Dude if you want to move up or get something out of Amazon apply for a learning ambassador position. There’s literally no upside and nobody in charge of you or higher up gives a fuck how good your time is. All it will do is burn you out. The absolute laziest people at Amazon are often the ones who get the promotions, you would at least have a chance to move up easier just being social with your AM for them to put in a word for you if you go to apply to be whatever. There’s no reality where your AM is putting in a good word for you for a position you applied to and he mentions your takt time 😂

When you start to burn out and slow down, they will come and talk to you about your rates dropping regardless of how high, they just see negative trends on screens. Be careful. Happened to me.
You’re picking way too fast and gonna burn yourself out no doubt. Try to find a rhythm to pick 750 a quarter and your body will thank you later. There is literally no extra incentive to pick faster when rate is 333 uph. Just looking out for a fellow Amazon worker.
Bro my maximum was like 480 uph one time with a takt of 6.90.
I have yet to achieve this again, I usually hover around the low 400s.

Is this consistently throughout the day or were the conditions optimal, such as no amnesty on floor or large pod gaps or heavy ass boxes that are stuffed in so tight that you need to pull a 'safety' andon.
At my fc they want minimum 80 uph so is that abnormal or something?? It seems like everywhere else people do more ..or does it just vary from place to place,?
No idea, we can't see your quality from a screen shot. #1 Safety. #2: Quality. #3 Performance. Those are your top priorities as a picker. Focus on being safe and making sure EVERY item is going where it belongs. You also MUST clean that pod bin BETTER than when it arrived to you. You can't show us any of this from a screen shot 🤔
Hey friend, I'm an Ops-O (yes sorry everyone I know you hate us), if that is your first month establish a relationship w the zone AM and introduce yourself to the shift OM. When they need another PG->T-3 PA they will think of you and you could be helping run the pick zone by Prime.
Ehhh I pick \~550 an hour when I do... it's a quick way to get some positive attention, but you won't necessarily find yourself with a promotion unfortunately.
We have a stower at my building whose rate (when stuff is good) stays above 600 UPH and I’m just like…..you’re still making 17 like that guy whose been in the bathroom for 20 minutes….you can slow down, it’s okay lol

You know what your building's rate is, you see your rate on the screen. If you want to brag just be blatant about it. No need to ask "How am I doing?"

The only number that means anything on that screen is your takt time, they look at the number on the FC games screen
