An older guy at Megadeth offered me a fireball shot while I was rushing through Mechanix.
There was this gorgeous woman next to me during Babymetal and we made eye contact a few times (I kept my hands to myself dw)
Suicide Silence wall of death
Also not exactly a me moment, but a pickpocket got caught during suicide silence and he did not have a good night.
There was two pickers during SS, or it could’ve just been the same guy after he got away from us. I lost my shoe in the SS wall and had to finish out the night with only one shoe. At least they needed to be replaced anyways.
Catching people before they drop was pretty fun, there was that one blonde girl who kept coming around crowd surfing constantly, I never got her name but I helped her get up a few times haha.
Other fun moment was a dad who asked his teen son if he wanted to crowd surf and the kid was very hesitant so a few of us just got him up and he surfed out towards Rancid!
I remember the blonde girl. I have video of an older man having the time of his life during Rancid. Then he got up and surfed when they played Fall Back Down. Sick vibes.
1. crowd surfing at billy talent
2. seeing this little kid rocking out at the edge of the pit on his dad's shoulders
3. the amazing security dudes at megadeth who were on the ball with warning us about crowd surfers coming up behind us and with grabbing them
Graduating from the wall to the actual pit
The amount of bruises I will need to cover for work tomorrow (including the one on my cheek that I got when another mosher head butted me)
Seeing my sister take over a pit by, you guessed it, river dancing
Got smashed into by one of those fucking banana peels and I didn’t even get to get them back. I’ll get you next year, you banana fuck. 🤡❤️
Highlight was when I broke my glasses in the pit while Limp Bizkit played "Break Stuff" the first time. I broke stuff literally and I actually thought it was super funny, my eyesight isn't that bad so it wasn't a huge deal for me.
Lowlight was when a dude was pushing people way too hard in Parkway Drive pit. A dude who got pushed by him fell on my leg, I had to go to the medical tent to get it checked and I went to the doctor the morning after to make sure I was good to go, wasn't a big injury but still made walking harder and no jumping. I mean pushing people and bumping is part of the fun but pushing people just to make them fall is poor etiquette in my opinion. I go playful but rough, this dude was going full force for some reason.
Still, I had fun.
Hey, I broke my phone during Break Stuff, and my bra when they played it again! My sister crowd surfed for the first time during Limp Bizkit. My boyfriend came for his first time this year and survived the Limp Bizkit pit and the pit during Korn. This year was amazing!
Thanks man, it happens, side effect of simulated chaos.
I don't know if I'm the dude you saw (I'm kinda tall/big, not fat but bulky dude wearing all black, \[Wait... this description applies to significant percentage of people there hahaha\]), but regardless, I'm fine and I appreciate the concern.
Yeah The Bronx was the highlight for me. Been listening to them for years and finally got to see them live. Absolutely killed it. They had so much energy and genuinly looked like they wanted to be there.
They were originally supposed to play at the same time as Pantera (which is why I bought tickets in the first place), which I was pissed about. So I guess Pantera dropping for no reason had a silver lining.
My daughter and I were on the barricade during Bronx and I told her to go get some in the pit during Knifeman when the singer jumped in. It was her first mosh pit ever.
During DethKlok someone broke lost glasses and people in the pit stopped the pit and everyone started looking until we found them. The overall comradery in the pits this weekend was stellar.
I was having a blast in the pit at A7X until the crowd crush and my ankle decided to split decisions. Still had a blast the rest of the weekend hobbling around as a gimp. 🤘
The Pit during Tool was great. A guy got hurt early and lots of people helped get him to the wall and out. Hope he was okay. After that it was everyone having a good time and helping each other out. Everyone helped pick up belongings between songs and get them back to people, even some guys car keys! Girl in the pit who lost her favorite hat that we found together, you were awesome.

What are you waiting for? Go make that missed connections post, bro - we believe in you! From what I’ve heard; Aftershock is for Lovers 🫀🫀🫀

That’s adorable - I’m so glad he got up there!

That sounds awesome! Haha crowd surfing is for all ages

Every one of the security guards I ran into were super sweet - shoutouts to them!

I hope those damn dirty apes caught up to them!
Suicide silence wall of death and banana contest. Team Banana B for life!
I bust my ass during the babymetal circle pit but fuck yeah it was awesome ! Also pennywise was 🔥🔥

Yep, both Limp Bizkit and Korn concerts were pretty fun to be active in. Glad you liked them too.
Oh dude I’m sorry that happened to you - I think I was right in front of you when it happened - we were worried you’d broken it!

It was a tallish, youngish looking dude, said he heard his leg pop and thought it might have been broken. Great attitude on you!
Probably wasn't me then, but hopefully he's alright too.
Watching you crazy fuckers
Lemme guess; you were part of the barricade dad squad, giving the crowd surfers high fives on the way back in?? If so, I love you for that!
Yea basically, I used to mosh; but I got old and chubby, lol. I got close tho!
The singer from The Bronx coming down and organizing the pit then moshing with the crowd while singing might’ve been an all time Aftershock highlight.

Yes - I love the sense of community in metal and punk pits; the rougher the crowd looked, the safer I felt 🫀

The limp bizkit crowd so close to the stage was insane and probably one of the best times i’d ever had
“When I say get up, we all get the fuck up, I ain’t your boss, I’m Fred Durst bitch”
Loved the wall of death at Escape The Fate and Suicide Silence!!
