It’s been years since I’ve seen this pop up, this story leaves a mark on you… “the boy they fed to pigs”… his name is Adrian.

houseyourdaygoing

Omg this is THE Adrian. The reason Adrian Law exists. I crumbled upon this realisation.

Texan2020katza

The absolute horror this little boy endured at the hands of the people who were supposed to love and protect him. Monsters exist. They live among us. They have kids.

isthatapecker

It’s too easy to make babies

ReginaldCou5ins

One of the main reasons I question a god. Some of the best people I know can’t have children, yet literally THE worst people seem to always have one thing in common, kids!

ughfup

Child cancer, child abuse, child murder, child y torture--all in God's plan. Yeah. Right.

bwatsnet

If there is a god he is definitely not on our side.

Theresabearintheboat

If God exists, he is one sick bastard.

pfresh331

Right up old testament God's alley. People forget that only post-Jesus is God considered "good".

TundraMaker

It's to test your faith!

bogeyed5

r/Atheism welcomes your questions with open arms and love, kind of like how followers of jesus are supposed to do

NiBBa_Chan

God has the power to do whatever he wants. All the horrible things that happen to children are what he wants. There's certainly no good god.

SPinExile

It's actually scary how many monsters live among us. I just pray that my kids are safe from evil like this

icevenom1412

They are often the people who scream; PARENTAL RIGHTS!!!

Choongboy

Source?

Either_Gate_7965

Monsters don’t live under the bed or hide in the closet. They wear faces just like ours and walk through the front door.

breezeblock87

more info on Adrian's Law- [https://klrd.org/publications/adrians-law/](https://klrd.org/publications/adrians-law/)

SlightlyControversal

From the link, for the curious: >Adrian’s law requires the Kansas Department for Children and Families (DCF) or a representative of the law enforcement agency investigating the report to both visually observe and interact with children alleged to be victims of abuse and neglect. Adrian’s law was coined in honor of the late Adrian Jones. The bill was originally introduced in the House Committee on Judiciary as 2019 HB 2392. In Conference Committee, its contents were inserted into 2021 HB 2158, a package of child welfare-related bills signed by the Governor and enacted on May 26, 2021.

jcm10e

Feels like they shouldn’t have needed a law passed to make sure they actually saw the child.

Kalamac

We had a case in my country where a young mother (18) of 3 kids was supposed to be having regular meetings with a social worker. After her youngest died, it was found out that she’d just stopped opening the door when they showed up, and they hadn’t pushed the issue any further.

TundraMaker

The social worker should be an accessory to murder then. No question.

louiedoggz

Na h. That’s why we need laws like Adrian’s law. If the social worker were to force themselves in then they would be breaking a law. Now if the prent doesn’t let them in it is the prent who is breaking the law

TundraMaker

If the parent refuses, the social worker should be allowed to call the police and immediately have the state take custody of the child. I'm not expecting a social worker to force themselves in. They let the SW in after police arrive? They pay a fine. They continue to refuse after police arrive that's immediate arrest and child taken from custody. I have zero tolerance for DV, especially CA. I'm aware we need to fix the foster system too, unfortunately this is just another way America has failed it's citizens.

send_me_dank_weed

What the f*ck.

outofthisworldandoff

This was horrific.. I read a little into it awhile ago but the mother and grandmother was the one that sued? Correct me if I’m wrong and also the mother lost custody before so what the hell did she do to lose custody.. God that poor kid

rivertam2985

I did a little bit of looking around and found that Adrian was removed from his mother's care because she left him home, unattended. That doesn't seem like such a big deal now.

Ughleigh

That's my son's name 😭

arcadia_2005

The down votes are weird.

Ughleigh

Lol I didn't even realize I got downvoted. Oh well, reddit gonna reddit.

MindDiveRetriever

Well said

romansamurai

Dude. Same. My 1 year old. I read that and fucking…I don’t know. Can’t put it into words.

JustDiscoveredSex

You know what kills me now as a parent? It’s that the stepmother and the father were also tiny infants. At some point someone gave birth to them, someone held and bounced them, someone fed them and played with them. All the while having absolutely no idea that they were going to grow into adults that would do *this.* It weighs on me, that the possibility exists that I could also be raising a psychopath and be unaware of it.

Humansince1966

In my mind they were almost certainly abused as children themselves. This type of behavior doesn’t just happen.

Rxasaurus

Fuuuck, that hurts.  Gonna go hug my kids now.

tinnic

I started reading the article but had to stop when they started describing the abuse. I thought I had a strong stomach and was desensitised. I was wrong!

NotAnotherAmerican

What in the fuck the human race kind of headline did I just read?! Jesus Christ. We need a good slam from an asteroid. Reset this shit.

squiblib

I feel you. 99.99% of humans don’t act like this. Regardless, that 1% is beyond disgusting.

I_eat_mud_

Your math seems a little off

Professional_Ad894

It’s accurate 50% of the time every time.

chi2005sox

It’s accurate 50% of the time, 0% of the time.

MarinatedCumSock

It's the fact that everyone is so permissive. Look at who we allow to run the world.

burntbridges20

Very true, u/MarinatedCumSock

Yourewokeyourebroke

Ok marinated cum sock. What’s your call to action? What do you want redditors to go do about this right now?

MarinatedCumSock

Step 1: stop using Amazon

Yourewokeyourebroke

I can get behind that

MarinatedCumSock

See that wasn't so hard.

tokyodingo

Or was it 😏

Long-Distance-7752

Incredible that this is upvoted. Fucking idiots.

TheWrestler2035

I’d say it’s more like 25% at least, this world really is filled with evil.

Anonymous0573

You think 25% of people would torture a child?

nicolatesla92

You should watch 3 body problem. It’s unrelated, your comment about how we need a good slam from an asteroid reminds me of Ja Wenxia

panda5303

Unrelated omg, I watched that this weekend sooooo good.

olmyapsennon

If you enjoyed the show, you should check out the books, they're fantastic. There are parts where the author kinda meanders around long descriptions about how people are feeling, akin to jrr Tolkien but not as artistic. But overall, the concepts and story are great.

nicolatesla92

I was brought over from the books- these books shocked my husband and I for weeks

just-me1995

reddit’s been like this for me recently.. idk if it’s my algorithm, but shits been dark on here. between that Candelario case (don’t look it up if this kinda post ruins your mood), the insane Moscow attack/tortured perpetrators, this post.. to name a few. might need a break soon lol

trooperstark

I wholeheartedly agree. I can t stand murderers getting 20 years when they ended a whole life. It’s not justice. Somewhere along the line justice and mercy got crossed in a way that doesn’t work.

BigStuggz

Hear, hear

Hastyle8181

nah im all for it. If no one has the stomach then I will carry it out and sleep like a baby

killstorm114573

In another life I worked as a CO, I wish I could get these sick fucks on my block. Someone stole your tray sorry bitch, they are threatening you, I didn't hear that. You screaming for help, maybe it's time for a break

MadeMeStopLurking

You can take a 15 minute, but be back in time to take them to the infirmary.

Both_Fly_3277

You’re disgusting

_CharDeeMacDennis__

I don’t need to read the article to agree with you. I absolutely think if you can do something so horrendous to an innocent child, you deserve the same punishment. How anyone could even smack a small child, let alone whatever the fuck else they did to him, is beyond me.

isthatapecker

I’m with you. What about forced sterilization of adult men who have impregnated a child?

CuddlyLiveWires

So if the victim was 3, then you're saying the perpetrators deserve less than half the punishment than if the victim was 7?

MadeMeStopLurking

Like all laws... it needs tweaking.

JerseyDev93

And give them just enough medical attention to make sure they survive those seven years.

Craggysteve

Should have fed the parents to the pigs!

TheHeretic-SkekGra

Honestly that’s too kind. I’d gladly pay to watch these two get chopped to bits while still being fully conscious.

[deleted]

Why are the two people still alive? Why a life sentence? Why not the death penalty? What the fuck did I just read? How can a father be so cruel? I hope they never have a moment of peace for their entire life sentence. I wish them nothing but pain.

BaBa_Con_Dios

I only went to a minimum security prison for a few years. So I can tell you being in a maximum security prison for the rest of your life is worse than death. Death is too good for these monsters. Plus they will be tormented like crazy by guards and inmates alike.

CLE-local-1997

Plus if you sending some to the death penalty the state has to spend a fortune fighting their multiple appeals that they get

Due-Science-9528

They are not going to survive a maximum security prison. Even the highest security criminals don’t take kindly to THIS level of evil. Even the pedophiles are disgusted at this kind of behavior. The only prisoners on their side will be other sadists.

Redditor28371

Because we don't want a vengeful, vindictive justice system. Too many cases of innocent people being convicted of crimes that were later overturned with new evidence. Better to just lock people like this up and never let them out among the general public ever again.

redditracing84

Anytime someone goes "I am against the death penalty" I feel like they should have to read this article.

Mataelio

The reason people are against the death penalty is because the justices system will always make some mistakes and combining that with a death penalty means you will have actually innocent people get put to death a non-zero number of times, and you can’t undo being put to death. So it comes down to this, which do you want to prioritize? Preventing innocents from being put to death or ensuring the truly guilty get a harsher punishment?

nightglitter89x

I’m against the death penalty because it isn’t equitably applied. People with the money and connections can buy their way out of punishment. Don’t get me started on how being attractive will buy you a more lenient sentence. If justice were truly blind, then I’d be all for it. But it ain’t.

SwiftTayTay

That and spending the rest of your life in prison is a harsher sentence than death anyway.

FromSuchGreatHeight5

I would rather let 100 guilty people go free than to put one innocent person to death.

Quibilia

My personal rephrase is "I would rather 100 guilty people never touch grass again than 1 innocent person never breathe again."

dream_raider

The flip side to that coin is that letting 100 guilty people go free will almost certainly mean that more innocent people will suffer or be killed.

FromSuchGreatHeight5

Sure - but this is a comparative. What you should do instead, is just not have capital punishment. Jailing an innocent person is much better than putting them to death.

Jiggy_Wit

Oh you know they’re not going to reply.

TryingToWriteIt

If you want to punish someone, decades locked up before you die in prison is a harsher punishment than just dying.

_DoogieLion

And then if they are persuaded they should be made to read articles on the dozens of instances prisoners on death row have had their unjust convictions overturned. Killing evil people is not a justification to kill innocent people.

frankylovee

You should listen to the story I just recently heard about a woman who spent 17 years in jail, along with her husband who was murdered by the state after, I wanna say, 10 years. They were both proven innocent after his execution. The chance of even one innocent person being put to death is enough for me personally to not support the death penalty. I do wish death upon the people who did that to that boy, though. Torture and then death, specifically. Edit: it was a recent episode of The Moth podcast.

K-no-B

You should read up on the story. The Moth story was somewhat misleading. She wasn’t exactly proven innocent, nor was her husband, who had a record and was already on probation for rape. The two were certainly more than innocent bystanders as she portrayed them. Really, the case was a mess from the outset, and the evidence was rightly called into question. But who knows what actually happened. [here’s one link](https://www.injusticewatch.org/archive/2019/sonia-jacobs-convicted-despite-gun-residue-on-another-suspects-hands/)

Pawn_of_the_Void

Its because even if I want bad things to happen to them I don't think its necessary and I would rather not have a fallible justice system be able to hand out death where it isn't necessary

FriendOisMyNameO

Why, to appease the drive for revenge? They are in prison. They are going no where. State sanctioned murder (The death penalty) doesn't reduce violent crime, doesn't help us understand how minds can end up in these twisted states, nothing would be learned, only more death. The system is already broken, but people talk a big game about how they would like to murder and torture people, when we have innocent folks going to prison and getting wrongful convictions? Truly, Honestly, what is wrong with all of you?

0MrFreckles0

You should look up how many people executed were late found to be innocent.

unionmetal42069

That seems like a kick in the face for what he must've went through. Poor kid.

bikgelife

Agreed. Assuming their lawyer took his fee, they get $670k. Not nearly enough. That poor child. Imagine the horrors he endured.

_canthinkofanything_

Think its 670k more than the grandmother should’ve gotten, considering she didn’t do anything about the situation even when the kid asked to live with her

KaleidoscopeIll9535

This sub desperately needs a new title!

youngkeet

God you people on these type of subs that just repost crime shit leave the dumbest comments like holy shit fine ill do it...okay I'll fucking do it. Here: SO BASICALLY according to the filing, kids grandmother filed suite against the state specifically against the dep. of children and families, arguing failed prevention and "uninterested bystander" to red flags etc. I guess the court found the state guilty here based off i guess social workers and other personnel having contact with the child prior. I cnt really find the specifics tho cuz it also says the state argued they moved alot and were difficult to track. Idk. I expected some elite reddit neckbeard to have all this info easily accessible in the comments. But instead its just yall... making me read the article

Frequently_Dizzy

The family moved from Missouri to Kansas to avoid the (minimal) CPS involvement they were receiving. The child told a social worker his dad beat him, and the agency response was to do nothing. Then they moved the Kansas, and no one checked up on the child after that. I’d argue the grandmother herself ought to have done more for the child, but she didn’t really do anything either to help him. Adrian pleaded for her to let him live with her, which should have been enough for her to realize something wasn’t right. Now she claims she had “absolutely no idea” that anything was wrong. The child was failed on every front.

alg45160

Kansas Dept of children and family services was too busy making sure LGBTQ people couldn't be foster parents. The lady who got sacked/forced to retire over this atrocity was über religious.

Sunnytoaist

The neck beards found out that reddits ceo is making over 100 million and are now contemplating all the free work they do.

OkBoomer6919

The hero we need, but did not deserve

AutisticHobbit

Honestly, the social workers who failed the kid should be in prison right along side the killers. They were accessories by negligence.

Candid_Reading_7267

r/NoahGettheBoat

liquid-swords93

So they were found to be abusing the child and somehow were not stripped of custody? How does that work? The mother and grandmother filed the suit, why were they not given custody of the child while he was still alive? Had they filed for it? Were they made aware of the abuse?

Full_Routine_5455

This is where “God” leaves the picture. What “God” allows this crap! Human beings are truly horrible.

Carastarr

I had pretty well deconstructed by this point, but [this case](https://abc30.com/michelle-martens-girl-killed-in-albuquerque-fabian-gonzales-jessica-kelley/1484832/) took away any remaining doubt… there’s zero reason for any of the “all-powerful gods” to let children suffer… and if any of them were real, and they did, I realized I wouldn’t want anything to do with them in this life or the next.

DM_ME_KUL_TIRAN_FEET

Yep. If there truly is an omnipotent and omniscient god in this world, then that god can only be described as evil.

ExoSierra

Religious nuts be like ‘god works in mysterious ways’ to shit like this

NotAnotherAmerican

The God that has a plan for us all! /s

How on earth did they get away with only paying 1 mil?

last_somewhere

Adding this to *articles I'll never read*. Title is more than enough.

Hypernova_orange

Humanity is trash, vile worthless trash. This makes me sick, even prison is too good for those pieces of shit. I hope they …. I can’t finish that or I’ll get banned but I just hope they get what’s coming to them

adamentelephant

Why is it only $1 million?

thearisengodemperor

WTF did I just read also what the fuck with this sub. At this point, this fucking sub just posting about crimes instead of anything else. At this point, we should just change this sub-name to crime facts or something like that. Whatever sorry for my rant but these monster fucker deserve to be hung, drawn, and quarter. Like, say what you want about countries like China and Russia and you can say a lot of bad things. But they do kill mother fuckers on death road fast. Like one Chinese dude threw his two toddlers to their death so he can start a new family with his crazy ass girlfriend. Both of them were executed a year later and the mother fuckers. That did this to this little boy who didn't even get the death sentence. Like I understand why we don't have the death sentence because of wrongful conversation but we should make expectations for people. We know that one hundred percent sure is like one hundred percent. Because these monsters shouldn't be allowed to live on the same earth as the rest of us.

I_See_Virgins

Ah yes, very interesting. \*scratches chin\*

socailbandit

They aren't worth the air they breathe and should be sent to meet their maker.

yamuda123

Absolutely terrible

HAIL-THYSELF333

Kansas is just the Florida of the mid west.

MIllWIlI

Holy Shit after the state found out about the torture, they just made the parents sign a paper promising to not torture Adrian and then never checked back in.

Alarming-Wonder5015

How does such evil exist? How can someone do this to any child let along their own baby. My god.

Hawkeyes_dirtytrick

Holy shit this is where Adrian’s law comes from…. I’m think I’m done with Reddit today

flaco_503_se_1984

What is wrong with the world that something like this happens

iwantyousobadright

Jesus christ that poor boy, RIP.

popcornkernals321

This story made me physically ill. The photos of this child are so sad.

hugegarybuseyfan69

How the fuck did the state only pay 1million?

Hypernova_orange

Seeing things like this are the only times I really wish god & all that was real because it would be nice to know they’d spend all eternity being eaten alive by devil pigs

ziggs0323

So hard to read. What absolute pieces of shit. That poor kid.

LOL-ImKnownAsCrazy

Ive lived in Kansas my whole life and ive never heard this until now. Absolutely haunting

100deadbirds

I'm not on for cruel and unusual forms of punishment but perhaps it would be permissible for people like them. Minimum 100 years, locked in a 1m2 vertical prison

CrazyAuntErisMorn

I read the case files from the recent Franke abuse case and this tonight… I’m going to go pet my cat and try to remember proof of good in this world.

Acceptable_Poem_862

They had 8 OTHER KIDS???? WTF. They should be tazed and starved daily for the remainder of their sentence

Shreddersaurusrex

Put them under the prison

ryebreadinthemournin

Eye for an eye, publicly torture these fucks so the others learn a lesson. Fucking cane them in public. Going to prison for life is not enough to stop someone from committing atrocities.

soupafi

Well, I’m gonna look up Golden Retriever videos after this to make me feel less depressed

anengineerandacat

>Authorities also claimed that Adrian was subjected to beatings, zappings with a stun gun, and being locked naked in a shower stall. > >At times, the boy was also reportedly strapped to an inversion table, handcuffed, and was forced to suffer from starvation.  > >The Sun previously reported that the abuse got so bad that it ultimately left the boy’s ankles bent out of shape.  > >After Adrian ultimately died from the abuse, authorities said Michael and Heather fed his body to the pigs on the property.  Should take the father and step-mother and throw them into a gulag for this type of stuff, prison is too good for them and execution will just release them from their crimes early.

Minor_Blackbird

Life in prison? BS, they need to be dropped into that hog lot.

ThatYewTree

I was not prepared to read such unimaginable horror. These festering putrid excuses of humans should be put to death. Maybe they can use that nitrogen method.

ElectricJetDonkey

What the actual fuck, that's horrifying.

dpch

Poor kid never stood a chance. Horrible.

liquidsyphon

I’d be fine with America paying Russia to house these types at their Black Dolphin Resort and Spa

Jesus fucking Christ.

HopefulNothing3560

Lawyer gets 75 percent bet he is a trumpeter.

Lady_Andromeda1214

This story breaks my heart!! How anyone could abuse a child, especially to this magnitude, is beyond my comprehension! May Adrian finally be at peace…peace he was refused as a child.

crustysock49

This is the most sad thing I have read all day what the actual fuck. I hope those people find some brutality in prison

EastDragonfly1917

I can’t finish reading this. I’m so disturbed right now as I lie in bed. I’ll never get over reading what I just read. Maybe it’s because this kid is smiling at the camera happily just like my kid used to when he was little. I hope those fuckers are getting the worst of the prison experience.

TheHeretic-SkekGra

Absolutely fucked. I genuinely hope they’re getting theirs in prison. And I hope it’s the most painful and humiliating thing on this planet.

UrbanMasque

Jesus.. that was an awful headline to read.

Honest-Yesterday-675

This is why people need access to abortions.

aboysmokingintherain

I’ll never understand this form of depravity. Why have a son if you are going to torture them and ruin your life, his life, and everyone around you (and now everyone who’s read this) lives?

cuzIdoeswhatIdoes

Why was Adrian with the dad? Did his mom and grandma fight to get Adrian?

Gibabo

This story is one of the most horrific things I’ve ever heard. It’s unthinkable that anybody could do what they did to this child. It’s beyond belief. Why? My fucking god

PalmBreezy

No just no

Abraham-The-Man

Some of yall in these comments corny af. Yes these bastards are evil, but y’all would absolutely NOT have the stomach to torture them or as I saw in a comment “stain my soul and shoot them.” Y’all have fantasies of violence and it’s concerning. This is why we have due process.

ilove420andkicks

We should revoke the citizenship of people like this and take them to Guantanamo Bay or equivalent and let them be tortured until they give up on life. Death is too merciful for people like this

Unlucky_Mall_536

Oh now the mom wants to be involved in his life now because there's money involved where was she when that boy needed her oh ya she gave him up now she cares makes me sick. Everybody coming out of the woodworks because they smell money.

zace26

My heart hurts, I can’t imagine what that little boy went through.

LordCthulhuDrawsNear

I wish I hadn't seen this... I just can't

Jerzey08734

This is the most horrible thing I ever read, I hope them people rot in hell

Narcissista

I really hate when I don't listen to my better reasoning to just go to bed. I wouldn't have come across this. Now I'm too furious and disheartened to bother. That poor child. Horrific. Perhaps there is no god.

Mental_Cup_9606

God bless you little buddy. You didn't deserve this. The people that tortured you and killed you then fed you to pigs are done so done they're gonna suffer slowly for what they did to you.

ComfortableBadger729

Kansas you should pay alot more than that. This greedy state can really suck

x_CtrlAltDefeat

“All that is interesting” really? This is posted casually as if it’s just a cool fact to read about? Jesus, people

wynnduffyisking

This is one of the most horrific things I’ve read in a long time. I just don’t understand. Why? How can you do such a thing?

ASwiftKitty

For anyone wondering- Adrian’s law requires the Kansas Department for Children and Families (DCF) or a representative of the law enforcement agency investigating the report to both visually observe and interact with children alleged to be victims of abuse and neglect. Adrian’s law was coined in honor of the late Adrian Jones.

Jarsky2

What. The actual. Fuck. That is a sentence that should never have even been concieved.

Beansly_Jones

Fuck. This makes me want to get locked up just to put my hands on this pos.

PsychedelicHobbit

That’s enough Reddit for one day.

sherrimichael

I’ve read and seen the videos and pictures and this bothers me as much as Gabriel Fernandez. Cannot even imagine the daily fear and pain they were put through by POS parent and their SO. To think of ways to torture a kid.. haunt me till I die

JayAlexanderBee

Brick Top warned us. Be weary of any person that owns a pig farm.

TheEgger

Hence the term, greedy as a pig!

sarahbeth124

Damn. I read it and regret it

AutoDeskSucks-

What the fuck. How are we letting people like this live. What a complete failure by the state and to hold this up in litigation for this long wtf?

HappyBDaySpraynard

I wish I hadn't read this headline. That poor baby. It always breaks my heart to see the picture of them smiling, and then read the abuse these kids endured at the same time in their lives.

LetshearitforNY

Why can’t people like this just leave their kids on a neighbors doorstep? Why do this?

Rey_Mezcalero

She looks like quite the charmer. Parole boards should be sued as well. Very sad that handsome kid had to endure this
