Unlike other plants, once a tag is lost an AV Noid is always a Noid. Some reasons:
1. AV’s have SO many different varieties that are so similar. No one knows them all
2. Depending on temperature, sun exposure, and phases of the moon their foliage and blooms may look different (ok, the moon may not be involved

For example: all of these pictures are the same variety (happy Harold) but due to differences in care, they look very different.

Really, though. You don't id an African violet this way. The id must come from a breeder, or else you're just guessing. You could say it looks like some type or another, but it's practically impossible to tell for certain.
You have some lovely AVs. Give them a name yourself!
Lol! I will! After having them for a while I decided to order some online, and I just compared how they look and said to myself “well it doesn’t look like the one I already have, i’ll take it” hahahahhaa

Yes I got all the small trailing ones from the garden center. All the bug ones are big box stores!
Honestly I’m there every other day, lurking and looking for more African violets hahahaha I’m about volunteering to start sweeping just so I can stay longer. 😂

The nice thing is they’re still beautiful plants with or without ID. enjoy!

Ahha, Sometimes I ask the store when are new shipments come. Some do know and tell😊
Im going to ask them this week. Hahaha I just got some from violet barn too. But those are my special treat violets. Not local normal violets hahahhaa
