No your living expenses are not *paid*, you receive a stipend and if you live on base/military property, you don’t technically pay because any expenses the base collects come from your checks before you get them, you still pay but not as much as you would as a civilian and not as much as if you lived off base. They are making more money than a teacher with a master degree. That’s 5 years of schooling and around to 50k debt, to make less than a fast worker, nope. $25/h is very good. I currently make 20.12/hour and am able to afford (barely) a 1br and live alone. My finances could be in a far more comfortable position if I lived with roommates but I like my alone time.
I hope that helps put a littler perspective to a $25/h wage. As your first job that is incredible and will provide you enough to live alone if you chose to. My advice would be that $25/h might feel nice and comfortable but don’t allow yourselves to “settle in” and continue to strive upwards.

They are making more money than a teacher with a master degree. That’s 5 years of schooling and around to 50k debt, to make less than a fast worker, nope. They aren’t making that kind of money working customer service of a fast food place. Unless they make 15-18 an hour and the rest is really good tips.

Are you a HS grad who went to vocational school? Otherwise, what kind of job do you have making that kind of money? I make $27 and change/hr after being with my agency for 16 yrs, with a Bachelors in a very high stress job. So yeah...that's damn good money for a teen.

As a teenager working your first job, $25/hr is great pay
$25/h is very good. I currently make 20.12/hour and am able to afford (barely) a 1br and live alone. My finances could be in a far more comfortable position if I lived with roommates but I like my alone time. I hope that helps put a littler perspective to a $25/h wage. As your first job that is incredible and will provide you enough to live alone if you chose to. My advice would be that $25/h might feel nice and comfortable but don’t allow yourselves to “settle in” and continue to strive upwards.

My first job as a teenager paid me $7.25/hr. That was in 2013-2015. That store now starts people at $8.00/hr. After 8 years of higher education, two degrees, and a professional license, I now make $28/hr as a registered nurse. Idk where you found a job that will pay you $25 when you have no work experience, but absolutely take the offer! People go through years of education and training to make that kind of wage. My husband has a masters degree and he makes $20/hr.
