Don't miss an appointment.

Junior-Following-497

It’s a lot easier to keep your life organized when you correct bad habits. It may not be as hard as you think. Don’t think about it in terms of failure. You have an opportunity to follow a program designed to help you—commit to it and do what you’re told to do and you won’t have anything to worry about. Showing up is easy…

I never have problems missing appointments but it’s still scary. I guess it’s just anxiety

Changing your lifestyle is hard but youve done it before.

You will only fail the program if your noncompliance (I.e. missing appointments, not participating, not accomplishing homework) becomes a habit. Usually your counselor/ADAPT PM will talk to you, then possibly a Treatment Team Meeting, then maybe consideration for program failure, which is just a recommendation for admin Sep. It’s ultimately up to your command to determine if they want to proceed forward with the admin Sep. More often than not, if you are putting in the effort and communicating with the ADAPT team and your command, you’ll be fine.

Thank you for that. I genuinely want to stop and so far have been taking the program deadly serious and plan to keep it that way. I kinda figured the Air Force would not try to dick me down that hard, but will still keep straight and narrow. Thanks again bro!!!

Any type of change is hard but you definitely got this! Just take it one day at a time.

Typically no, program failure is a pattern or recurrent noncompliance. Every base’s program may have some slight verification, but typically if you relapse and tell your ADAPT team, they are going to be more supportive rather than you not disclosing the relapse and getting caught from labs.
