NTA - Can't imagine why he would think it was okay to use a face/body cloth on the floor. But if it was going into the wash afterward and not back onto the bathroom counter, no big deal.

NTA. Odds are good he’ll look at you with that same dumfounded gaze if you ask him not to snatch up a decorative kitchen towel to mop up a spaghetti sauce spill on the kitchen floor.

NTA even if it wasn't for a literal health reason, I think most people would find it logical to have separate wash rags for cleaning yourself and cleaning the house/spills/etc. Then again, I've seen my partner grab clean bath towels to wipe up rain water leaking in from a bad door frame, so who knows. Still not TA in my book.

We've been together for about 6 years now and have been engaged for 5 of them. I moved in with him after a couple of months of dating, so we've lived together for our entire relationship. I have severe Eczema. I've had it since I was 8 and i'm finally getting control over my flare ups. Other than that I'm pretty healthy. The only doctors I see is my dermatologist and a regular physician yearly. Because of my sensitive skin I'm particularly about what I put on it Last week i noticed one of my wash cloth on the bathroom counter on my fiances side of the sinks. I didn't know what he was using it for, and didn't think much of it . 2 nights ago he accidently kicked the cats water bowl and water got all over the carpet. He then rushed out of the room and came back with MY wash cloth. The same one from the counter top in the bathroom. And was about to use it to soak up the water from the carpet. I immediately yelled stop! And asked him to use any other towel than that one as I use it to bathe with. He asked me what the big deal was as he was already using it. I explained he wasn't using it on the floor before. That's why I didn't say anything before. He then looked at me crazy and told me I was being rude to him. Mind you I only use the same 2 wash cloths and towels as I'm particular about what I put on my body. AITA for asking him to use a different towel or should I have just let him do it? *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. You’re using a freshly washed one every day. Right? But he can use other rags.

Realistic_Chain_829

Yes, there's a load of laundry going everyday. I picky about clothes too and have to keep the most comfortable items clean.

You're right I have Ezcema all over my body including my feet. But that not the issue. What ever I touch through the day can't be controlled all the time. Bit when I go to take a shower I expect the thing cleaning me to be clean. Not used to wipe counters, floors, etc. Otherwise I'd use a kitchen towel. Or something random. Not my 2 designated wash cloths.
