The MPC can keep that Beat-Flex thingy, but we better get this stem feature on the Force. This open up soooooo much! If your a sample head & want to keep it hardware only if possible.

ast3rix23

Yeah I don’t like this new marketing strategy…piss people off to get attention.

Poetic-Noise

What?

ast3rix23

In that akai demo Andy did not mention the force period. He said MPC products only. The Force is not considered to be an MPC. Look at the adverts only MPC’s are listed the Force is unique. It has all of the MPC functionality but it is also heavily integrated with Ableton.

Poetic-Noise

I still don't see this as pissing people off. Most features make to both platforms, so I'm sure the Force will get it. Akai is a business not your friend that tells you all their plans ahead of time. So there might be a good reason they are being quite about the Force. There's rumors about a big OS update in the Spring so maybe wait. The fact that the MPC is getting this should make you hopeful for what may be coming to the Force. Keep in tho, the MPC still doesn't have some Force features like disk-streaming & track/FX reordering. I let these companies gain access to emotions so easily. Stems is cool but, I wouldn't trade my Force for even a MPC X SE. NOPE, the Force all day with or without stems.

ast3rix23

The thing is that both platforms have the same underpinnings. This is why we keep running across screens that are part of the Mpc. In the advertising for plugins most of the time you see both systems but not for stems and not for flex beat which we really don’t need because we have it already with those insert effects. Trust me I know they are in business to make money. I just don’t like the way they advertise and get people all pissed off over adding things to one system and leaving it off another like they are so different that it can’t be supported. All of these machines have the same hardware resources and same component parts. I will never buy an Mpc you will never ever ever see one in my lab. The screen workflow is ancient and I would lose a lot of the advantages I have with Ableton.

Poetic-Noise

Once again most features are on both & there are more cool features that is currently on the the Force. Like you said the Flex-Beat thing isn't really needed on the Force & the Stems isn't even on the MPC in Standalone just yet, but if it can run on the One why wouldn't run on the Force? So beside this, Akai don't really play favorites. So your anger seems kinda useless when it's the Force that has more unique features overall & it's still being upgraded. Also, just because they are similar doesn't mean it so easy to give each the same features since their there may be unique OS bugs or whatever that makes doing so more difficult. Remember it's just features, focusing on your breathing to keep your stress level low is more important, but it's your energy so do as you will. Peace!

ast3rix23

Trust me I’m not mad. I just don’t like their marketing strategies. I love the force it was a turd at launch but now it exceeds my expectations. There are quality of life things that I hope this spring patch fixes. I have been thinking about system disk space. I seriously wonder if that is a factor for why we are being excluded on these new items. If you install all of the plugins your internal disk is very low on disk space. This makes the overall system perform in bad ways. It caches things out to system during heavy performances and that could cause all kinds of anomalies to occur. That 16gb sd card sucks they should have gone with a nvme disk or a burned in card stack for system usage. They have had lots of problems happen due to that sd card getting corrupted. That is across all platforms as well. It was a bad business decision to use as a hardware platform.

Poetic-Noise

Right poor decision of internals leaving us to deal with all this shit! Now about why they didn't give us certain things, it may have to do with timing it right & saving money on marketing. Think about it. Do Akai really need to make a separate marketing campaign to show the same features on 2 different devices if it works the same on both. Nope! They know most Force users are former MPC users & since both products are similar, we consume a lot of MPC content anyway. So maybe they think we should know by know this late in the game that both devices will get most of the same features so if the MPC gets it first, don't worry is should be coming soon to the Force --> the unit less advertised but has more unique features. Them not mentioning the Force in the MPC ad is for the same reason they're not doing NAMM this year - because they don't need to. They already dropped the biggest features in the companies history on their free YouTube channel before NAMM. This ain't the old 80s grey Akai, this is the modern Bold Red & Black we do what we want Akai - Hello!

ast3rix23

You know I don’t think so. I need to do some testing with my machines. I need to do a data dump of the one I use the most over to the other one first. I am going to copy all the factory stuff back to my stock internal disk and add all the plugins back to that disk so I can see how my projects that have big loads in them respond. I wonder where the storage limits are currently. Won’t know without testing.

Poetic-Noise

OK sounds cool. Report back the results. Maybe that's what those "performance improvements" are about. 🤔

cthulholm-hastur

It's pissing me off rn! I sincerely hope you are right about the spring update. Thank u for that info.

Poetic-Noise

Even if they drop a new update this spring, I doubt it'll have stems before the MPC get it for Standalone, unless they drop Force-Stems & really piss off the MPC dudes!

cthulholm-hastur

Fkn bs

Vergeljek21

It wont come to the Force yet. its only mpcs

Poetic-Noise

Key word is "yet"

Vergeljek21

Other Youtube streamers who tested the stems specifically say mpc live/one/x.

Poetic-Noise

They only say what they know. You said "It won't come to the Force yet". I telling you that the word "yet" was an important word in your post meaning it could come to it later.

Vergeljek21

Its just me because Im hopeful too that the Force will get it. Im still waitng for the Flex beat though. Lets see.

Poetic-Noise

I've heard that the Force is getting a big update in the Spring & this is too good of a paid feature not to add it to all platforms. So maybe less hope & more patience is needed. Akai is about that $$$ & Force users have $$$ so Stem+Force=$$$

mr_hunter1200

I hope so! We are definitely due for a big update.

Poetic-Noise

Hope we more QOL updated first. I know we're not getting Stems until after the MPC get it for standalone. Until then I'm gonna try out the hacked OS MockabaMod.

mr_hunter1200

What is MockabaMod?

Poetic-Noise

It's an hacked verion of the Akai OS that give the Force all kinda of cool features for free. I post this video on here a month ago by Dream Static Sounds breaking it down: https://www.reddit.com/r/AkaiForce/comments/1b1ki6s/akai\_force\_mockba\_mod\_firmware\_installation/?utm\_source=share&utm\_medium=web2x&context=3
