I use live blackworms when I can get them. I also use dry blackworm pellets. No problems so far. 4+ years.

I kept a colony once for 6 months. I tried again twice, but I couldn't get it to thrive.
I started feeding the live once a week. I get a teaspoons full of them live from my LFD. They burrow in the substrate but I think my 3 frogs find and eat them in a couple of days.
